  You can not. There is no method to remote turn on/off all the settings on the phone.   If it is not online, it will be not traceable. If you think that it was found by the driver of the bus, go anywhere where they have their 'objects' and see if it is there.

  Any who can force in recovery mode and delete it in iTunes, but as long as it is listed under your iCloud track devices, activation lock remains in effect. If they try to activate and use then erasing device, they can't without your password to iCloud.

  The good news is, since you have find my iPhone, they will not be able to reuse the phone even if they are trying to restore. Unless they know your password, or you have a valid proof of purchase AGFI won't be deleted.

  So if the person who found the phone knows about it, he or she would rather go back because it would be of no use to them.

  I was on vacation and I lost my iPhone 6s (iOS 9.3.1)

  A few hours after I lost it, I used "Find my iPhone" on my iPad: the iPad is connected but not the iPhone, because it was not connected to the internet (no active foreign country so 4G). I have activated the option "lost iPhone" with a message.

  Nothing has happened for 2 days and yesterday I received an email stating that my iPhone was located with a link. But when I tried the link, it says that there is a problem with Google Maps (why they are not with Plans?).

  So I tried "Find my iPhone" on the iPad, and it is then the strange thing began: my iPhone has simply disappeared from the list of devices as if I never had the iPhone! And the 'blocking of activation' with the imei says that the iPhone can be activated with a new user!

  I don't understand how it happened!

  I know that my camera is now lost, but can someone explain it to me please?
