export using key words in the name?

Is there a a way to export photos using just a part of the name of keyword?

I recently took a series of shots at a football tournament and I'd like to export the shots using the names of children, so parents can easily find their child.

I organized the photos with the following key words:

Columbus Day

-GU9

-Anna

-Mia

-Lauren

etc.

I only want to export with the last keyword, (Anna-1, Anna-2...), although I could live with something like 'anna-GU9-Columbus-Day. "

In this way, I can select the entire series and export and download once.

This time, I select a set, export, select the next series, export, etc.

Is it possible to do?

Thank you.

In the export under "File naming" dialog you can choose the custom name + sequence as a preset in the drop down "Templates".

For the keyword option go into "Edit" at the bottom of the drop-down list model to build your own naming scheme, choose 'File Name' under 'Image Name' and 'Keywords' under "Metadata". Save a custom preset.

Again, this one uses all KW, so you can't isolate just the name of the person. If you don't mind given the other keywords in the name of the file, it could work well for what you were after.

In this scenario, you would be able to export a folder with a mixture of names in one shot and have the name of each person, incorporated in the filename automatically.

If you have captions and they are relatively short and descriptive enough you can also simply use the caption instead. Is a quick way to do

1 assign your kw

2. Select all relevant photos and type a caption (short) - John play soccer at x place 10.20.09 - or even just the name you were after in your original post.

3. Select your groups of photos using keywords

4. select everything in each case and replace the word John Joe, Susie, Bob, etc.

It would take very little time - five minutes to make 10 different legends for 500 photos, for example. You can then export using the legend under the name of file and exactly what you want.

  • run as administrator does not work after you use netplwiz to change the name of the account

    Hi all

    I used netplwiz configure Auto loging in one of the accounts. While I was doing this, I changed the name of the account.
    This action was simple and easily accessible.
    However, after record change and restarting the PC, I can't use the RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR option more.
    This means that I can't install or update any program now. I also can't run netplwiz or any other installation program more so I'm not able to reverse the name change.
    The result is always the same and I can not yet take a screenshot so I took a picture: http://postimg.org/image/71lzyigwr/
    Another problem - I have only a wireless keyboard so I can't use safe mode.
    Is it possible to fix this?

    Here you:

    1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
    2. select Repair from the menu.
    3. Select an administrator account, and then enter its password.
    4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    5. set Windows to a point before you changed things.
    6. Once completed, plan in advance and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key. Running Windows with a single administrator account takes a lot of unnecessary risks.
  • Export PDFs single page with the name of the page

    I was looking for a script that:

    -exports all the pages of an indesign file to PDF separate single page (or other file types)

    -names, the pdf file with the name of a page-> This is the hardest to find part

    The reason why I could use it: I have a file of 200 + page with productspecs. I would like to export all pages with the software "productName" correct. (extraction of a PDF file in acrobat is not a problem, but then I have to rename all the files manually)

    I do not know how to name pages, because it is not a function in indesign. Ideal would be to be able to 'say' indesign: this textframe = the name of the page, then it would be not necessary to label the page separately.

    I'm not a writer. I searched the forum and found some info on this already, but not a working including automatic pagenaming script.

    I found an old post where someone points to such a script, but I'm not:

  • How to determine task key based on the name of the task?

    Hi all, I'm trying to implement addProcessTaskInstance and I can't get the key to the task dynamically. I want to find this based on the name of the task, since it will be consistent across environments, but because multiple streams of development going on at the same time I can't be guaranteed that the key task will be the same in each environment (I can be guaranteed that it will actually be). I got code rather not hard key in a variable in each environment if I can avoid it.

    Thank you

    Ryan

    You can use this query:

    Select mil.mil_key millet, pkg, tos, obj
    where mil.mil_name = 'add user '.
    and obj.obj_name = 'Xellerate user'
    and obj.obj_key = pkg.obj_key and tos.pkg_key = pkg.pkg_key and mil.tos_key = tos.tos_key

    Update the mil_name and obj_name for your object name and the resource for the task.

  • Use scripts to change the name of the tab

    Hi all

    I'm trying to use scripts to add tabs to a tab control in an existing VI.  I am able to add new tabs easily enough, but I can't understand how to change the name of each tab when they are added.  Each name is extracted a TDMS file using a loop for.

    I looked through the existing discussion forums, and there are a few old messages that indicate I should look for the 'independent Label property', and that I should put it to allow me to change the caption of the tab.  There is always an explanation of this property in the help files, but I am unable to find my path to it in the current schema.

    Assuming that this property still exists in my version (2012), could someone tell me the correct sequence of references and property nodes to access this property?  Right now I use the class "TabControl".  If this property is obsolete, can someone let me know if there is a new method to achieve this?  Thank you.

    GSinMN

    After you have added the page, download the Pages property of the index of the newly added page, tab control, use the PageLabel of this page for the label.  It would be cool if the Add Page method returns the reference to the new page.

  • Is it possible, using ExtendScript, to retrieve the name of a model used in first

    I have an AE Comp used in first instance.  I'm looking for a way to quickly manage the names of the AE model and this model used in the first instance.  The goal is to maintain naming conventions as efficiently and accurately as possible.  I was wondering if there is a way, using ExtendScript (a command in a custom panel) to retrieve the name AE Comp of her in first instance.

