Unknown Album folder created

I have a problem of nuisance with MP3 Audiobook to be copied to the internal memory of my computer, the last two books which I copied to the device was put in a folder called 'Albums '... unknown Anyone have any idea what causes this and a way to prevent it. When I delete the files in this folder with the computer, the folder no longer appears in the list of audio book

OK, Yes, I wasn't looking to an MP3 file. I have tagged now with success the pesky books that have been tagged properly of the library, and it solved the problem. I guess when this happens again, I will have everything back and mark the files and copy to the Sport. I always mark all the books, if they are already OK.

I was responsible for putting the track numbers as well by an answer from Sandisk when I reported the problem. I just got a quick response to those telling me basically what you said... Who made me do the label on each MP3 file. Is there an easier way to do this?

Thanks for your help.

  • several annoyances "unknown album".

OK, I have the same problem of "unknown album" than some other people here.

I did a search, discovered that the version tag could be a problem - so I tried marking in

    ID3.1

    ID3.2V3 ISO 8859

    ID3.2V4 UTF 8 (and 16)

    (marking using MP3Tag)

No joy with any of them.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    Thank you!

    you wrote:

Since those who don't exist I'll assume that you have entered the wrong.

The only one to use is ID3v2.3 ISO-8859-1. Others won't help him.

You are taking the album OFF the Sansa, he re-marking on your computer and put it back on the Sansa?  With mp3tag, it is sometimes quite difficult to tell which copy of the album you're fixing.

Is the music player on your computer to read the correct labels? Are there foreign characters or non-alphanumeriques characters? Are there any very long comments or art rooted? The fields of Tags (artist, Album, track title) are filled?

Depending on which version you have, you may need to delete the database that indexes the tags. On a v1 - Firmware Version under INFO begins with 1.x - you must delete the DATA folder located in the SYSTEM folder (hidden). On a v2 - Firmware version begins with 3.x - you must remove mtable.sys in the root directory.

  • WMP12 is constantly "retrieving media info for an unknown album", but I do not have strangers albums

For as long as I can remember since I had Windows 7, WMP constantly said "Recovery media info for an unknown album" in the lower status bar. The only time wherever it's never going away when is actively an update of the library. Then once the update is complete, it will return to say "Recovery media info for an unknown album." I had assumed that maybe it was because I had a few albums that had no tags. I recently went through those and manually corrected the tags, so now I don't have any of the unknown artists or albums. Yet I still get the same status all the time. I noticed, though, that if I sort my library by the artist, all the way down it is 'Unknown' with 1 song under the heading 'other '. This can be read and nothing happens when I try to remove it.

I also had problems with sometimes jumps and small pauses in the playback, especially of WMA files. As my computer needs to be powerful enough to play audio files smoothly even in multitasking, I wonder if WMP is constantly trying to update a non-existent album could cause these problems.

I have a large music library (file ~ 18000). I use WMP exclusively because I have a large number of WMA files with DRM licenses and is one of the few players who can handle this. I also use WMP on my computer to play music over the radio show, so it is very important that I get rid of this glitchy reading.

I use Windows 7 64 bit and WMP12 on a computer with processor dual core 2.53 GHZ and 4 GB of RAM. I'd appreciate any help I can get.

    Thank you

    Ben Russo

    Hi Ben,

Trying to play or delete the file in the library nothing results. It seems that the Windows Media Player 12 library database is corrupted.
We recommend that you clear the Windows Media Player database and check the result. To do this, try the following steps:
    a. Click Start, type run, click Run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
    b. Select all files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    c. restart Windows Media Player and check the result.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

For more information, see you can not remove the item from the Windows Media Player library (the steps are also applicable for Windows Media Player 12)

    Hello

ArcSoft is probably either a software that is installed on your pc or something you downloaded for use for a particular reason? When did you first notice the problem? I would have suggested trying a system restore to a time before you were aware of the issue, but the changes you have done already can prevent that. Perhaps, it would be useful that you posted a screenshot of what you see in WMP. (Use the cutting tool to make a copy of wmp screen, save it and then ask it here, using the photo icon second from the right on the toolbar of response)-thank you R.

Try the settings/iCloud and remove the synchronization. Wait a few minutes and then resynchronize.

Have you tried the signature to iCloud and then reconnect?

I got 15 HP r014tx Notebook in which "$RECYCLE." BIN"and"System Volume Information"folder created in each player automatically hidden name. It didn't get deleted if I try to remove it. I use McAfee Anitvirus come with pre-installed with 30-day track.

    rhl_yadav,

It is IMPORTANT that you do not delete these files. They are very important to the operating system.

    Instead, you can hide:

    • Open the Options folder by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, appearance and personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
    • Click the view tab.
    • Under Advanced settings, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" and "Hide protected operating system files ' are not checked, and then click OK.

  • How to remove windows media player does not exist unknown album

Recently, after a new cd and my downloads directory staff moving in my personal music directory, Windows Media Player shows a nonexistent unknown album, that I can't remove.  How can I get rid of him?  There is no actual data or location.  I tried to remove all records of use of WMP, but the unknown album no-while is still there.  I have even uninstalled/reinstalled WMP from Windows 7 functionality, but the unknown album no-while is still there.  In addition, it causes WMP to constantly try to identify, using a lot of my bandwidth of internet connection.  Is this a Bug in WMP?  Or would it be a new computer virus (for me)?
