LR 4 install not on Mac Book Pro

LR 4 will not install on Mac Book Pro. System requirements have been met. Installer "fails" contact software manufacturer

Go to the Adobe website - www.adobe.com.  Go to the download section and download the trial version of the latest version of Lightroom 4 (4.2).  So which installs OK, then use your serial number of every time that you got 4 LR to activate.

    Some private information, such as your name or e-mail address, can appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

  • Is it possible to install Lightroom 2.0 on a Mac Book Pro running 10.8.5?

    I have a disc for LR 2.0 and I'm trying to install on my Mac Book Pro running 10.8.5.   I tried three times and the installation failed with a message saying to contact the manufacturer.

    I managed to install Lightroom 1.0 disk and it opens but does not allow me to create a new catalog.

    Is this just a failure of compatibility?

    Try to install 2.7 here: Adobe - Lightroom: for Macintosh historically, install a download often worked better than the installation of the CD.

    Just re-installed a fresh copy of Photoshop CS6 on my Mac Book Pro Yosemite and somehow the Adobe Application Manager does not work and so can't check my copy.  What should I do?

    I get a message saying that Adobe Application Manager can be damaged and that I should install a new version of the MAA.  But after downloading a new copy of MAA and makes installation, the program (AAM) will still not installed.  It's like an infinite loop!

    I'm sorry but I'm not on creative cloud.  I'm still on CS6 and it was Adobe Application Manager was not working and I could not install the update to this application.  My AAM version is: 8.0.0160

    The link you provided was the update I wanted to install but it does not work.  A window will appear during the installation that says:

    We encountered the following problems.

    Setup could not initialize.  Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem.

    and then the link to Adobe Support Advisor that leads to a page "Adobe Support Advisor has been abandoned".

    You can have the creative cloud installed and signed in on two computers as long as you don't use it on one at a time. Download and install as you did on the first computer, sign in to your Adobe account on the Adobe using your Adobe ID website, download the desktop app from clouds, then download the software.     Please click on the first " Finder " icon on the dock (toolbar below) on your screen, in the left panel, you will see an option, click on 'Applications' on it.

    Under the present, you should be able to see Lightroom if it is properly installed.
