Link to the previous page button
I have a lot of pages in an application that has a link column to a common page. On the current page, I want to have a back button which will return to the previous page (same functionality as the previous button in the browser). I can't figure out how to configure the back button "Action when the button clicked" section for this. I created a page element to maintain the previous value of the page, but I can't figure out how to get that in the section "Action when the button is clicked. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, Brad. Exactly what I was looking for. I was close... but the trailing "." that's what I was missing.

How to create a link to the previous page?
Not a specific, but the last to be visited. THX
Select your Go Back to text or graphics... then in the type of hyperlinks tool
javascript:history.back()
There are also other ways, but it's easier with Muse.

Normally, the previous page button moves a screen and the page down key moves one screen down. I hit a combination of keys by mistake and now the page up key load previous page while the next page button loads a page, I'll be back, mimicking the previous buttons and following. I can still use the SPACEBAR to go down one screen and the arrow keys, end and home work normally. The page of buttons function normally outside Firefox. What I've done and how to cancel it?
Have you tried to close and restart Firefox or restart the computer?

After update to go to the previous page
I have a database update link on several pages.
How to redirect to the previous page after update?
Hi all!
Thank you for your kind reply. Because javascript isn't the best solution, I found a solution using the session variable. This method works simply to redirect the page or an echo to the link on the previous page.
(1) Include on each page with insert or update link (redirect page)
(2) in insert or update page by default Dreamweaver insert or update of the server behavior, set the $insertGoTo value to $_SESSION ['tout_nom'], for example, in this case $insertGoTo = $_SESSION ["tout_nom"];
(3) in addition, to add go to the link to the previous page, ">[back to the previous page].
See you soon!

On a list as Craiglists which has 100s of lists on a page, you click on the link to access the item description page, after the ad, I then click on the back button & instead of back to where I was on the previous page, I went back to the top of the page. It's a lot of time, because I then locate the list I was before so I can continue my review of the list of others.
Maybe it's a problem of compatibility add-on or extension.
I had the same problem and I seem to have solved by uninstalling APTURE HIGHLIGHTS 1.6. following the standard diagnostic test not more white flashes and now my scroll position is known.
It also cleared up a bad freeze/hang up, I had after waking from sleep/hibernate. -
YouTube I have to press the button "back" twice to return to the previous page
Hello!
FF constantly and across operating systems (I use many for most Linux distributions) fails to simply go back to the previous page when I press the button 'back' of the browser. He did it for months. Completely reset FF does not work, or not to empty the cache then restarting it manually.
It is a very irritating problem, especially since I prefer FF so strongly on another browser and do not want to hit back twice whenever I want to go to a play list/etc. To clarify, it reloads the page/video, I am currently on, then finally doing what I want to after 2 clicks the 'back' button For someone who needs YouTube to work, as well as for reasons a many great tutorials that needs resolution as soon as POSSIBLE.
Thanks in advance for any help! In my opinion, I've isolated probably the question enough that it is very likely to be a problem with my OS or malicious software.
What is the most likely culprit here?
I should also mention that this is happening not only across operating systems, but also on a laptop Lenovo G770 and an AMD FX - 8350 16 GB RAM PC desktop I built very recently.
If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

On Windows7 Home Premium Edition, I can't get a new tab to open no matter what I try. Occasionally, if I click on a link on the current page, a second tab opens, but 99% of the time I'm stuck using the first tab for everything and using the back button. I tried ctrl/T, tab file/new, right mouse click / New tab and the new button tab in the tab to the right of the current tab bar.
Uninstall the Ask Toolbar. It can cause this problem.

