  If you are looking for a replacement CD XP, you will need to contact Microsoft support (call) and ask them for you a new CD by mail. Costs about $10 if I remember correctly. Or potentially HP so it was an OEM operating system copy.

  Unfortunately, the serial number is essential to be able to use the software.  Without it you have nothing that links the software for you as an owner... therefore, it is always best to save your software (software).

  The only other thing I can offer is to direct you to information to find your serial number.  If tram you have all that then listed you are probably out of luck in obtaining other assistance in the forums.  Adobe support (chat or by telephone) will be your only hope.

  I had CS 4 Design Premium Student Edition installed on my computer and a cs 5.5 update installed. I reformatted my computer and updated to a more recent operating system. Later, I tried to re - install my software and realized I lost my serial number. I can't install the update to cs 5.5 without using a previous version of CS installed. Does anyone know of a solution to this? I tried to call Adobe and they instructed me to use the chat. I'm still waiting on the cat, but I thought I would post this as I wait to see if anyone has any suggestions or ideas. I'd rather not upgrade to creative cloud again.

  I bought my edition student of Adobe CS Design Premium 5.5 in December 2011 and recently reinstalled my laptop forget out before serial number. I still have the invoice with this purchase "Unimall GmbH" (which does not have its business more and thus couldn t help me) and the box of the product with the code produced on this subject. It s is not possible for me to follow the normal procedure, because I m not a student anymore and, therefore, can´t download a registration certificate.

  (a) what version of Vista are you using?

  (b) who is the manufacturer of the system?

  (c) are you using a disc for windows retail or OEM (manufacturer disk) disk?

  If you have lost the key to series for all Microsoft products, you may need to get in touch with Microsoft Customer Service to generate a new product key providing the CD information. For more information, please follow the link.

  I recently FRIED my Macbook for College with my Adobe Creative Suite of Adobe CS6: web and premium edition. A technician looked and checked that it is not repairable. I have the disk to install my Adobe software yet, but cannot find the serial number and the Adobe ID, I usually buy was under my email assigned to the University... it is no longer active.

  Is it possible to install the software only from the disc without serial number?

  This problem has been resolved by the user.

  As luck would have it, I found a calendar with my old adobe password and was able to retrieve my serial number and get CS6 installed on my new Mac! Thanks to the partners a useful discussion on adobe.com.

• Lost serial number LR2.

  I currently have LR2. I bought the LR6 upgrade for $79. But I can't find my serial number for my LR2 so I can install LR6. I is not through Adobe LR2, so it is not listed under my Adobe account. I think I bought the package of LR2/disk from Best Buy, but I'm not sure. I searched everywhere for the case of LR2, but can't find anywhere. If I'm screwed? Is there anyway to get a serial number, so I can install LR6? If so, how?

  I tried a cat with Adobe, but the agent has ABSOLUTELY NO HELP! In fact, I wonder if she knew a lot about the product at all.

  So, for those who find themselves in a similar situation, here is how I myself am found things. I must admit, this is essentially information found and restored on the internet.

  1 lost my serial number for Lightroom 2

  2. I bought LR2 on DVD at a retailer, not a download, there is no track record on my Adobe account.

  3. Fortunately, because I have not registered the software, I opened my version of LR2, went to 'help' and 'save '. All fields are empty, so I knew that I didn't record it when I bought it originally. So I registered. When registration make sure you use your Adobe ID email address.

  4. After registering my LR2, I went to my Adobe account, and my version of LR2 appeared as well as the serial number.

  HOWEVER... If CS6 has been installed BY an employee of the University, I THINK that you do not actually have the software, and you will not be able to activate the software because you are not the owner and that you do not have the ID of origin used for initial installation and activation
