  Good so I bought a PC from amazon.com and it had no windows 7/8 or anything on it like that. so I had to go buy a his bloody a Windows 7 32-bit windows installation disc, cost me £80, I opened and installed the disk and stuff and he mentions a key that I had no idea so I looked around and could not find, so I continued and completely installed because he says later or something like that. Todayhowever I got a notice that I only

  More information needed to help - but no personal information such as your email address. Which is not allowed on the forums. Did you upgrade to windows 8? If so, the key will be in the electronic invoice that you received when you purchased the upgrade. Make copies and keep it somewhere safe. If your new computer came with win 8, you don't need a key. It is already integrated into the bios and your windows is activated at the factory.

  Sorry, but there is no way to retrieve the PID key that was printed on the COA Microsoft sticker. Further, the key that would have been recovered since the failed hard drive now is not the same as that on the sticker. You will need to use the recovery/restoration of HP/Compaq media to install the factory OS on the new hard drive. If you do not have this media, you can be able to demand for HP business support.

By mistake I finished my whole hard drive, which meant that even the recovery folder wiped out formatting. I want to reinstall Windows 8.1 on my laptop, but I don't have my copy of original Windows license key. I bought the laptop to an authorized HP provider, but he says that the company does not provide a repair CD Windows. The license key is not located in the BIOS of the laptop, it is not yet available on any sticker on any external part of the laptop. What can I do to find the key licensing and re - activate my original Windows? Pease guide me.
