Log archiving stuck because of the issue of space

Hi all

I'm on oracle 10G, OS: Linux

Archive logs have been generated and suddenly, because of the issue of space, they don't since I ran out of space.
Now, I have increased the space... The archiving log starts automatically now?

If this isn't the case, then what is the procedure I should follow to start their.

Thank you
Kkukreja

the archives will be lance automatically. If archiving is not the case, your database will be hooked... every time that your database is in archive log mode is automatically activated without having to enable again & new
Check the setting of log_archive_dest_state , that is by default enabled.
no need to worrry...

  • Log archiving is mandatory for the integrated implementation of Capture?

Required for the implementation of integrated Capture ARCHIVELOG.

I tried to implement without archiving log and it seemed to work for a while. However, after you turn off the archiving log, got the error below and extract added. IC is supposed to use recovery logs is not it?

Extract get all LONG columns because the archiving mode is disabled.
No valid default archive log destination directory found 1 wire.
Database ERROR OGG-02057 The Oracle source is not properly configured to support integrated capture.
Mode ARCHIVELOG of OGG-02055 ERROR must be enabled on the Oracle database.
    2012-10-12 08:56:32 ERROR OGG-01668 PROCESS ABENDING.

    Receive your answer.

I think that the log mode archive must be on for IC. It's oracle documentation

OGG-02055: ARCHIVELOG Mode must be enabled on the Oracle database
Cause: Integrated Capture is not supported for this Oracle database because in ARCHIVELOG mode is not enabled on this database.

Action: Enable ARCHIVELOG mode on this database, or not use integrated capture.

  • suggestd plant because of the issue of the authorization

    Hello

On my iMac late 2009 10.11.4 running I notice suggestd is constantly crashing, I see the bottom of incident reports every 20-30 seconds.  I turned the service into launchd for now, that made me understand I have a similar problem with mdworker.  I fixed the permissions, and last night even reinstalled El Capitan, no improvement at all.

I have seen a few articles that suggest for empty folder of the Suggestions in the user's library, but the folder does not exist.  When I create a folder of the same name manually and change the permissions to read/write for all, the file does not get filled and errors and accidents continue.

Can any suggestion on how I fix?

(In which case it is linked: I the system and libraries of the user running on a SSD and the folders are stored on a HARD drive.)  User libraries are a symbolic link of user folders to the SSD.  This caused no problems as far as I know.)

  • With regard to the issue of space

There is a problem of space in datatop. Could you please help me remove all newspapers and useless data at this location. As the mount which own datatop is completely filled.

    Hello

You have on this disc archivelog files? If so, consider move/delete obsolete files. For the files in data/storage space, it is possible to reduce it, please do. Otherwise, you will have to move to another drive.

In addition, if AUTOEXTEND is enabled, you must turn it off (at least for now) until you have more space on this disk.

You can also consult the following document, it should be useful.

  • Continuous measurement and logging model - Hang-Up of may because of the lost output

The model of continuous measurement and logging in LabVIEW 2012SP1 has a flaw in the Acquisition and recording loop.

Stop messages manager ignores all messages in the queue of messages. The note says:
"Stop - empty the queue of all pending messages 'Connect'. Close the reference of TDMS files. "See the picture below.

This concept breaks if the output message is issued while the Stop message is being processed. The time gap critical to do this is small, because the issue is posted on the front of the queue. But it depends on the treatment in the case of the Manager to stop. Large or small - it can happen.

The symptom is the application block in an infinite waiting on the queue of message - all commands have no effect, as the rest of the loops are completed. Break terminates the application. Pause button doesn't work anymore. (see this entry forum)
This problem may appear only after enforcement has become more complex and the schedule has changed - the fresco made model works and does not reveal the question.

The cure: first of all I thought to preview the elements of the queue before they are scrapped selectively, one by one in the loop to stop, but that usually is not working either, because the output can happen precicely in the laps of time between overview and dequeue - don't forget no outputs are displayed on the front of the queue.

I think the best option is to replace the flush of the queue in the Stop messages with a selective messages waiting managers one by one and check if the output is - if so, reseat it in the front of the queue. All other messages are discared. That look like this, have seen interesting parts...

Here is the message loop to stop with the problem highlighted.

As I'm not mistaken, I think it's better that NEITHER updates the model to avoid this problem.

