  My Windows Live Mail has suddenly stopped working.  I get the error message below.  I contacted Time Warner - talked to 3 different technicians, each gave different instructions, of which none has solved the problem.  I contacted Microsoft and they said that they do not support Windows Live Mail.   I am able to access my e-mail through Time Warner Webmail, but I want to get Live Mail works again.  Can anyone help?

  I don't think it's something that 'suddenly' happened. Does not support the server you connect to SPA, so if you have this option, you will be not be been able to connect to this server. You may have changed the setting to try to solve another problem?

  Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties. On the servers tab, select connect with authentication in clear text. Then try send/receive for this account. If you see an error message, please copy and paste into your answer.

  This problem is a huge pain the axle that makes my job completely ineffective due to the loss of time involved in more extreme frustration in trying to meet a deadline where the process of attachment of fixing say 10 files in path to an e-mail would have been done in a few seconds with Outlook Express in Win XP.

  (3) when you click on a specific email in any folder for deletion purposes, the file must be click twice before the removal can be performed. It is not a major problem but has the quality of the nuisance.

  If MS could set the extremely slow WML, so it would be extra good. Maybe the difference is that Outlook Express does everything on the computer and avoid the 'cloud' entiely?

  Assuming you're on Windows Live Mail 2011, your computer is fully updated to Windows Update?

  These problems can be caused by your graphics card. Check by the computer manufacturer, and view Web sites of the manufacturer of the card for display drivers updated which could solve the problems with using Windows Live Mail rendering of material.

  Windows Live Mail has its own support at the Windows Live Solution Centerforums. Please send your questions to one of the forums on the right side of this page. You must give your version of WLMail and Windows so that the answer may be more accurate.

  In WLMail to find your version of the software, a press on ALT - H. If it doesn't show you the version and the build number, press on escape to two times, and then Alt - F B. It would be useful also to know the brand and model of your computer and its display adapter.

• Why not work local address book autocomplete in the latest versions of Thunderbird?

  I noticed that in Thunderbird 38 (currently using 38.0.1) the AutoComplete feature in the from: field no longer works. My preferences in "composition-> address" is located to local address book autocomplete. In the 38 versions this seemed to work perfectly. I could type in part of a name or address and I would receive a box drop-down list of possibilities. However, this no longer works. Is there something I need to do to reactivate this function? I just installed the latest version (38.0.1) in the hope that this should be corrected, but it wasn't. Is there something I can do?

  My apologies if I missed, but it is a step take almost.
  Restart Thunderbird with disabled modules (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click "restart with disabled modules. If Thunderbird works as usual, there is an add-on or theme interfere with normal operations. You will need to reactivate the modules one at a time until you locate the offender.

  • Open a new message window.
  • Click on the button to.
  • Select all addresses and add them to the field to.
  • Close the message without sending it to save in drafts.
  • Click on the header of message once to highlight.
  • CTRL + F3 will reveal the source of the message, including all of the names and addresses.
  • Copy & paste the addresses into a word processing program and print from there.
