LR 2.3 sorts incorrectly

I noticed that at times my images not sort correctly. I tried to change the criteria, exit and restart, but it does not help.

I'm on a MacPro 2.66 16 GB RAM OS X 10.5.6.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Unfortunately, the names are too long on the screen and I can't check whether each file is in the right position, but... man, you got batteries!

If say file01 and file03 are in a pile, and file02 is out of battery, so I hope that you realize that they don't "sort correctly" by name of file. Or by the time of capture.

Stacked files are always kept together in their pile, or, in other words, one stack won't be broken in two just to meet the sort order of the entire list. I'm afraid that you have to break your battery if you want the sort order.

Where are the photos appearing out of sequence?  In the album "all the Photos?  That's to be expected - this album will be sorted by the date that you imported photos.

In any other album, you should be able to sort photos by date of capture. CTRL-click the album or smart album and use the command ' sort > keep sorted by > more former/Newest first:

Photo Gallery 2011/2012 does not sort/group thumbnails correctly by date.

When the photos are grouped by year:

In the 'Détails' tab, look at the different dates, and you can see that the "date taken" is recorded in the Solution Explorer. This means that other software can share this information. What is misleading, it is that by default, i.e. "date taken" does not appear by default in Solution Explorer. Just like the keywords tags, you add this column to the screen. It is not clear in the Organizer, where you are shown the different dates in the catalog, but also the dates read from the image files...

  • 5 d Classic - problems with the Date of creation on the files

I use Bridge CS5 v 4.1.0.54 and am having a problem with my 5 d classic, where some of my photos are dated correctly, and then some are dated as 11 hours later. They were all kick the same camera and same lens (no), a few seconds apart. Date information only appear to be incorrect in Bridge and are therefore sorted incorrectly, making it difficult for the workflow. However, I still have the pictures on my camera, so I took the CF card and examine its contents in Windows. In this case, all dates seem to match and be consistent. I posted in other forums, and most have suggested that there is probably a problem with Bridge, ACR, or Photoshop.

I have provided links below for an example of images with different info Date created by bridge and then the correct information of the Date of creation in Windows when you view them on the map see

  • ITunes sorts songs incorrectly

Some of my songs when sorted alphabetically are out of use and are instead sorted by the artist. For example my song called "Rocksteady" by the bloody beatroots is sorted with the B songs despite it starting with an a. even with my song "every little thing she does is magic" by the police. The song is sorted with other songs that start with P despite it starting with a E. Any idea on how to change this? I've just updated to the latest version and it changed nothing.

Right-click on the song and select information. Check if the basic tags are correct, but also check the sort tab. This is whence most of these errors.

  • Photos using the incorrect sort order

The App 'Photos' sort my photos wrong.

    SCREENSHOT 01

    SCREENSHOT 02

The date and time are correct, but the application sorts badly. The video with the bird (capture SCREEN 01) must be below the image with the people (02 SCREEN capture), because I took later.

I don't know how to get it in the right order.

    Could someone help me please?

You import the video later that the photos?  Or you import the videos and the whole phtos?

If you imported the videos while being in a different time zone, Photos will use the time zone where you imported the videos to sort the photos. In this case select the video, then use the command "Set Date and Time" and make sure that the same time zone is used as when importing photos.

Alos, leave the Photos after you crrected date and time.  Sometimes the sort himself corrects only after the relaunch of the Photos.

  • Vista: Explorer of the window incorrectly sort

When using Vista Home Premium, I find that when I try to sort the information, it is not sort them correctly.  The most obvious example is when I ask him to sort a folder by the Date of the taking or editing, it is not to sort the object correctly, I will find new files to the top and clearly apart from other things that are not close enough to the same date.  Because I watch a lot of photos and go through those, I have to be able to find recent photos taken and quickly.  XP never had this problem, so I wonder why it is on Vista?

  • Table incorrect/no sorting

I have a table with 3 columns.  It had been sorted by the first column (number of CR).  Which works very well.

I'm trying now to sort instead of the third column.  Part of the result is shown below.  He refuses to sort, ascending or descending.  I can still settle successfully in the first column.  Why not this one?

It isn't that it is sorting according to a strange rule, its not sort at all by this column.  I disabled sorting by any other column but this.

Right click on the table - sort = ascending - line - only build column is selected.

The entries are copied and pasted so avoid any typo hidden or characters to cause this.  I even redid some of the entries to be sure, but he still refuses to sort by this column.

    Everyone has no idea why?

    Thank you.

    PS FM 11 - Windows 7

    Tabel_Sort.jpg

Additive - after new tests, it is clearly the data itself that FM has a problem with.  The other two columns sort correctly, but it does not sort.

It looks like a bug. I just tested with different scenarios of periods in a numerical sequence. If one of the first two phases (for example, xx.yy.nn.nnn) have different xx and yy values, then FM sorts these elements.

FM seems to be looking for left right and did an alpha sort. It assumes that they are all sorted so the third sequence (for example, xx.yy.zz.nnn - the end of zz) is also the same in all terms, i.e. that it is not beyond the third period to see other terms of "nnn".

  • LR4: Incorrect sort order?

    Hello

yesterday, I saw a problem in LR4 I do not exactly understand: when I do an import of video files from my camera to lightroom via the Import of LR, these files are sorted in the wrong way.

Should be the sort order: Ascending by date (I don't know the exact term I use the German version)

What's happening: all files imported by other software and brought to LR by "synchronize...". "are OK. The date and time of the files imported directly by LR are also OK. But the files are displayed at the beginning of the page and not, as expected, in other files.

What I did to solve this problem (not a good way but works for now): I rename all files "YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_SS-...". "and sort by file name.

Is there a solution for this problem?

    Thank you

    Matthias

Try to 'Change the capture time' without actually modifying the time. Just click on change. Try this with a single file in a first time, I'm not sure it will work.

The following code sorts, but not the sort, I expect or what you are doing the thing about a coming O alphabetically before or after P. In my opinion, the code must sort stadt, vname by clicking on the city column, and name, the VNAME by clicking on the column name, but obviously he disobeys correctly? Allright! So the column index begins with zero don't step one! It was the first.

Secondly, once you have defined your own sorter, you don't want the default behavior of the event to pass by so you will add

    Event.preventDefault ();

    just after myData.refresh (); line.

Give it a shot. should work.

  • In bin content is incorrectly sorted

I'm working on a time very wide stop motion with more than 3,200 images organized in several files. Files are automatically named by the date and time. Some of the images have the same name with a number 2 at the end. For example (10-01-16_12-31-15 and 10-01-16_12-31-15-2)

In windows Explorer, the images are in the right order, with the images-2 after the main. However, when I import the folder locations in first, the program seems to put the 2 images before the main. So when I place of lot on the timeline, the animation is not correct. How can I set the bins to organize media the right way?

That's right, this is how it works first.

    Numbers/symbols disappear before the letters.

Instead of using - 2 use a letter as one.
