I had this problem for a while. I was using the guest account, now I can't access it. When I connect to my account the screen flashes and I can't do anything. My apps are missing too. It flashes from office to home screen, and you can't do anything.

  1. Are you using a 3rd party antivirus application on your computer?
  2. Are what applications you referring?
  3. What happens when you try to access the user account guest?
  4. You did changes to the computer before this problem?

A guest account is an account for users who do not have a permanent account on your PC. It allows people (invited) to use your computer without having access to your personal files. Users logged on to the guest account cannot install applications or hardware, change PC settings or create a password.

Refer to the following and check information. This will help you to solve the problem of flashing screen.

I suggest you to update the drivers to display the computer manufacturer's website and check if it helps.

If the problem persists, start the computer in safe mode and check.

As a work around, I suggest to create a new user account and check the status of problems in the new user account.

Enable or disable the guest account and check. This should help you solve problem of guest user account.

1. open the Control Paneland click / tap on the user accounts icon.

2. click on / press the link Manage another account .

3. If prompted by UAC, then click on/tap on Yes.

4 click / tap on the host list account and do step 5 or 6 below for what you want to do.

5. to turn off the guest account

(A) click/click on the Start buttonand go to step 7 below.

6. to activate the guest account

NOTE: It is the default setting.

(A) click on the link Activate the guest account .

7. Once completed, you can close user accounts if you wish.
