Tacksam for help

Is there someone who could help me regarding the list of keywords in Lightroom 6. I have a right-click on one set of photos (Nature) I have been in the list of key words in all and other and for some reason

I clicked on Convert Keywords to Person Keyword. The catalog Nature with all the pictures in that set (some thousands) are now available in All, Others and People, but I don’t want it in People. I have tried to delete it in People but then it disappears completely. Does anyone know how I can remove the set under People without losing it.

Great, because unfortunately there is no way to reverse this conversion to keywords people - other than editing each one individually, or by using undo (if you haven't left Lightroom since their conversion). So I recommend restore you the backup catalog.

  • How to manage the hierarchy in the list of key words

I have a few keywords that are nested two levels down, but when I click on and drag on the key word to move it to the top one or two levels in the hierarchy, it does not move. He's here. Of course, I know how to put a key word in a lower hierarchy but now I need to move some of them to a higher level, as you can do it in the Navigation pane on the left. Is there a place outside (LR) where I can go and manage the hierarchy?

    Suppose you have two keywords, A > B > X and has > X and you want to merge all the A > B > X pics has > X and delete > B > X.  To do this:

    1. in the keyword list Panel, hover over A > B > X and click the arrow that appears to the right of the keywodr.  This will exactly show photos that have A > B > X.

2 Select all these photos by Edit > select all.

    3. in the Keywording Panel, in "Click here to add keywords", type "has > X»  Now all the photos that had a > B > X will also have A > X.

    4. in the keyword list Panel, right-click A > B > X and select Remove.

  • Why can I not move certain key words in my keyword list

For some reason, certain key words in my list of keywords can be moved into folders or reorganized, but most of them can be. Search for a solution came voids. Anyone?

Ha ha! I thought about it. I had unused keywords with the same name in the destination, I was trying to move too. I just deleted those unused and was able to move those that I used, no problem!

  • The list of ' words: config ' commands

"' I want to be able to really fine tune/customize firefox, but now many of the changes I want to make are no longer available through" subject: config. An example of such a change - how to force the new tabs to open empty - took a bit of research and know what that question to ask or how to phrase it. Is there a list of all the "about: config" commands, and if so, where I find/get them? It's just a printable list (acceptable, but just...), a searchable database based (better, but probably still have to knowledge/sentence question), or better yet, a searchable database of key word with the previous two options? Also, is this putative version specific list, or is constantly updated with a mixture of old and new commands? I realize the risk of damage to the installation of firefox and am willing to consider, because I think that I am reasonably cautious and would check any really dodgy changes after implementation.

You can also read the comments in the source code of Firefox to default preferences.

    • Resource:///defaults/Preferences/Firefox.js
    • Resource://GRE/greprefs.js

Note that he has also hidden prefs that not exist by default and have an action/hard coded default.

Such a pref must be created if you want to use.

  • Key word problem

    Hello

I've been using PSE for many years and decided to move to LR but I was faced with key words and I think I'm missing something. I hope someone can point me in the right direction - as I came of the PSE, the terminology may be a little different.

    (1) display the keywords for a picture - PSE, the property group can list all the tags associated with a picture. The only way I can see the keywords to a photo in LR is to go to the list of keywords, develop all levels of void and get check marks. Is there a simpler or easier way?

    (2) displaying a photo for a keyword - I have a keyword that has a number 1 against it. If I try to filter by this keyword (by clicking on the right arrow beside the County), nothing is displayed. I tried to make a collection with just the specified keyword and it contains a single photo, but even once, nothing is displayed. I suspect that it might be something to do with the back sets of PSE version but I tried everything what unstacking and still can't find the picture.

    Any help appreciated.

    Brian,

    (1) Yes... much easier:

If the Keywording Panel does not show, right-click on another heading on the side right and make sure that the appropriate item is enabled.

I can't answer your question number 2, sorry.