Here is the case of the resting State in the case of stop message:

Us do not hang the CPU run a constant stream of messages ineffective because we only "Log" enqueue messages when we are in the valid state logging (a State of rest here is again a passthrough).

The worst case, it's that there are number of register requests already in the queue when the system shuts down. After receiving the stop idling message, state transitions and other Log messages become non - ops due to the State.

I consider the opportunity to post a few screws update

  • The issue of logging of access control list name.

    Hello

I've used ACL for many years and had not too many questions. I am a new client site and a project of Port authentication that we planned on using extanded access control lists to control traffic entirely open to help write the correct ACL for services using the ACL. The issue I have found is using the ACL below-> syslog logging does not show the port number which is exactly what we are after. We have not named ACL extended that record the port number as well.

    Running: Cisco IOS Software, s72033_rp (s72033_rp-IPSERVICESK9_WAN-M), Version 12.2 (33) SXH3a, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

    IP extended Access-list-example access list

    IP enable any any newspaper
    deny ip any any newspaper

    The log output:

    Mar 22 11:23:46: % s-6-IPACCESSLOGP: the list of access-list-example permit tcp nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn (0)-> xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (0), 1 packet

On a normal extended access list, we get this in a log output:

    access-list 120 allow host ip nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn xxx.xxx.xxx.0 0.0.0.7 Journal

    Mar 22 09:31:46: % s-6-IPACCESSLOGP: list 120 permit tcp nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn (3874)-> xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx (5001), 1 packet

This shows the port numbers - I was wondering what small thing that I missed on logging for what I checked: http://www.cisco.com/web/about/security/intelligence/acl-logging.html and I see that the use of the switch of newspaper should do this because it shows the port numbers in their example.

I'm sure it'll be something simple but I can't figure it out - I searched all odd Cisco cautions for ACL named which connect to port numbers, but can't find anything easily. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

    Thank you

    Z.

For the port number appear in the newspapers, you must create the list of access as follows:

    IP extended Access-list-example access list

permit tcp any gt 0 any gt 0 log
permit udp any gt 0 any gt 0 log

    Hope that helps.

  • Logs archiving for the RAC ASM basics

    Hello

I have a question about logs archiving on the ASM database located on a RAC. I created a database orcl who has orcl1 instance on node1 and orcl2 on Node2. For the backup of this database, I enabled for the database to archivelog.

After a few transactions and backups, I noticed that there are two sets of archiving logs created on each node in the folder $ORACLE_HOME/dbs. In node 1, it starts with arch1_ * and node2 is arch2_ *.

IWhy is it creates logs archiving on local disks, in which she should ideally create disks asm which is shared between the nodes. My backup application fails with journal archive not found error, because it searches newspaper archives in the other node.

All entries on this will be useful.

I believe that it is missing from your configuration database and Oracle uses the default location. (i.e. your "$ORACLE_HOME/dbs")

ARCHIVELOG must focus on a shared domain.

You need the parameter config below:

    SQL> show parameter db_recovery_file
    NAME TYPE VALUE
    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
    db_recovery_file_dest string
    db_recovery_file_dest_size big integer

    Or location of default config:

    SQL> show parameter log_archive_dest

    NAME TYPE VALUE
    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
    log_archive_dest string

IWhy is it creates logs archiving on local disks, in which she should ideally create disks asm which is shared between the nodes. My backup application fails with journal archive not found error, because it searches newspaper archives in the other node.

To resolve this problem see this example:

    SQL> show parameter recover

    NAME TYPE VALUE
    ------------------------------------ ----------- ------------------------------
    db_recovery_file_dest string
    db_recovery_file_dest_size big integer 1

I suggest you only begin by taking the measures recommended in this support article.

Cannot open my download because lack of archives and unregistered in the same folder. What I am doing wrong?

You can extract in your download folder, but you should create a new folder, copy the exe and 7z into this folder, and then double-click the exe file.  Leave it to extract the files in the folder that you created.

These archives are saved? The command above does not update the RMAN Repository if in case, the archives have been manually delete at the OS level.
I recommend you save these records and then remove them.

    RMAN>backup archivelog all not backedup 1 times delete input;

If these archives are already saved and were not deleted from the disk, then you can use the below command

    RMAN>delete force noprompt archivelog all completed before 'SYSDATE-n';

where "n" is the number of days of delay on the current date. Be sure to check if these archives have been saved before deleting.
