locked files - Dreamweaver CS5.5

I had to wipe my hard drive, reinstall and restore my files from the backup drive.  After that, Dreamweaver tells me all my files site "is a file that is locked and can be read but not changed.  What do you do with this file? »

Why my files are locked, and how can I get them unlocked?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Dreamweaver CS5.5 Version 11.5 Build 5315

Mac OS 10.9.5

We restore from a Time Machine backup on a disk of love at first sight.

I have checked and changed the preferences in the finder, the files Dreamweaver site, but had no luck.

I scoured the internet looking for a solution, while the Adviser to Apple, I've worked with, was leaving for the weekend.  I tried to delete the file/user/Library/Application Support / Adobe / Dreamweaver CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/MacFileCache-C92F77BA.dat.  No difference.  I even deleted the entire folder Configuration.  He did a little difference.

When Apple consultant, Nathan Smith, back after his off weekend, she suggests going (in the finder) my user/documents folder and the craze for the folder and everything what it, by selecting 'apply to included items '.  And it worked!  Dreamweaver is happy now!  This also solves the issues I've had with other applications.

  • I uninstalled Dreamweaver CS5.5 and reinstalled and now I can not find or open my files websoite.

When I installed first my Dreamweaver CS5.5, I took a class and using my instructor (4 years ago). When I tried to open and update my site yesterday (as I do every year for my small business) I got a message from Java Update I did.  Then, I got a message to uninstall and reinstall Dreamweaver I've done.  Now I can open the app, but I can not open my Web site files.  I see them on the menu, but they do not open.  I am on a Mac with os x Yosemite.  I think it has something to do with the managed sites, but after trying several things, I did more than a mess of things and I can not always open my files.  My site is still running on the remote server, but I can't do the updates that I need for my Web site for 2016. I wish there was someone in the Milwaukee area, that I could go to help me with this or someone who can guide me through it over the phone.

Go to Site > new Site or manage Sites.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 crashes after uploading files to server

Dreamweaver CS5 - Windows 7 - all is well until I upload files to the server.  Then, if I stay logged in or not, if I try to open a page or a template, Dreamweaver crashes.

I tried to restore preferences (by deleting the registry key), etc., but nothing seems to help.

    Any ideas?

I just tried this and my problem seems to have disappeared!

  • Dreamweaver CS5 won't start, can't find the configuration file

Dreamweaver can not locate the resource file in the Configuration folder. This file is required to run Dreamweaver. Please reinstall the application.

Dreamweaver CS5 does not start because of the above error message.

Found the file configuration, but on my roaming profile on the server, not on the C drive.

Note that I have installed Dreamweaver on the second partition of the hard drive, not on C drive due to lack of space. Other software Adobe CS5 work well, like Photoshop and InDesign.

I tried to delete the Configuration file (after saving), I read on this forum that it should be automatically recreated, but without success. Tried to copy the Configuration (in fact the entire Adobe folder) folder for the user profile on the C drive, but without success.

No previous version of Dreamweaver has been installed on this PC. However, I have used earlier versions on different computers and there are in the Adobe folder on my roaming profile of CS4 and CS6 tracks.

    Could you please tell?

I had searched the forum before posting, but could not find a relevant solution.

Changed the registry as suggested by your link, but without success.

Re-installed Dreamweaver CS5 and it worked. Detective Conan.

Thank you for your quick response, I appreciate it a lot. I need to mark it as useful, although the problem has been solved by another method?

  • Analysis of Dreamweaver CS5 fatal error XML: an invalid document structure, line: 1, file: C:\User\Tyler\App

Fatal XML parsing error: an invalid document structure, line: 1 file: C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\Classic.xml

I have crossed former disscussion forums and followed the recommended steps by removing the file .xml corrupted itself (in this case 'Classic.xml') but imidiatly after when I try to open Dreamweaver once again, I am prompted with the same fatal error including the file that I just deleted. Then I deleted the entire file configures and that did not help either.

It is also strange that when I followed the path to find the .xml file corrupted at the prompt, the path is different because I can't find the file 'Classic.xml' through 'en_US\Configuration\Weorkspace' e navigation, but I find the "Classic.xml" file corrupted in the file 'configure' file 'Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.

Im not sure what to do now and I would really like Dreamweaver to the top and running so help please if you can!

    Thank you

    -Tyler

Step 1: Close DW, go to C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\ and delete this file Classic.xml

Reopen DW. DW must auto-créer your workspace layout XML file once again. See if it works very well.

