Link to activate the HP Smart printing gives the file name with "_msi" instead of ".msi"!

I have DL would be & installed the new version of BingBarSetup-partner. When I click on 'Activate' on the HP page for smart printing, the file tries to download me is "hpsmartprintbingbar_msi"! Note underscore instead of a point in the name of the file. Although IE won't let me DL the file because it does not have a legitimate file extension.

I tried several ways to get the file, but no joy!

I don't know this link, you download the .msi file, but you can get the .msi file to an average point round for download full software functionality from the link below, then simply by running the .msi. I would add as well the instructions for it below. Let me know what happens.

Starting a download:
1. run the disk cleanup on your computer
2. download and run the software and the drivers below.
http://goo.GL/jiHgM
3. once the download is done retrieve, cancel the download.
4. click on the start menu.
5. click on run.
6. type %temp% enforcement
7. Locate and open the folder starting with 7z (example: 7zS2356)
8 configuration open the folder
9. open the webprinting folder
10. run the smartwebprinting.msi

  • error the file name with accent passed to GetFileDate()

    Hello

When passing a file or a file that belongs to a path that has one of its names of folders containing a character accentuated to GetFileDate(), I get an error of library function (return value == - 1). For example, all the files in the folder 'Eéprom' return an error. Can anyone please help on how to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

    (LabWindowsCVI 9.0 / Windows 2000 / CVIRTE2009)

Basically, you only add an additional line of printing to your function that creates the BAT file.

    Similar to this:

    fprintf (bat_file, "@echo off\n");

    fprintf (bat_file, "chcp 1252\n");
    fprintf (bat_file, "dir/s/b a - D \"%s\\*.*\"" > \"%s\"\n ", directory, TxtFile);

This should set the code page of the console in which runs your BAT file, so that the dir command will be able to output the accents properly.

  • LR 2.4 now changes the file names with the suffix - 2 when importing

    On Vista...

was perfectly ok, but suddenly it adds now suffix-2 to all files when importing... and this can be seen in the Explorer to do!

    Do not change parameter.

Have checked all the settings / options that I can find, but can't find what does it... the damned that is annoying when importing of large amounts of files (a couple).

    Any suggestions please?

I'll try all of the suggestions, even if I already did... Thank you very much.

... will be here for 4 days... Why choose a destination vacation without internet access? !!! ???

In catalog settings, file management you can set sequence number of import, you can set it to start at 2.

In the import dialog itself that you have a wide choice of naming conventions in the drop-down list of file naming, if value Filename or custom - order of the name it will apply the sequence as shown in the catalog settings.

Here, a link takes me to an article at this link...
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/321379

This article explains then that I need to download and run blindly 'Fix - It' application to obtain the simple ability to print a directory window... but it does not say what I'd do once downloaded the general application of "Fix - It" to get this option which should be part of the Windows 7 basic features first.

Or, the article told me that I can "modify the registry" (?) in order to get the print option window... but I know that by having a character moved when editing the registry, it can bring down the entire computer and make it completely unusable.

Those are really the only options to print all simply a window?... in addition to several screenshots and melted together in Photoshop and then print this image?

Why not just give Windows 7 a 'PRINT' button under 'FILE' as other operating systems have always done... has always done Windows default this feature?

This seems just crazy... This misunderstanding?

I tried to copy and paste the name of the window... This time I tried while holding down the SHIFT key and it sticks anything in Notepad.

This is not what I've proposed.

    • Select the files whose names you want to print. CTRL + A selects all.
    • Hold the SHIFT key, then right click on a file and select copy in the path from the context menu. This will put a list of filenames (path) to the Windows Clipboard.
    • Click inside a document, and the stick.

    Have another go.

  • Adobe PDF printer crashes when you paste into the file name field

Hello, first off there is no similar problem with all freeware pdf printers so I want to remove my config system as being the culprit. This only happens in Adobe PDF format.

How to reproduce the problem? Have something in your Clipboard and try to paste it into the file name field when you print the file in pdf format - you should have now crashed everything that you were trying to print and the program behind it.

Please make a fix for this, it is ridiculous that I have to install a second, freeware, pdf printer because thousand dollar software does not work properly. And I've lost tons of recipes and work this way.

Solution is not to copy and paste into the save box.

I found that this happens in programs other than Thunderbird and the reason why the freeware application works is that you paste into the window of the application instead of Windows' save box.

  • Titles or subtitles of the file name?

Is it possible to automatically generate the titles or subtitles of the file name? I have a video made up of several small files and you need to insert their names under the name of a chapter, or at least as a subtitle. FCPX only supports to support the generation of TC.

The short answer (obtuse) is not. Not in FCPX alone.

I seriously doubt you will be interested in this procedure, but someone might be.

You need movement (this is the only expense here), TextWrangler and a droplet of Automator (see below).

First, gather all your files of clips in a folder.

Drop the file on the files in the folder (the automator app/drop) that will create a text file with the names of all files in the folder. When you are prompted to save the file, you can name it and save it wherever you want.

Gout Gets the names of files from the Finder, and they are complete paths, such as:

    / Users/fx/Desktop/txtLicenses/Aardvark Cafe readme.txt

[You can download a copy of the 'Files in the folder' drop HERE ]

Open a window in TextWrangler, and then drag the text file to a blank page (very cool - TextWrangler automatically opens the file with drag and drop.) [TextWrangler is FREE of Barebones.com (http://www.barebones.com/products/textwrangler/) software, everyone should have a copy! The most recent version is 5.0.2 in date 25/12/2015]

Type the command + F to open the Find/Replace dialog box. Make sure that Grep is checked.

To find them, use this regex:

    .*\/(.+)\.. +

[translated: find everything up to and including the last ' / ' character, can find everything up to the last period and save it as a game (the parenthesis) and then find everything at the end of the line]

    As an alternative, use:

    \1\n

[Translated: prints the substring and adds a newline character - it will be double space lines of text]

In the drop-down menu with the label of 'g', save... (model - something like Remove Path and FileType) so you can find it again easily.

The text from the above example will become:

    Aardvark Cafe readme

[and will follow an empty line]

[I recommend you do all your spelling at this point.] Make sure that all text is as you want it to appear in FCPX. Repair later gets a bit dicey. and generally it is a good idea to start over if you need to make changes to the text file.]

Save the file with another file in TXT format.

    On the move:

Create a project generator. It can be almost any length, so accept the default value of 10 seconds. You will be stretching out in FCPX in any case.

Add: Generators > text > file

[You can use the Inspector to Format to choose the font, size, etc. and the inspector looks for color and 3D options].

In the Inspector of the generator, find the section, load your text file

    Set the speed to Custom

    Reset the Custom speed setting

Publish the speed of Custom setting slider

Save in FCPX (and create a category called subtitles)

When you save the generator in FCPX, the file being used is hard-copied in the media for access folder. You cannot publish the setting browse generator, so all files subtitles prepared in this way are projects of "One Shot". You can throw away them once your project is completed because their utility essentially died with the FCPX project.

In FCPX, apply the generator to the plot and develop it to adapt to the length.

Keyframe of the lines of text to match the timing of your video. This is where double spacing will be useful because it is a real pain in simple lines of keyframe and you will need a bit of space for a step-by-step. You can, of course, import the audio portion of your story in motion, create a project for quite a long time for the entire length and key image subtitles in movement. You can export as, eventually, the subtitle project as ProRes (if you do not use 4444, then you can apply the Composite blend mode add to the layer that you use in FCPX as the background should be black.)

If all of your clips are the same length of time, then using the subtitle generator is a snap. Set a keyframe at 0 for the appearance of the first line and in the end, the last line should appear, simply drag the speed until the last line shows control (should be at or close to 100%). The generator systematically displays a single line both throughout the progression of his 'read'

I found that the faster is to import the audio in motion and create a Motion project, the length of the audio used for subtitles + a little extra at the end.  Listen to the audio, and for each line that you display, add a keyframe... little whatever it is. When there is a keyframe for each line, listen again and adjust keyframe values to display the line. This will leave you with linear transitions from one image to another key (and overlapping in some cases, or the appearance of lines before image real key because of "Rounding errors") - is NOT a problem! Just select 1 keyframe, type command + A to select all the keyframes, and then right-click on a keyframe and select constant on the menu drop down. This will create a step-by-step through each value and you give the * discreet * timing you have need for the text to appear at the right time.  Remove the audio track and save the project as a generator of FCPX... it is faster and easier to export a track video overlay.

You need movement 5.1.x or better (there are serious problems with 5.0 versions and file generator.)

I know it doesn't look like it, but this method of captioning is much easier than ANY other software of captioning I've tried in the past... NO timecode or the special formatting is required... other recommended spacing to double.

  • How can I have the file name as visible caption on the photo

I have several hundred digital images that I have edited and saved with a meaningful file name.  I would like to produce a slide show and then burn to DVD with the name of the file as a legend, preferably (but not necessarily) without the file name extension (for example, my photo.jpg would show as 'my picture').

N ° to check that what I say is correct, create a new folder
for the purposes of the trial and to make a copy of some files. To ensure that
one of them has a long name (rename if necessary), and then try to copy

  • Cannot right click Windows 7 Explorer of files to generate the copy of the file names in a Notepad or Excel-compatible file. HELP REQUESTED!

I struggled for several hours to restore the service right click that I used to have XP to Windows 7.  I need to save lists of file names such as displayed in the file Explorer. Allowing you to right-click and save files in Notepad. This option has been removed in Windows 7 and anything put in place to restore it.

I have lists of items in the inventory and need to copy and paste the image corresponding to a transfer sheet to allow the server names to match images in article SKU.  The file names are long and typing is a complete waste of time.

I used to be able to find them in the Windows Explorer, right-click on the directory and generate a txt file that I could open in Notepad or Excel.  -Easy.  Now right-click only allows an export in an uneditable image in ONE NOTE. This is useless for me. I can't do anything with an image file - I need the editable data.

Is there a solution?  I need only the file name and extension, not the full path, in a text or spreadsheet document propagation.

I had used the Microsoft solution to install their dose without knowing the final format was a NOTE image file format and not a simple txt file. I try now too write the batch file:

    %windir%\Printdir.bat

or edit it in order to keep the file in Notepad and do not make the final conversion into a single Note.

The problem is that the fix from Microsoft, designed to fix this problem, has placed the conversion file in the root directory and it cannot be overwritten.  I refused the possibility to delete, edit or write the file due to the requirements of administrative privilege mandated by the security of Windows 7 too much.

So if anyone has a solution to every problem - that would help - I am very tired and frustrated and not happy with Microsoft.  Their zealous concern with security made their unnecessary programs for me and have further discouraged me to convert to the windows 10. frustrations and nightmares are waiting for me there I can't imagine.  What I really want to do at this point is to go back to XP.

He ate five hours of my day. I don't have the time to fight like that. I am trying to be productive, but all I got are monumental technical walls and roadblocks - often designed into the system. Frustrating doesn't begin to describe it.

Found a solution on a Web site:

    http://www.watchingthenet.com/how-to-print-a-directory-tree-from-Windows-Explorer.html

They said it was for VISTA, but worked for me under Windows 7. You will need to use Notepad to the command prompt and select run as administrator to save the file in the root directory.

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheers.
