  I'm confused. I've seen descriptions of this review where all you need to do is to go through a bit of online training and then pass an exam.

  But I also read - on the site of VMware - certification requires hands-on experience and another component that I have forgot.for right away.

  If there is a practical component, how do you get access to that please?

  There is no formal requirement for the VCA exams.

  Practical experience (meaning you have worked with VMware products before the examination) will make it easier for you to answer the question. You can hear everything from blues and videos draw, but work with the product you will make it easier

  You can go to this link: VMware Labs and take online in your browser. Pretty nice way to play with some features without having to spend thousands of dollars for a homelab. You don't have to spend hours of installation

  I'm looking forward to associate level certification in SQL and PL/SQL.

  According to a link from the official website of Oracle, I need to spend the next two STAGES to win the Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate Certification. The two steps are:

  There are to options available in two stages , so I chose to give the two following tests:

  1 (from step 1) EXAM: 1Z0-061 (database Oracle 12 c: basic SQL)

  REVIEW 2 (step 2): 1Z0-144 (Oracle Database 11 G: program PL/SQL)

  Now my questions are these:

  Question 1: I intend to take the exam 1Z0-061 first (lets say in June), may therefore take the second exam (1Z0-144) at any time after appearing for the first review or is there no specific time frame in which I'm suppose to take the second review?

  
  

  Question 2: will what type of certification I get if I take only one exam (1Z0-061 or 1Z0-144)? I know Oracle's official website said that in order to get "Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate Certification", I need to pass the two exams; but what happens if I chose to give only a single review at the present time? In the case giving a single review, what type of document of certification will I right to (wave speculation: right to half certification Oracle PL/SQL Developer )?

  Answer 1: He is there no time limit/limit. Finally, I guess Oracle takes his retirement 1Z0-144, but which does not occur for many years.  They have not even removed from the earlier incarnation (1Z0-147).

  Answer 2: Passing a review in itself does not have a certification or credential.  The only "book", you will have is the sheet of test results.

  3. can I vMotion VM Cluster with older CPU for the Cluster with more recent CPU? Assume that CVS is not enabled on the source cluster, but active on the destination Cluster.

  4. I can vMotion VM Cluster with older CPU for the Cluster with more recent CPU? Suppose that EVC is enabled on the source cluster, but not active on the destination Cluster.

  5 can I vMotion of virtual machine of a stand-alone ESXi host on an active EVC cluster? Assume that the CPU is the same.

  6 the KB "EVC and CPU compatibility FAQ" below, if we disable CVS on a cluster, the virtual machine can only be migrated to hosts with CPU even or more.

  Why virtual machines is only able to move to other ESX/ESXi hosts that are in the same generation of CPU or more? It's in front of my knowledge.

  What is the impact on vSphere features of the Cluster when I turn off the CVS mode?

  To turn off the CVS on a cluster mode, it affects vSphere Cluster features in the following ways:

  • vSphere HA (High availability): vSphere HA is not affected because of the cyclic power failover virtual machines when you start on a new host. This allows the VM picking up the new ID CPU and it allows to start without problem
  • vSphere DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler):
    • vMotion: virtual machines is only able to move to other ESX/ESXi hosts that are in the same generation of CPU or more. If the DRS is configured for fully automated, this can result in virtual machines, eventually migrating to hosts on the cluster with the generation of CPU more old where they cannot be moved via vMotion on different hosts with a newer processor generation.
    • Storage vMotion: virtual machines are able to be moved to Storage vMotion with EVC mode disabled in a cluster
  • Location of the pagefile: it is not affected.

  (a) you very well can vMotion virtual computers between the hosts with identical processors within the cluster.

  (b) for vMotions on different hosts, it depends on CPU instruction set parity and orientation, i.e. the older generation-> new generation or vice versa.

  Consider the following: when a VM is turned on at the start, it is presented in UC sets from the physical host, where it has been turned on. It must keep these settings until the virtual machine is turned off, any host it is migrated to in the meantime. Therefore, as long as a host provides these CPU instruction sets, it can be vMotioned it. Further instructions on new hosts games is irrelevant for this and just hidden-away of the guest. So old-> new should be fine, but new-> old most likely will not work because the virtual machine works with games of additional CPU instructions that only is simply not supported by the older physical processor.

  2. I can vMotion VM Cluster with older CPU for the Cluster with more recent CPU? Assume that CVS is not activated on the two groups.

  Yes, generally vMotion shall function in older generations of CPU to the most recent, the same common CPU instruction sets are supported by the destination CPU host and enabled in the BIOS.

  3. can I vMotion VM Cluster with older CPU for the Cluster with more recent CPU? Assume that CVS is not enabled on the source cluster, but active on the destination Cluster.

  4. I can vMotion VM Cluster with older CPU for the Cluster with more recent CPU? Suppose that EVC is enabled on the source cluster, but not active on the destination Cluster.

  Yes, the same general vMotion as explained above requirements. If CVS is enabled on any, both or a cluster does not matter (of course provided a configured VCA level is not reverse the physical hardware capabilities 'new' and 'old').

  5 can I vMotion of virtual machine of a stand-alone ESXi host on an active EVC cluster? Assume that the CPU is the same.

  Yes, the same general vMotion as explained above requirements. A stand-alone host is exactly the same thing treated as a non - active EVC cluster.

  Where can I find reviews of practice for the vca - VTC? I used the test of practice on the vmware Web site but they cross only maybe 20 different questions. Some other materials are also good study that will help me to pass the exam?

  The practical issues are not the same that on the real exam - he would "practice" a little too effective if they were the same.

  From what I've read several times, the basic training is pretty complete in terms of exam item coverage.

  For all VMware certification exams, I would recommend that you read the action plan which covers the objectives of the review - and if you feel you need to do additional reading/study/preparation you will know the specific areas, for that you will need to do this.

  The regular commitment lasts 90 minutes in total - 75 to answer questions and 15 minutes to complete agreements and demographic issues.

  You've got another 30 minutes to answer the questions, you are in the exam in a country where English is not the first language - you can see that at the bottom left of the screenshot you posted.

  So you will have 105 minutes to answer the questions, as well as 15 minutes to complete agreements and demographic issues.

  As the title says, I went VCA - VTC and VCA-Cloud.

  It discourages me that official VMware courses don't cover everything in the master plan and was looking for a study guide or book that contains everything you need to study to succeed VCP550 review (in addition to the official documentation of VMware).

  Would you recommend the Mastering VMware vSphere 5.5 by Scott Lowe and Nick Marshall as sufficiently ? study material I fell on it and it seems fairly complete.
