Looking for an email template, I clicked on Smilebox. He installed at least two, now uninstalled programs. But how do we stop the toolbar of Smilebox appearing when I open Firefox?

Even if I uninstalled both programs to Smilebox who were listed by the Windows XP "Add/Remove Programs", when later I opened Firefox, I found that I had a toolbar unwanted "Smilebox" - which does not seem an option delete or no show.

How to I get rid of him?

You will find directions on how to remove the toolbar here

  • When you are looking for WeatherFox, I discovered that my bottom bar everything was gone. I can't figure out how to restore. The Add-ons are still installed.

I just noticed this morning that the lower tool, including weatherfox, Hebrew calendar and several other modules, has completely disappeared. Maybe it's a matter of having inadvertently clicked on something one day when do not not paying attention. When I checked under Firefox preferences earlier, I went to < manage add-ons > and saw installed at all the modules have been installed yet. I can't find a way to restore the tool bar display lower.

Having a back-up, I opened the time Machine to see if a previous Firefox homepage included the bottom bar. I don't know if I did not go far enough or if Firefox is somehow the opening to a new default value, involuntary without the lower bar, any distance back I go.

During this time, writing this, I went back to Firefox preferences, and now the General Preferences dialog box is completely ruined, as if the size of the content of this dialog box had grown up, in two dimensions, so it is no longer within the area and parts of it are not available. It is truncated, in other words, as well on the side right and on the bottom. I can isn't even access the section modules. The last visible thing at the bottom of that box is the upper part of the line of text that is displayed as follows: 'Pick your add-ons Preferences.' It's as if someone came with an Exacto and sheared to the lower part of this line of text. And then there is in the lower left corner. Along the right side of the box, under the "Home Page", there are three buttons: use current Pages >, < use a bookmark > and < restore Dfau >, which is the point where the text ends.

What the hell is happening? Now, it's not only a question of restoring the lower bar on my page of Firefox, with display modules, but apparently I need to figure out how to resize the preferences General dialog box, as well. I just checked: other preferences dialog boxes appear to be rising correctly.

Thunderbird 50.0 guard bringing the local folders page and the splash screen for the integration system guard appearing whenever I load Thunderbird. I said to ignore integration integration of the system and whenever I load Thunderbird I tell him to jump again, integration, she keeps just appearing. I always unchecked 'perform this check at startup of Thunderbird' every time and he always appears.

In a nutshell: 1. even though I don't want to see the screen of local folders, only my emails the Local Folders screen keeps appearing whenever I load Thunderbird. 2. no matter what I do the start screen "System Integration" appears whenever I load Thunderbird.

None of that happened with the previous version of Thunderbird.

The current version of Thunderbird is 45. There is a beta version out there for V50, but like most beta software, it will expose some weird things as the development cycle continues. I suggest create you a bug report. https://Bugzilla.Mozilla.org/

Att/yahoo updated my email, which suggests to select Firefox as the browser, but how to get back the taskbar?

Hi, you are missing the taskbar Windows, which usually appears at the bottom of the screen? Firefox normally does not block the taskbar if you do not use the mode full-screen. To check if you are using full-screen, you can use the F11 key that toggles between full screen and normal mode.

Or if you meant the menu bar (File, Edit, View), you have two options:

    (1) display on request: press the ALT key to press F10 to display bar temporarily

    (2) time full display: you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select menu bar it:

The offending site is loaded in a second tab as well as my home page when I open Firefox. How can I stop this loading site automatically?

    Hi lennynyr,

Out of curiosity, what is the additional site? You should take a look at the Knowledge Base How to set the home pagearticle.

There are the steps in this article to reset your preferences on the default home page. I would try everything first to clear all strangeness. If it works, you can try to set your homepage again to your personal preferences.

If this does not work, you should look at article unsaved Preferences.

    Hope this helps!

  • I did the update for Firefox 7 but when I open Firefox, it tells me that I must upgrade to the latest version which I have, how do I fix?

I keep my Firefox constantly updated, but in recent weeks Gmail has been telling me that I use an older version that she can't stand even though I have the updated version. I was warned that Firefox could be updated to the latest version, I did. After the update when I opened Firefox it told me that I needed to upgrade to the latest version that I had already done. How can I fix?

Having both versions is a possibility. The other is that the user agent is stuck to the old version of Firefox 3.5.3 due to some extension.

Check general.useragent preferences on the topic: config page.
You can open the topic: config page through the address (address) bar just like you open a Web site.

    Filter: general.useragent

If all general.useragent prefs are "BOLD" (user set) then right-click this pref and select reset.

We could probably due the FBSMTWB on the end of your useragent as the extension toolbar to Fast Browser Search added at some point and therefore the uptight version of Firefox. This problem has been resolved from Firefox 4.0.