GO TO STEP 2, IF STEP 1 DOES NOT RESOLVE THE ISSUE

Step 2: Go to the C:\Users\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en-US\Configuration and delete the entire folder "SETUP" . Reopen DW. DW should automatically create your configuration file based on pre-defined schemas and configuration options. This will definitely fix your problem.

Reason for this question: this question would have been caused due to a malformed workspace setup. That can happen due to customizations you have made to the layout / bad permissions of files / bad closing Windows.

See if these patches does not solve your problem and post your results here.

    See you soon,.

  • Dreamweaver CS5.5 removing Code when copying a file

When I try to copy or duplicate a file in Dreamweaver CS5.5 for Mac, Dreamweaver deletes the last five or six lines of code. I have to create a lot of almost identical Web pages with the same footer on each page, and it's really exhausting to have to go again in each page and re - create the code that has been removed and Dreamweaver. I've updated the Dreamweaver software both OS, but it has not fixed the problem. No matter if I use the "copy", "Paste", "duplicate" functions of Dreamweaver, or if I just use command + C, command + V. I can't find someone online who have a similar problem. Any of you know of a fix?

    Here is an example:

The code at the end of the original page:

    < p > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; "' make-size: 10px" href = " http://Osu.okstate.edu " > OSU Homepage < /a > < font style = "-font size: 10px" > | < / font > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; "' do-size: 10px" href = " http://admissions.okstate.edu " > admissions home page < /a > < font style = "font size: 10px" > | < / font > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; "do-size: 10px" href = "mailto: [email protected] " > contact us < /a > < font style = "font size: 10px" > | "" < / font > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; "' make-size: 10px" href = " http://admissions.okstate.edu/getmail " target = "_blank" > Get Mail < /a > < /p > < / center > < / html > "

What ends up on the copied page:

    < p > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; "' make-size: 10px" href = " http://Osu.okstate.edu " > OSU Homepage < /a > < font style = "-font size: 10px" > | < / font > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; "' do-size: 10px" href = " http://admissions.okstate.edu " > admissions home page < /a > < font style = "font size: 10px" > | < / font > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; "do-size: 10px" href = "mailto: [email protected] " > contact us < /a > < font style = "font size: 10px" > | "" < / font > < a style = "color: #FF6600;" make-weight: bold; do-size: 10

On the side of the remote server, I can with the button straight on, say, index.html and copy or duplicate. It is in this process that the code is being cut.

I have never work that way and wouldn't for various reasons.

Best to open index.html in your Local Site.

    Hit file > SaveAs "some-new - upploadare.

Try a few times and report with your results.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 crashes when you use the drop-down file menu

    Hi all

I used Dreamweaver CS5 all day learning CSS. Everything works well with the multiple screens open and div tags work properly.

However, after I turned off my computer, something seems broken. When I start up, I open Dreamweaver and then open a Web page. But if I click on the drop-down the menu 'file' in the top menu, Dreamweaver crashes.

It does not give an error code, if I use a shortcut to move through the menu, then it will crash again. I can use the other tabs as 'Edit' and 'View', but after a few minutes, Dreamweaver crashes on its own.

  • JPG files is not displayed when I put them in Dreamweaver CS5

HEY people: I've been a user of Dreamweaver MX for the years running on Windows XP and the Suite CorelDraw 12.  I loved.  Never had a problem.  The hard drive is dead and I was forced to buy a new, and I am now under Windows7 I hate with passion.  I also had to upgrade to Dreamweaver CS5 and CorelDraw X 5 because none of the programs were compatible with Windows7.  Sorry about that.

My problem is all of a sudden, the CorelDraw files that I export to jpg in my web directory are not displayed when I place a placeholder image on the page.  I drag the target to the file and the icon changes to a broken image rather than the file appears as it would normally.  I can change the image to a png file and it will appear, but I didn't do anything the jpg appear.  First of all, I thought it was some kind of permission problem, because the jpgs in the directory all have liitle gold padlock icon in the lower left corner.  I can make these go away with a complicated set of clicks on the page permissions for the directory, but that does not appear on the page.  I have no idea how to deal with this.  I'm pulling my hair out because I got hundreds of graphics files on the site and moat of them will not be displayed.  any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Post a link to one of your jpg images.

Most of the browsers cannot render CMYK images.  They should be RGB.

  • Why the FTP of Dreamweaver CS5 is remove my files the?

"Selected" default mode LOCAL files are deleted when I select REMOTE for deleting files. REMOTE files remain, the LOCAL files are irreversibly removed forever.

Please read this post on the subject (screenshot in post):http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3191425/has-dreamweaver-cs5-been-deleting-local-files-i nstead of remote files

My request for time to devote to fixing this problem was rejected by management. I am at a loss and have nowhere to go now - I am also attached using Dreamweaver CS5.

