  You will not be able to get a license for a Mac for that old aversion, at least not through Adobe.  While they allow changes to the platform, it is only for version lstest licensed (CS6 at this time).

  To get a license for your Mac, you can buy CS6.  Unfortunately, the current version is too old to allow the upgrade purchase price.  You also have the option to get a subscription to creative cloud rather than purchase a licensed version.

  On a 2010 model, ISO (or installer USB) is not supported. Can you burn W8.1 to a physical DVD, and try to install using Wizard of BC?
