  I have a USB-6008 be used to control a couple of valves with its digital output channels. The digital output channels are a relay that energizes the solenoid valves (valves are 115VAC) switching. The USB device is connected to a USB port on laptop.

  The software/hardware was working fine, then some time while it was connected there was a power surge. There was a 2 a fuse on the 115 VAC line that blew.

  After this communication surge was no longer able to be implemented with the box USB-6008. Is it possible for a power surge affecting the USB device, even if his power comes from the power supply of 5V USB?

  It looks like the surge caused a sort of feedback of the valve of your USB device. This USB device is not designed for industrial applications and can easily be damaged in the situation you described. For a USB device with a greater ability to withstand this type of power surge, you should watch the box USB-6525. A better solution would be a CompactDAQ or CompactRIO system with a NI 9401, which is designed to withstand 1 000 V_rms, verified by a 5 s dielectric withstand test.

• Loss of communication with CAN

  If you're just make read only followed, you probably don't need to close the communication.

  It may be advisable to do it just so that you can keep the distinction between the parties.

  If your monitor is any transmission, then you will need to stop transmitting when you detach your listeners to avoid entering a State of Bus Off.

  I'm sorry that you are having this problem. There are several steps you can take to help your connection problem. First of all, when the printer is connected to your network, print a Network Setup page. On this page, use the ip address of the printer and that type in the address bar of your internet browser on your computer. Will take you to the server of the web integrated printer (EWS). Look for the Networking tab change the automatic ip addressing to public static ip (manual).   We use a smart camera OR 1774C with Vision Builder 2011 on a PC with Windows 7 SP1 via a Ethernet cable, at this stage only through 'acquire Image - Sample' and not a model of inspection (the software engineer is not available for this). Whenever I try to run the camera in burst mode, I find myself after less than a minute or two with a loss of communication and a "error-1073774588 / 0xBFFF8004 ' message... then Vision cannot see the camera and Windows Task Manager shows the use of the network as being 99%, even if I unplug or turn off the camera. And when I'm in Windows logs for applications I find some messages in the likes of "LabView information: 404 Not Found error for / national instruments/vision/vision builder have / commserver, file c:/program files / national instruments/shared/or Server Web/www/national instruments/vision/vision builder have / commserver, can not access the URL ', the only difference between newspapers is the very last part 'commserver' or '4.2.0 '.

  This problem also occurs if I go for a single image or sometimes without even firing at all. Initially, the camera was put on a dynamic IP, so I tried several static IP settings including one of our IT checked, Guy and he never solved the problem.   OK so the last word seems to be one of the 2 Intel Gigabit Ethernet controllers on the motherboard don't like the camera.   Well, without seeing the goal and test it on other devices, better that we can do is to guess...

  First thing that I would ask is how you cleaned the contacts? I've seen it is suggested to use a pencil eraser and I do not recommend. I suggest instead using a few drops of isopropyl alcohol to moisten a cloth and wipe the contacts on the back of the lens with that (isopropyl or isopropynol alcohol there is widely and cheaply, is sometimes called "rubbing alcohol"). Away from the optics of the lens. Clean the contacts inside the front of the camera, making sure not to touch the mirror or anything else. These "PIN" type contacts are ultimately too... Gently press each one to ensure no sticking.

• Need help setting up network home (Windows 7 Professional)

  I don't know why I have so much trouble with this.  I think that I never properly put in place a network before.  Usually, I just turn on my router with a password, and then the phone and other devices connect directly to the router.  I just got a new computer with Windows 7 Professional and it is prompting me to create a home network - and have apparently created a new password for the 'network' that is different from the password for the router.  I have a feeling that this will be easy, but I do not get set up correctly.

  First question, in the instructions to configure the network at a time given, was asked if all "clients" had a "wifi protected setup" button

  I have 2 x 10GE switches dedicated for Taffic VSAN

  also 2 * 1GBE switches for management / VM / Vmotion traffic

  Each host has 2 10 GbE NIC, 1 uplink for each of 10GBE switches

  Each host also has 4 * rising 1GBE, 2 for each of the switches 1GBE

  My idea is to use 10GBE just for VSAN traffic (separate DVSWitch, an asset, a standby) on each 10GBE switch

  Also to use 2 Ports on the management traffic (separate DVSWitch, an asset, a standby) on each 1GBE switch

  And use 2 Ports on traffic VM (separate DVSWitch, an asset, a standby) on each 1GBE switch

  VMotion traffic would be on the same rising as management, but active / standby vice versa

  Question: is - this possiuble / useful to connect vmotion for 10 GbE uplink ports (active standby vice versa VSAN traffic)

  I appreciate any useful comment on my scheduled install (I have no boy networking)

  Couple thoughts.  You can run several vKernels to VSAN and vMotion (allowing one on each switch).  To VSAN, use of VLANS / subnets (one on each switch offers you a pleasant has / B space) while vMotion must have all the vkernel on the same subnet 2 ideally layer.  This allows for maximum reliability, in theory faster failover and access flow.  This also has the advantage of if your cluster is not big (bigger that say 48 ports) you can avoid having multicasting, leaving the switch (usually requires more quarrels with the cats of network) as each switch TOR will have its own VSAN network.    Then use the NIOC for butterfly and protect the traffic between them.  Now the NIOC is not as effective as SR - IOV (but its good enough) to 100% and you will maximize your investment 10 Gbps without swamping the things.

  In this case, VLAN, 100, 101 and 102 will be on all switches.

  * 103 and 104 could be configured to only exist on each switch (has / B isolation, failover do not switch on the value and set up on both) or exist on both (and use standby) as described.  This design will focus on maintaining the communications host-to-host on the same switch (decreases complications with multicasting and reduces its lag time as VSAN traffic does not have to jump to another switch unless you run out of switch ports, but now with dense 40Gbps past using 10 Gbps break out in theory you could hit the limit of 64 nodes on a single switch).

  I'm curious of anyone thoughts on just disable the failover and forcing them to each core sticking to its switch (and accepting loss of communication) on this vKernel in the event of a switch failure.  I want to do some tests with both laboratory and to test the failover of the switch/path between both of these configurations (compared to a configuration unique vkernel).

  However, some people prefer a 'simpler' configuration if (and I'm not opposed to that).

  What you describe is a process called out incorporation. You have two networks in cascade and try to isolate the answer of a network of the data aggregate od network.

  Incorporation of radiation is quite simple, you simply convert the parameters S T settings, then multiply by the inverse of the network that you want to embeddeur.

  To answer your question directly, you can do simple subtraction in this case to isolate the estimated loss in question back. There are interactions with the input vector and the mismatch of impedance output where the phases dictate how to combine the waves and complex dipping is the process used to accomplish what you describe.

  Hi, I use an ActiveX library of motion ABB to interface with one of their drivers in LabVIEW. However, I get an error when you call a method of installation of the library which reads: "error 66 has been held at the Exception occurred in MintControls5822: feature not available in activex_basic_test.vi [...]» The network connection was closed by peer. " I'm not using the TCP/IP Protocol, so it is something you know with communication of ActiveX that could cause this kind of problem? Or is it a software problem that I need to contact ABB comments?