    Nightmare.

Adobe are aware of this bug and it will address in there next update.

There is a simple work around where you don't have to change views.

    (1) select the remote file, the files or folders you want to work with.

    2) click on the Refresh button at the top of the files Panel.

    (3) select the remote file, the file or folder you want to work with again.

    (4) make a right click and choose 'delete '.

  • Backup locked files in Dreamweaver

I recently implemented a customer to use Contribute to update their Web site, while I do also some updates in Dreamweaver. When I check on a file, and then check in the file, Dreamweaver locks the file on my computer. If I do a backup of my files to a second computer, these files are also locked. Next time I want to back up to the second computer, I can't replace or delete the previous backup because some files are locked. I'm on a Mac, and I don't see a way to select the entire folder and quickly unlock all files in all subfolders. Even if I could, it would be a nuisance to have to do each time. Is there a way I can use the Check In / Check Out system properly without getting locked files? Thank you.

I find the behavior of DW in this respect a major nuisance, precisely for the reason
you mention. I use a Terminal order this recursively unlocks * all * the
files in a given directory and all of its subfolders, which I performed before
to do this type of backup.

If you are comfortable using Terminal, simply type this into Terminal
window, substituting your own directory path. If, for example, your computer
user name is rinaldoh and you keep all your websites in a directory called
"Websites" inside your Documents folder, you would like this:

    chflags-r nouchg/Users/rinaldoh/Documents/WebSites

If you are comfortable with the Terminal, you can make an alias like I did.
I just open a Terminal window unlockall and type and it runs my command.

DW will always extract files (and the re - block) the next time you change
them - I've done this for a long time and so far I can tell, it
does not affect the use of checkin/checkout somehow. It allows you
    Replace your own files.

If you're worried about it, however, you can run the command on the backup
files only, which would achieve the same thing without removing the lock
in the site files Dreamweaver active.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 does not

I'm new to the forum so be gentle with me. I recently bought a template Monster template. It is a reagent JS animation you can see here. http://www.templatemonster.com/demo/45250.html. Good form the GET go I had problems with it causing DW to enter a State does not.  No matter what I tried, he continued to do so.  Monster model agreed to exchange it for another.  See here http://www.templatemonster.com/website-templates/46550.html. Needless to say, he gave me the same problems.  So to try to fix it myself, I did a complete re - formatting and installing Windows. Installed all the updates from Microsoft, etc. With nothing else installed on the computer, I then installed CS5 Design Premium. The first file in Dreamweaver, I opened was the first index of the new model page. And low and here is exactly the same problem. A few clicks anywhere on any of the pages and it the DW is locked up in a State does not. Without giving up, I tried more than a few pages of the new model, and they're all the same. I still had a copy of the original model, so I tried one of those, and Yes you guessed it, exactly the same problem. Still not wanting to give it up, I took the models on other computers with Windows 7 Home Premium, just like mine, installed and... need CS5 I say, the same problem. The best I can say is that there is a glitch in the model that is not displayed on the side, or there is a major problem with CS5. At this point, I have no solution to the problem after researching it for the last 6 days and many hours, and try everything I could on my end. Does anyone know of settings or anything that should be changed in order to make a template like this work?  I tried with Live View and Live Code in and outside.  Disable JS, disable Plugins and external files, nothing works.  Help, please!

  • Yet another Visual problem Dreamweaver CS5

I've been running CS5 DW for months. Last night while making a small local PHP page, DW locked up. I closed DW and now everytime I try to run it, I see 'Classic' to come (even this truncated dialog box) and then that's where the video ends. Hi, NeverRight.

I see you mentioned deleting the cache file, but have you tried to delete the entire User Configuration folder? (This is the same folder in which the file cache is stored.)

Have you tried to remove your site definition (s) and then delete the file cache?

It is also possible that Dreamweaver needs to connect to your server to test and somehow created this very large cache file.

An easy way to clear your sites is to Save a backup to and then delete the following registry key:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Common\11

(Assuming you are using CS5. CS5.5 would be 11.5.)

After deleting the registry key, delete the cache file (or full User Configuration folder) and then restart Dreamweaver.

If this does not help, then I suggest that you take the following steps:

-Remove the Adobe Dreamweaver CS5.5 \Adobe C:\Program Files (x 86) folder and then use your original installer to reinstall Dreamweaver. This will repair the installation. Don't forget to install the updates after the repair.

-Install or re-install the latest graphics drivers for your system.

-Create a new Windows user account, log out of your account, log in to the new account, and then try to run Dreamweaver.