  • Filter by keyword all over, doesn't not part of key words

    Hello

I wonder if there is a way to filter by keywords together, rather than just a part of them. For example, say I have two key words 'young adult' and 'adult '. Is it possible to find all images with the 'adult' keyword without having all photos with 'young adult' as well?

    Thank you
    Nick

It is an embarrassing flaw in LR - it is not easy to filter by exact keyword.  A few options:

-In smart Collections, you can use the two rules "Contains adult keywords" and "keywords contains not young."

-In the pane from the list of keywords in the right column, you can move the mouse over the 'adult' keyword and click the arrow that appears on the very good.

-In the library filter bar, you can add the keyword column and then select the keyword 'adult '.

-If you find these not too clumsy, you can use the command filter by keyword of the Tag any plugin to quickly filter by one or more accurate keywords.

  • Consolidation of key word

Can anyone offer any help, suggestions, uh... plugins?

Over the past years, I have built myself a vast hierarchy of keywords in Lightroom - thousands of keywords in there - works fine for me.  LR3 being able to manage larger catalogs, that I recently imported my images pre-lightroom.  Import has functioned well, the only problem is that these images have been keyworded before having a hierarchy of keywords.  This means that all the keywords have appeared at the top level of the hierarchy.  I now have thousands of keywords in double in my catalog.  And for reasons I won't bore you with more keywords into triple hundreds, that needed to be Consolidated.  In fact there may duplicates at the highest level I have the list is longer that lightroom can display in the Panel.

Because "duplicates" are at the top level to find duplicates is easy.  Here are the steps I take to consolidate key words...

    1. look at the word of duplicate in the top level key.

    2. click on the arrow to display the images assigned to the duplicate key

3 enter your keyword in the box "filter keywords.

    4. search for the main keyword in the list of keywords filtered (this does provide the duplicate key word is not a synonym as there is a current bug that prevents synonyms for filtered this way - that bug really isn't helping!).

    5. drag the images in the grid on the master keyword.

6 remove the keyword in double superior level

As an estimate, I have at least 3000 duplicates/reanalysis I need a group.  Provide I don't click wrong or badly typed the process above takes about 70secs by consolodation.  By my estimation, who would click and type to complete the consolodation of 60 hours.

Can someone suggest ways to accelerate?  I watched consolidator keyword Rob Coles, but who tells me just what needs consolodating and doesn't actually do the work.  (In my case, I already know what keywords must consolodating - manually, it does the job that is the problem.)

    Thank you

    Ian

So, I finished KeywordConsolidator to Ian, and he uses now to consolidate its keywords...

You can also use it if you want...

  • Loss of key words to export (LR2 and LR3)

I have a problem I had since LR2 and have discovered that it continues in LR3.  I hope that the geniuses here can help...

I have an export preset user who creates a size max JPG and includes it in the catalog.  _Almost_ works perfectly, but there is always a key word or two lost in the translation.

A specific example, I have a DNG with the following key words:

"citrus", "Board", "fresh fruits", melon, food, fresh, fruit, half, knife, melon, organic, snack, white wood,

When I export to jpg, adding to the catalog, the list of keywords is:

"citrus", "Board", "fresh fruits", melon, food, fresh, fruit, half, knife, organic snack, melon, white

The last keyword is truncated and does not.  This is not 100%, but is the most common occurrence.  Sometimes another keyword will be also absent, but the last is the most common to lose.

No problem get subject key words on the new file?

"citrus", "Board", "fresh fruits", melon, food, fresh, fruit, half, knife, melon, organic, snack, white wood,

Are there any hierarchical keywords among them?

Try checking write keywords as Lightroom hierarchy in export.

  • export using key words in the name?

Is there a a way to export photos using just a part of the name of keyword?

I recently took a series of shots at a football tournament and I'd like to export the shots using the names of children, so parents can easily find their child.

I organized the photos with the following key words:

    Columbus Day

    -GU9

    -Anna

    -Mia

    -Lauren

    etc.

I only want to export with the last keyword, (Anna-1, Anna-2...), although I could live with something like 'anna-GU9-Columbus-Day. "

In this way, I can select the entire series and export and download once.

This time, I select a set, export, select the next series, export, etc.

    Is it possible to do?

    Thank you.

In the export under "File naming" dialog you can choose the custom name + sequence as a preset in the drop down "Templates".

For the keyword option go into "Edit" at the bottom of the drop-down list model to build your own naming scheme, choose 'File Name' under 'Image Name' and 'Keywords' under "Metadata". Save a custom preset.

Again, this one uses all KW, so you can't isolate just the name of the person. If you don't mind given the other keywords in the name of the file, it could work well for what you were after.

In this scenario, you would be able to export a folder with a mixture of names in one shot and have the name of each person, incorporated in the filename automatically.

If you have captions and they are relatively short and descriptive enough you can also simply use the caption instead. Is a quick way to do

    1 assign your kw

    2. Select all relevant photos and type a caption (short) - John play soccer at x place 10.20.09 - or even just the name you were after in your original post.

    3. Select your groups of photos using keywords

    4. select everything in each case and replace the word John Joe, Susie, Bob, etc.

It would take very little time - five minutes to make 10 different legends for 500 photos, for example. You can then export using the legend under the name of file and exactly what you want.

  • Is there a way to add a whole list of words both persdict.dat?

I added a whole list of words (several hundred) to persdict.dat each word on a line separate then saved the file and everything looked OK. However, none of these words are recognized as OK by Firefox's spell check. Obviously, this is not the way to do. It seems that one must use the "Add to Dictionary" thingie for EACH WORD, WORD BY WORD for it to be recognized by Firefox spell checking. There must be a better way.

I solved the problem a few days ago. The mistake I made was that I forgot to close Firefox before making changes to the persdict.dat. Once I did that, everything worked as I expected to work after the raise Firefox again. I guess that's the equivalent of what you suggested. Thanks for your reply.

  • Is it possible to remove the "key words" awesome bar, search

Is there a way to delete / keywords not registered

For example, there are many songs of guilty pleasure I'll be embraced if someone will see.

    example: Kylie Minogue

Is it possible to take off and never save any page associated with this keyword 'kylie Minogue '.

Since this 1, 2, 3 (can see images)

Same thing for 3 is there a way not to save keywords or save anything in boxes like this

What about adult stuff (thank God for navigation of PRIVET) <-just be honest here.

When you say keyword, are you referring to them, the keywords associated with a search engine? Research Management > double click on the key word column

You may also delete the history entries if you put history to remember everything. However, in the location in the Options toolbar settings > privacy > you can change what is research: 'Nothing' or the history and bookmarks.

  • Help using Léonie / old Toad move the text of "Key words" in "securities".

Need help to use leonie / old Toad move the text of "Key words" in "securities".

I have about 30 000 images with keywords but NO Title.  I want to move / copy the text in the keywords section in the section of the title.

So, I tried this Script: Add keywords to title - Script of Léonie field

He did a little work, but not completely.

When I select an image in Photos, and then "Get Info" I'll see below in the title area, notice that the first two lines are the same.

    I need is:

17 to 600 hours experimental engine

I do not understand why the Photos shows the name of the file twice.   These fields are not labelled, but I was under the impression that the top line was the Description, the second line is the name of the file, and the third line is the Date.   Because only the first line is displayed under thumbnails, I try to have as much descriptive information appear in this area (as in the past, we could do with iPhoto or Aperture).

In other words, when I run the script I hold my keywords to replace everything in the top line completely, eliminating the name of the file. Is there something wrong with this approach?  I would still have the name of the file to the second line, right?

    Thank you.

Remove the file name of the title field, and then run the script. You will have the chance

-17 to 600 hours experimental engine

You can manually delete the "-" at the beginning or modify the script.