    Any projectItem with a path ending with .aep is a likely candidate.

    Our next version provides iteration better the elements in a sequence; You can reach the projectItem of any clip, that should give you what you need.

    1. Yes and no. DNS resolve just as the SCAN name to IP address. Then you can certainly use the IP address directly. There are only 3 of your choice. You will only be able to use one of them in this case. But for the rest of the answer to this question, read my response to #3 then (that I took in the mess of the way in which it was requested)

    3. well, you won't get alternating in the headphones of SCAN 3. You will only get one of the listeners SCAN. Best hope that they are running. Otherwise, there will be no possibility to connect. That being said, the round robin DNS entries are not running 'load balancing '. LOAD_BALANCE = YES option in your tnsnames.ora will try to balance the connections in all of the instances available for the SERVICE_NAME. This will always be true although you always only hit a listener to SCAN.

    2. he can't solve another listener SCAN. He can only resolve one. This is why we do not normally use IP addresses directly.

  • Photoshop CS6 using javaScript to truncate the name of the alpha channel

    Hello

    I am a production artist and I work with PSD files created in Adobe Scene7's Image Authoring Tool. These PSD files contain a background as well as the alpha 1-20 layers layer. My script should make a new empty layer for each alpha channel in the document. He then fills the new grey layer. So far, my code accomplishes this mission. However, I would like to apply the alpha channel of the layer name, but I need the name will be truncated. Each alpha channel begins with one or more characters, followed by a bar backslash and then ends with one or more characters. Here is an example:

    An alpha channel can be named: Floor\floor

    In this example, I need my name of layer to be fair: floor. This means that all characters to the left of the backslash, including the backslash itself needs to be scrapped. I used the subSring() for this statement. When I try to step through the code line by line in ExtendScript, I immediately get an error that says no complete string constant and line 31 of my code is highlighted. I think that he doesn't like the way I wrote the backslash character, although I have it surrounded by double quotes to define it as a string.

    Can someone tell me why I get this error?

    Here is my code with a lot of comments to guide you through the process. I wrote where the error occurs in red characters.

    I'm new to JavaScript, so I'm not sure that my while loop is accurate.

    #target photoshop

    #target photoshop makes the script execution in PS.

    declare the variable to contain the active document

    var myDoc = app.activeDocument;

    declare the variable to hold the number of alpha channels, excluding the RGB layers

    create a loop to make new layers depends on the number of channels alpha, fill layer with gray and apply the name of alpha channel to the new layer

    Color.RGB.Red = 161;

    Color.RGB.Green = 161;

    Color.RGB.Blue = 161;

    myDoc.selection.fill (color);

    variable stores the name of the alpha channel

    var alphaName = myDoc.channels [3 + a];

    variable stores the length of the name of alpha channel

    var lz = alphaName.length;

    declare the index variable to initialize the character position 1 the name of alpha channel

    var x = 0;

    truncate the name of the alpha channel by removing all characters preceding the symbol "\".

    While (alphaName.subString (x)! = ' \ ') { (ExtendScript gives an error for this line and highlights the backslash and surrounding quotes) }

    alphaName = alphaName.subString ((x+1), z);

    x += 1;

    z = 1;

    Return alphaName;

    }

    remove the backslash in name of alpha channel

    alphaName = alphaName.subString ((x+1), z);

    apply name truncated to the corresponding layer alpha channel

    I hope that the following script solves your problem. It compares all strings in all groups with a string.

    Dim oGroups, oOneGroup, oChannels, oOneChannel, sChnName, sSearchText
    sSearchText = "treffensiemich".
    Set oGroups = Data.Root.ChannelGroups
    For each oOneGroup in oGroups
    Set oChannels = oOneGroup.Channels
    For each oOneChannel in oChannels
    sChnName = oOneChannel.Properties ("name"). Value
    If InStr (1, sChnName, sSearchText, vbTextCompare in) > 0 Then
    ' Do something
    Call Msgbox (sChnName)

    Hi, John D. He is John D.

    You can manually "rearrange the Perfect file" as you describe to achieve the desired order. Some notes of clarification are added below:

    1. I doubt if your Perfect file is corrupt (although all things are possible.) The Perfect file is an xml text file and easily modified with Notepad.
    2. Of course, you want to back up your original first before editing.
    3. You cannot delete the Index in the designer and recreate it on the fly as simply as the use of the automatic table of contents that uses the folder structure. The only way to create an "Automatic Index", is to use the smart Index Wizard. But most of the people who can't find useful because it takes more time to use it properly. It is best to create it from scratch. In addition, this would not solve your question alphabetical.
    4. I stuck a test below where I added an alpha character in each topic title directly in the XML, as shown. (In other words, I do not add the alpha character to the real title tag in the subject.) It works as advertised WebHelp output.
    5. Interestingly, it does not in the MS HTML Help .chm version. It's because Microsoft uses the title of the topic to form the text of the displayed entry.
    6. It's not a bug, because a large number of process is governed by Perfect original format of Microsoft. But it would be an interesting feature request (signature of Rick above)

    Here's what the output of WebHelp appears for the two Index entries:
