Listener Question 11G

Hello
I have a question about the oracle listeners in a gird infrastructure.

All headphones belongs to the SCAN and DB home network?
Or the listener of classical oracle in a grid environment database belong to the installation of the database. $ORACLE_HOME

Thank you * T

Hello

the listener ANALYSIS belongs to GI home. No other option, also the default listener must be run from GI House (otherwise you will have trouble connecting with ASM).

It is advisable to stay with these listeners and record all the databases/services with them. It is (should be?) without having to create additional listeners.
If you need more listener, it is advisable to create also in GI. Then advised is to stay with IG.

But so much for best practices... I saw Oracle user create additional listeners in the houses of the DB, and this will definitely work and isn't possible. However not best practice ;)

Hi Experts,

I use OAM 11g 11.1.1.5.3 (BP03) Version. When I try to import the OAM Custom Plugins using the administration Console, the Console becomes hangged. I'm not able to open anything after that. Help me to overcome this problem. For this reason, I am not able to download the custom Plugins. Here are the Logs from Weblogic Exception.

• characterset apex listener questions

Hello forum help,

I have a problem with the character set when you use the earpiece of the apex and the database oracle under windows.

My environment in the registry (HKLM/SOFTWARE/ORACLE/HOME) is NLS_LANG = GERMAN_GERMANY. WE8MSWIN1252

My value in the database is:
SQL > select aufgabe dhw.auftraege where auftragsnummer = 23;

AUFGABE
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Turendrucker

My desription of connector in tomcat's server.xml file is
< connector port = "8080" protocol = "HTTP/1.1".
connectionTimeout = "20000".
maxHttpHeaderSize = '32767 '.
URIEncoding = "UTF-8" / >

Is my description of filter in the Web.XML of my apex installation (as described in another thread)
< filter >
Coding of characters defined < filter-name > < / filter-name >
< class filter > filters. SetCharacterEncodingFilter < / class filter >
< init-param >
< param name - > encoding < / param-name >
UTF8 < param-value > < / param-value >
< / init-param >
< / filter >
< filter mapping >
Coding of characters defined < filter-name > < / filter-name >
< url-pattern > / * < / url-pattern >
< / filter-mapping >

But the result on the Web page is:
T_rendr_cker (underscores value is initially a small square)

How can I solve this problem?
What character parameters will be valid to show the same data on the html page, as recorded in the database?

Thanks for the reply!

• Problem of Listener question.

Hi all

I have two databases but both using a single listener, Oracle_Home is different for the two DB. I want to create a listener for each DB. So, if I want to stop the process of listening to a DB, which will not affect the other DB connection.

Here's my original first DB files.

TNSNAME.ora-

WOT_BNE =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOT_BNE)
)
)

WOT_GS =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = syd2ora2) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOT_GS)
)
)

WOT_GS2 =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = syd2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOT_GS2)
)
)

DW_BNE =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = DW_BNE)
)
)

-listener.ora
LISTENER =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
)
)

SID_LIST_LISTENER =
(SID_LIST =
(SID_DESC =
(GLOBAL_DBNAME = WOTIF_DW)
(SID_NAME = WOTIF_DW)
(ORACLE_HOME = u07/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1)
)
)

SUBSCRIBE_FOR_NODE_DOWN_EVENT_LISTENER = OFF
INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_LISTENER = 120

-A single file here for my other db.

-tnsname.ora

WOTIF =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOTIF)
)
)

WOTIF_DW =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOTIF_DW)
)
)

There is no listener for this DB file because listener listener the first DB file entry.

-Now what I did--

I created separate listner and tnsfile for the two DB but I'm not able to start receiving separated.
I stop and start original listner but who always shows my other DB connection.
and if I want to start my new listener, then said that...

AMT-01106: listener by using the name of the LISTENER listener has already begun

-Here is my new files that I've updated...

-First listener.ora DB
LISTENER =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))

-First DB tnsname.ora

(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOT_BNE)
)
)

WOT_GS =

(CONNECT_DATA =

(SERVICE_NAME = WOT_GS)
)
)

WOT_GS2 =
(DESCRIPTION =

(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOT_GS2)
)
)

DW_BNE =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = DW_BNE)
)
)

# Added to the listener that separates WOTIF_DW and DB WOTIF.

WOTIF =
(DESCRIPTION =

(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOTIF)
)
)

-The second DB listener.ora
LISTENER_DW =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
)
)

SID_LIST_LISTENER_DW =

(SID_NAME = WOTIF_DW)
(ORACLE_HOME = u07/app/oracle/product/11.1.0/db_1)
)
)

SUBSCRIBE_FOR_NODE_DOWN_EVENT_LISTENER = OFF
INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT_LISTENER = 120

-The second DB tnsname.ora

WOTIF_DW =
(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = bne2ora3) (PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA =
(SERVER = DEDICATED)
(SERVICE_NAME = WOTIF_DW)
)

)

I'm on a Linux machine
and my first DB's

Connected to:
Oracle Database 11 g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64 bit Production
With partitioning, OLAP, Data Mining and Real Application Testing options

Is the second DB

Connected to:
Oracle Database 11 g Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64 bit Production

Please guide me where I am doing wrong.

Thank you

PK says:

I want to create a listener for each DB.

Why? What problem are you trying to solve? A single listener for multiple instances of database is the norm - not the exception.

You realize that a listener of 2 will not be able to use the same port tcp as a listener of 1st? A tcp port cannot be shared as an endpoint listens. This means that your 2nd listener must use port 1522 and 1527 and not of 1521.