The back button often responds with a drop down menu of the story rather than simply go back to the previous page. There used to be a small arrow for that, why did you do that?
When I left click on the back instead of the browser navigation back button, I go almost every time to get the list of previous browsing history or it will just doing nothing until I click on the new button. The history of combination of button "return" rather than a separate between the historical click of the buttons box is the problem. Combined with my arthritic fingers of aging that is. If I was as fast as I used to be I guess it wouldn't be a problem. I liked the separate history area. This action combination navigation / buttons story scenario is problematic. I'm fairly certain that if I find it quite disturbing to bring to your attention that there are others (old beards) in the same boat I am.
Thanks for listening
DUse one of the following methods to open the tab history list:
- Right-click on the back or next button
- Press and hold the left button of the mouse on the active back or forward button until the list opens
You can watch this extension:
- Backward forward history Dropdown: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforedrop/

There used to be a drop-down list on the back button, and I think that the forward stop button, too, so that I could jump to the previous page without paging a descendant both. Find my story now and clicking on a page are much slower.
Use one of them to open the tab history list:
- Right-click on the back or next button
- Press and hold the left button of the mouse on the active back or forward button until the list opens
You can watch this extension:
- Backward forward history Dropdown: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforedrop/

Previous page button works as the next page button
I have this weird problem where the previous button works as the next button.
- I applied to the previous page as well as the action of going to the fixed Page .
- After the failure of option 1, I used a functional back button on Page 7 and stuck on Page 6. The result was the same. The previous button has always acted as Page 6 next Page button.
All the world is facing this problem? If so, what is the resolution? I'd answer as soon as POSSIBLE, because I'm stuck in my work because of this ridiculous issue project.
I solved the problem by elements of the substitution of all master pages to Page 6 and Page 7.

Go to the next page or go to previous page buttons in Muse
I used to work in iWeb, who had the option "go to the next page" or "go to the previous page. Now I work in Adobe Muse, but this option is not available. This could be an option in Adobe Muse in the near future? It would be very welcome.
They are just normal links. You can create your own resources in library for these things and reuse.

How to navigate to the previous screen (as opposed to the previous page)?
Hello
I looked in the manual online where the back to the previous screen"" button. I can't find that, but I saw that "previous screen" is listed in the list of keyboard shortcuts. The keystrokes for this command are separate from those to go to the previous page. If I navigate to a page via a hyperlink, I want a sequence of button or the button to return to the page containing the link hypertext, not the previous page.
Here are the shortcuts:
Previous screen: PG. Prev or shift + enter
Previous page: arrow left or Ctrl + PG. Prev
So on page 41 in my document, I have a list of hyperlinks to the pages in the section. I click on one of the links and it takes me on page 77. Now, I want to go back to the list of topics, so I tried all four of the keyboard shortcuts, and they all were doing exactly the same thing: they all went to page 76. How can I navigate directly to the list on page 41?
Application: Acrobat DC STD, bought in 2015.
OS: Windows 10
Thank you
Joyce

Anchor to return to the same line on the previous page
Hello
I saw 4 or 5 posts on this subject, but none of them does not seem to work for me.
Here's what I would do:
I use an interactive report that contains an overview of the tasks and the information about these tasks. In the report, there is a column "Edit task" where users can click to change several fields for the task.
When the user clicks on the 'Edit' task - link, another page (of type 'Dynamic Form') is opened where the user can make adjustments and then save them.
When the user clicks 'Save' (or 'Cancel', by the way) on the edit page, I want to redirect them to the previous page with the overview of all the tasks, but I want the page to move in roughly the same place as when the line where users you click on 'Special Edition' is located. So if I change a task that is in the middle of the report, I want to return to the middle of the report when the user has finished its adjustments.
I have seen that it is possible using the anchors, but have not found a position that has worked for me.
I think that there are three elements to make something with to operate:
-The "Edit job" - link in relation to the overview of all tasks
-The button 'Cancel' or 'Save' on the edit page
-The page with the overview of the tasks that he knows which row to access
Our end-users really want this feature, so any help would be appreciated.
I run on APEX 4.2.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Kind regards
NDG
Was the solution after several hours and it is actually not as difficult as it seemed during these hours.
So for those looking for the way to do it, here it is:
Make an anchor point in the query of your report which shows the overview of the tasks (or whatever the report will show to you, I use tasks for example) like this:
