Lost the STOP button with upgrade for FF9

I can not get the STOP button on the Navigation toolbar since I upgraded to FF9. Where at - it go?

He was a combined button by default at the end of the bar of address for awhile now.

Loading a page it's a stop button, because that's when you can stop it, and once it is loaded it becomes a button reload, because you can then reload the page.

It can be customized by dragging the end of the address bar and to reverse the order buttons, you then get to see two separate buttons:

  • Programming of a conditional FOR the timing of the STOP button on the loops

I have a conditional FOR loop with a STOP button, however, the nature of LabVIEW data flow, the stop button is now being questioned at some point before the end of the loop. A control not having no entry, I can't connect to the last operation of a single iteration of the loop to trigger the vote on the STOP command, and I prefer not to use a flat sequence just for the power button if I can avoid it. I've considered using a structure of the event, but I don't want to force the loop to wait that the stop button to be pressed, I want just the loop to EXIT, * IF * the stop button is pressed... but I want the stop button to be questioned at the end of the loop, so if the user presses the button stop at any time in the loop , at the end of the iteration, the loop will end... that makes sense? At present, given that the stop button is called once at some arbitrary during the iteration of the loop time, if the user presses the stop button after he is questioned, the loop must run an extra iteration, and I don't want that to happen.

... in any case, I guess I'm looking for a more elegant way to implement that having to use a flat sequence just for the stop button.

Sorry, but you'll have to use a sequence structure.  This is why they are there.  Sometimes they have their purposes.  Here is how I would handle it.

  • Is it possible to connect my Application ' Stop' button with the "Run" button of LabVIEW?

Problem - one of my clients recently tested my new LabVIEW application and asked how the arrested LabVIEW application can be restarted without clicking on the "Run" (right arrow) button.

Is possible solution - possible to connect my Application ' Stop' button with the "Run" button of LabVIEW?

    Thank you!

    Barry

The big problem is in your Acquistion to stop audio event. You run the LabVIEW stop sign which is the equivalent of hitting the Cancel button in the toolbar.  (See contextual help on that).  You can stop the acquisition, but you don't want to stop your LabVIEW program.  You need this case in the event your computer to transition state in a sleep mode when you do not make any purchase.  Then hit the purchase button to start again transitions the machine state in the acquisition.

In your case of program output, you want really to leave LabVIEW it.  You want to run and stop commands like closing the com port and one of these activeX references.  Then allow it to stop the while loop.  Turn the LabVIEW out outside the loop so that once everything is cleaned, your application may close.  You probably want to wrap this command in a case structure so that if you are in the execution environment, it leaves your application.  But if you are in the development environment, you don't want to cause your LabVIEW environment stop.  Another thing is that right now, you actually have a race condition in the Exit event.  The com port will close first or LabVIEW will come out.  There is no defined order of execution.

Alternatively, you can have an event to close panel? in this way, you haven't accidentally short circuit all your program by pressing the X key.  You want to capture this event, discard it.  And if you want to not actually closed, did trigger the Exit Program button so that you can gracefully shutdown.

  • Could not find the "stop" button after updating to firefox 8

I've just updated to Firefox 8 and can't find the "stop" button to stop a website from loading if inadvertently, I hit the enter button too soon. I looked under Customize toolbar, but do not see it. Icons, what i've got are back, forward, address bar, Star, down arrow reload, google search bar, blocker for popups and at home.
    Thank you

Firefox 4 and newer versions, go, Stop and reload buttons are combined into a single button at the right end of the toolbar URL or address. The button changes depending on the type of activity:

    • green arrow GB when you type in the address bar
    • Red Stop ("X") button while the page is loading
    • Reload (circular arrow) to gray when the page is finished loading.

    There are separate buttons:

    1. Open the Customize the toolbar by clicking the Firefox button > Option > toolbars OR by clicking View > toolbars > customize if using the menu OR bar right click in an empty space on a toolbar and select Customize
    2. While customizing the window is open, Stop and reload buttons will show separate from the address bar and the search bar
    3. While customizing the window is open, drag the buttons anywhere on the Navigation toolbar
      • order Reload-Stop will bring together into a single button
      • order Stop-Reload will remain in separate keys
      • or drag a "separator" in the window customize between Reload-Stop and that they remain separated
    4. Click done at the bottom right of the window customize to finish

  • Why the STOP button stops not timed loop.

    Hello world

I had a rather complicated code launched against me. I had to change program action unique (and many other things) when ACQUIRING a button has been clicked making timed measurements. I was able to add the time... but I want the loop to stop once you click on the STOP button.

I have attached a very simplified version of my code.

So if you start and press the ACQUIRE the program generates random numbers (to simulate the measure) and records them with a device ID. The program stops once the total is for instance in the default settings after 20 sec.

But it does not stop when you press the STOP button. MY QUESTION: why not?

    FOR INFO:

In my actual code, there are 10 events instead of only 1.

It doesn't have to stop immediately, inbetween iterations (because I already tried to include the timed stop Structure VI and it did not work either).

I also used the execution to highlight, but it did not help me.

Thank you for any help or suggestion!

    Lisa

    Lisa,

First of all, thank you for explaining clearly what your problem and to present a simplified program.

The problem with your program is very simple. The loop inside the structure of the event begins when the acquisition: Mouse Down event occurs, which seems to be what you wanted. The default condition for the case of the event is "front Lock (defer the treatment of the actions of the user) until the end of the occurrence of the event." This is controlled by a checkbox at the bottom of the evetn installation dialog box. What this means is that the stop button is not recognized until AFTER the event is complete.  BUT the case of the event cannot complete until the while loop stops.

The Solution: Move the loop outside the case of the event.  Generally speaking, event must not contain any code that could take more than a few milliseconds to run and certainly should not depend on the user's other actions to complete.

Look at the design of producer/consumer models (events) for advice.  Also learn how to use queues to pass data between loops rather than local variables.

  • I'M TRYING TO IMPLEMENT THE FUNCTION OF PRIVATE BROWSING - I SEEM TO HAVE LOST THE FIREFOX BUTTON. HELP PLEASE

WHEN I OPEN THE FIREFOX BROWSER, I DON'T SEEM TO HAVE THIS ORANGE BAR THAT SAYS FIREFOX AT THE TOP LEFT. I WATCH FILE, EDIT, VIEW, HISTORY, FAVORITES, TOOLS, AND HELP. I WANTED TO TURN ON PRIVATE BROWSING, BUT SEEMS TO HAVE LOST THE FIREFOX BUTTON THAT I NEED TO CLICK ON. THANK YOU, JANE

If you click view, toolbars, then uncheck the 'Menu Bar', you get the Firefox back button?

To turn on private browsing, you can click on the Firefox button, then 'start private browsing' or press Control, Shift, and P keys all at the same time on your keyboard.

Also, make sure that you update with the last 11 Firefox to take advantage of security fixes and stability!

  • How can I place a STOP button on my toolbar. I would like to stop firefox from loading a page by pressing the STOP button, but I can't find it in the toolbar options.

How can I place a STOP button on my toolbar. I would like to stop firefox from loading a page by pressing the STOP button, but I can't find it in the toolbar options.

First of all, if you have the menu bar show. (File-Edit-View-History-Bookmarks-Tools-Help), then you won't see the orange FireFox button because in the new version of FireFox button replaces the menu bar. You can believe that's the way you want by clicking on 'View', then place your cursor over "Toolbars" and check or uncheck menu bar. If you have the display on menu bar, click on 'View' then drag down to "Toolbars", then descend to the right and go to 'customize '; a click on it. Then, when the next screen appears, even if 'Reload' is not displayed on this topic, it appears somewhere upwards in your toolbar. (Mine was above the Google search box). Put your cursor on it and drag-and - drop to the left of your address bar. The "Stop" button should be left more than the button 'recharge' in order to get two separate buttons for these tasks. If the 'Reload' button is further to the left, then you get a single button that performs the tasks at the same time. I hope this helps.

  • How to stop up to generate a waveform of the entire cycle when click on the stop button

    Dear engineer OR,.

I have generated three AO signals to control my scanner and data acquisition. Two ramp signals is to control the galvanometric scanner (x and y). A TTL signal is to trigger the acquisition of data. Whenever I click on stop, the ramp stops every time that it is when the button is clicked, what causes a voltage jump when will resume the program again because the ramp will start in the place original (this jump of fast voltage can damage the galvanometric scanner). Could you please give me some suggestions on how to stop after only a waveform of cycle whol's over? The VI I used is attached. The FLIM control.vi is the main vi include Subvi Galvo control.vi

    Thank you very much!!

    Hello, dgql!

From a point of view purely programming, there are a few ways you could implement this.

    (1) create a conditional stay:

You can add features to the code such that, once you reach the stop button, the code checks the value of your signal before you actually stop the VI. In pseudo-code: "If the signal is > 0 and less than a certain value, stop." Otherwise, keep the control of signal until the value lies in this range. »

    (2) to reset the signal from the ramp at each start of your VI. This may or may not work with your application, depending on whether you must have the previous value of the ramp carried over.

Let me know if these are of no help!

  • off digital IO after press the stop button

see the attached file, digital i/o on one occasion that the vi is executed. This is due to the constant True button is connected to the data row.

How to turn off the digital I/o, once you press the stop button? Any good idea?

    Hello

When the "Stop" is pressed, the while loop to stop and then "clear spot" will run, is between the two that you insert an another 'write' with a fake which are linked.

But maybe you could do that:

  • Why do I get error 1122 to dequeue element loop of consumer when I hit the stop button

When I hit the stop button in the vi, stops of producer loop, the loop of consumer gets an error and stops without having read all the elements and then my status check queue loop will continue to run because he never goes to 0.

    Any help?

    matt198717 wrote:

I think that's what you were talking about.  If you have any advice or pointers for this VI please let me know.

    1. your consumer loop should use the Dequeue elements.

    2. your consumer loop should actually be freeing up the queue in the case.

    3. it is also useless for the polling stations see how many items is stored in the queue.

    4. your wait in the loop of producer should be that when there is no data in the buffer (you have it in the case of bad).

    5. do not use the value of the bytes to the Port reading VISA tell how many bytes to read.  Say you reading VISA to read more bytes that you always expect the message to be.  Let the stop character stop playback.

    6. use a VISA reading just after the initialization of your port to synchronize your messages.

  • Why the STOP button does not stop this vi?

    Hello

I took an example of Labview 2011 called "soul hollow period-Low Freq 1 Ctr.vi. This example vi measures one period, but, I want to measure the period over and over again, so I put it in a WHILE loop, but the STOP button does not stop at the vi.  Instead, I have to use ABORT to stop the vi...

How can I stop this vi?

    Dave

It does not replace the time-out.  The while loop is a separate beast from the meter reading.  You wouldn't want your loop due to always make you miss the error messages, would you?

Usually just clear the error message of time-out on the counters.

You get the message twice because the loop runs in fact twice.  The first time the stop button is read as false as soon as the loop begins.  Then you click on it.  At the same time that it takes 10 seconds for the timeout counter to occur - when he does it gives you the error.  Then, the loop runs again.  This time it reads the key stop as true, because you clicked on it during the timeout of 10 seconds of the last loop.

A time loop allows everything inside to complete execution before the end, then you will have to wait for an another timeout of 10 seconds to occur which produces another error.

Unless you need a measure of very, very low frequencies I set your time-out to a more reasonable number and simply erase the mistake if it matches 200474.