This also means updating all the customers there and in ensuring that their TNS connection strings connect the correct for the required database instance tcp port.

It all seems totally unnecessary and create a client-server Oracle more complex and less robust environment by introducing a second listener without obvious reason at all...

3 B2B Server he picks up B2B custom outgoing queue and converts it into native EDI and sends it to the partner using AS2

Issues related to the:
1. my idea is - for each trading partner plans to create two different queues (one is for outgoing and another is incoming), is he influenced the creation of n number of custom queues?
2. If create us a custom queues who is suggestible (custom JMS queues or queues custom QA)
3. If any transaction is error, the queues, the transaction will go? And how can we find this transaction in the database.

7. What are the important paintings of B2B in 11 G
8. in the table of B2B_Instancemessage we have ID and B2B messageId, could you please tell us what is the purpose of this?

We sent a trial in. to the trading partner and business partner sent DND what BP, how can we say that this DND is related to the individual PO...

1. you can check the conversation on Oracle B2B GUI report
2 REFER_TO_MESSAGE_ID DND will be identical to MESSAGE_ID of PO (table B2B_BUSINESS_MESSAGE in the SOAINFRA schema)

Leaving and entering error error will move in the same queue or the different queue?

Yes, each error will move into the same queue

Any log file is a Mute . There is no intelligence to do any activity as "reset / regenerated" on the power on/off. So the answer is an absolute No.

The size of my listener.log is 740 MB size. Is it very important?

Depends on! If you have a size sufficient storage and won't mind a file less than 1 GB, it is not. If you are concerned about your use of the disk and do not want to keep logs of the months and months of old data are, it is great and you must cut out keeping just the data for no more than a week.

Under Windows, how to create a listener for the second? It is advisable to have a second listener running in case of failure of the other earpiece?

In general, No . Yet there may be counters as if you want to protect yourself from the failure of the only listener and want to have a failover of the listener , you may want to have a second earpiece. But as already said here in this thread, it is not normally necessary. To create a second listener, just fireup NETCA and create a new one on a different port and it will take care of everything.

• Unable to save 12 ch. single instance 11g GI listener

IM - 11.2.0.3.9

DB_home1 - 11.2.0.3.15

DB_home2 - 12.1.0.2

I recently installed the 12.1.0.2 as a single instance on node 1 of the cluster. When you create the database in step 7 to record the listener, the listener SCAN 11 g has not been shown. I thought no matter, I'll just do the recording manually later.

End of installation and DB creation complete, and I can't save the 12 DB to the listener to 11g. RAC instances have the value of the LOCAL_LISTENER parameter that follows:

LOCAL_LISTENER = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST=node1.pub.com) (port = 1521)))

I tried to adjust the same setting in the 12 c DB, still no change. Restarted the listener, 12 c instance, nothing works. I thought that maybe there was a compatibility issue when using a lower version for the listener, but I can't seem to find a doc in metalink to provide a matrix that verifies this. No message or trace files generated in newspapers for both instances. I don't want to manually change the listener.ora GI unless it's the only way, and I can't find any solid documentation within Oracle to indicate that this would be the only way to solve this problem. Any help would be appreciated.

The GI version must be the same or greater than the version of database

seems that the solution is to use the parameter cascade_parts-the online of FALSE:

begin
dbms_stats.delete_table_stats(
ownname => USER,
tabname => 'T',
partname => NULL,
cascade_parts => FALSE, -- this is important
cascade_columns => TRUE,
cascade_indexes => TRUE,
force => TRUE);
end;

• Quick question - inherited from the servers...

Hello

I have a server Linux ive inherited in my new company.

There are 2 databases Oracle Stand Alone of 11g.

Each DB has its own Oracle Home, own OS user.

I want to install * 11g Grid Control Agent *... but I'm not sure if I should create a new user or use one of the existing oracle users to 100%.

Any help apreciated...

Either way works perfectly.

If you use a new user of the OS, make sure that it belongs to the group 'dba' used by the two bodies.

The only problem I saw with the help of a separate agent user account is an error of TNS-1190 running measures against the listener to 11g.

However, I wonder why you want to install the Grid control agent to monitor only two databases. This is probably less of a hassle to use only the control of the database on each instance unless you already have grid control implemented in this environment.

• Variable listener.ora: SUBSCRIBE_FOR_NODE_DOWN_EVENT_ < nom_recepteur > = OFF

Ths parameter is necessary for 10g?

Or also the listener.ora 11g it need?

Judging from the note 284602.1 and bugs, it should see only 10 g. But you can check emo from the conflicts of the listener, as described here, to be sure. It is my understanding that WHO is a release behind the db version, that it comes with, for what little that's worth.

I noticed that listener.log 11g is already in xml format. How to open as a file formatted?

I can see who is also records any link made by customers.

Does include the boot errors? like for example, you can not start the listener? for troubleshooting of suspicion?

Thank you

Since your listener 11g, LISTENER_11G2 is set in the port of 1923, you all it explicitly every time. By default the lsnrctl controls the default listener that is configured in the port 1521.

You can check if you have any application with the name "em" in the chapter "Mutations" weblogic administration console? In this case then make sure that it is in the State "active". If it is not active then restart the management server and check again.

If you don't see any application "em" it then you might have missed including the module of business management while creating the field. In this case, please refer below include the Manager of the company in your field by extending the thread.
