list by program dependencies recursively to a VI (subVIs)

In a large application that I'm developing, I use VI server calls to load the screws in memory. However, I recently met a problem that is causing a bit of a headache. I was able to load and run, using the VI server, a series of screws (which are a bit like plugins). In other words, all but one. This curious VI charges, gets inserted into a secondary façade, but seems that the executing State = bad. According to aid, this means the VI is broken and does not work.

Now, my framework of support ensures that the missing dependencies are requested when a VI using calls to the server, IE if a dependency cannot be found through dialogue through familiar loading appears, indeed in the course of development I've seen this happen several times. So I know that this last VI is not without other dependencies because it do not ask me to point to one, and I know that the VI should work because it opens and runs fine when running in the development environment.

So what I think I do, it's programmatically determine which VI (subVIs) dependencies are at fault. I've not done this before so I don't know where to start, I guess that the script will be necessary, but:

Is there an easy way to enumerate dependencies recursively to a VI (subVIs) programmatically?

With such a list, I should be able to examine each for the one (s) that is broken and get to the bottom of this mystery. I hope that there are new codes provided with LabVIEW I can use for this.

Any help most appreciated!

The easy way to do this is use the VI get the dependencies of VI.  It has an option to return the entire tree, so you don't have recursion by iterating through the entire thing.  However, this method is relatively new.  It replaces the former called property, which must be used recursively.

The update a few months ago... Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 (KB2804577), continues to appear in my list of installed updates. But according to updates from Microsoft, it is downloaded and ready to be installed. He also appeared in my sandbox with automatic updates as ready to be installed. He also continues to appear when I shut down my computer. Any number of times when I tried to leave my computer to install this update when I close down, by means of Microsoft Updates and automatic update. It will simply not go away! Since it puts in my list of programs updated, is it updated? If so, why he continues to show needing to be installed? I run Windows XP. IE8.

Sorry, it took so long to answer. To answer your questions, no he didn't is not updated and that's why he continues to show. This is a common problem with updates of the .NET Framework.

    Follow these steps:

Download it manually here. Click on download and choose NDP20SP2-KB2804577 - x 86 .exe. Install it and then visit Windows Update and check if it shows as a high priority. If it isn't there, you should no longer be disturbed by it.

If it's still there, follow these steps:

Uninstall .NET Framework 2.0 from Add / Remove programs.
Then download the .NET Framework cleanup tool , unzip it, run it, and in the drop-down list box, select 2.0 and clean.
    Reinstall .NET Framework 2.0
Visit Windows Update or Microsoft Update and let it install the rest of the 2.0 updates, including KB2804577.

Check if they install and report.

As the forums MS Answers does not prompt for any information system when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.

Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

Click Start, run and enter the following command:

    regsvr32 appwiz.cpl

Click OK and you should see a message like this:

    DllRegisterServer in successful appwiz.cpl

Restart and see how things look now.

    Hi Joseph,.

    ·         What is the antivirus installed on the computer program?

Check to see if the following is useful.

Method 1: You can run the Microsoft Safety Scanner to check the infection by the virus. Check out the following link to do so.

It is not recommended to use any cleaners/tune Up all registry program on modern operating systems.

And they can do more harm to your any good operating system that they claim to be able to do.

  • Uninstalled program is still listed under "programs and features".

Original title: a program is listed in programs and features. It was uninstalled and deleted directories. Yet, it still shows in the list programs and features. How can I remove it?

I had installed this program before. I thought I had uninstalled. I tried to re-install this program, but cannot. I checked the list of programs, and it is still in the list, after being uninstalled. How do I remove it from the list?

    Hi n4ctf,

Take a look at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314481

Edit the registry to remove an entry. This link refers to Windows XP but I checked with Windows 7 and it works so it should work with Vista.

Once you have access to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall you will see a list of numbers. You will need to go through each of these numbered editions to find the program you want to remove. Click on a number in the left column, for example {08D605B4-DCD1-451F-ABD7-52E6BB868E4E} and you will see then the details is in the right column of the registry editor. See the 'full name' so check to see what the numbers program refers to.

Normally, I would recommend that you try to reinstall the application rather that tinkering with the registry, but as you have already tried unsuccessfully to re - install, change the registry could be the last option. By the way, before making any changes in the registry, make sure that you back up the registry first. This link of my website will show you how to back up the registry:http://vistasupport.mvps.org/backup_the_registry.htm

  • No list of programs and launch the search does not work.

Last year a virus creeped into my system. After I couldnot find and delete I ran combofix that seems to help eliminate the virus. However, I have a lot of files and corrupted files in my system that I don't recognize. also, my search for the Start button does not work after this difficulty and "all programs" list has disappeared. I recently found that I have to do a system restore but my dates do not go too far before the virus. What should I do? I have a 32-bit windows vista system.

    Thank you.

The best way to get rid of the shinannigans on your computer is to reload windows itself with the multimedia installation/installation partition if you have one. If this is not the case, I suggest to download and run Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx this is a free anti-virus MS. Try creating a new account on your computer and connection in there to see if your search bar and list of program starts working again:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account?SignedIn=1

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-a-users-account-type

For these two make sure you click on my computer is on a workgroup for instructions and follow the steps in BOTH of the links

If they then delete your old account and just use the new using Microsoft Security Essentials.

    I hope this helps!

  • Why Windows Media Player is not displayed in my list of programs and features?

When I go into the Panel and then programs and features, Windows Media Player is not in the list. If I click on the Start button, then all programs, his list here. When I click on it, it opens, but it is not any music listed to see if it works. My question is, why it is not listed in the programs and features in Control Panel? Must indicate all items that are installed on my computer, at least I thought. If someone has an idea, I would appreciate a response. Thank you for your time and your help.

All the built-in programs that are part of the Vista operating system will NOT be displayed in programs and features. To simplify the reason, Windows Media Player 11 is part of the operating system and cannot be uninstalled. So there is not need to be listed in programs and features, whose main goal is to uninstall or repair any installed programs. Another example is Windows Defender.

    For your information:

In Windows 7, Windows Media Player 12 is also part of the operating system and it cannot be uninstalled and it will not reveal in programs and features either.
