  Hi all

  I'm working on a Server 2008 domain with XP SP3 clients.  The question is: create a new user, their profile is \\server\profiles\%username% [where %nom user % is their new username!].  Security on the profile folder is set so that the administrators have full access and the user has read & execute, list folder content, read and write access.

  The user is able to login ok there is no problem with roaming profiles [otherwise, they would get a message on with a temporary profile loading] which suggests, but when they disconnect they get a message saying that some files could not be created [it varies], followed by "cannot create a file when that file already exists".

  Any help would be greatly appreciated!

• Unable to create restore point. Vista64. Could not create the scheduled task for the following reason: cannot create a file when that file already exists

  RAID 5 obtained corrupte had to rebuild after that can't create system restore point.   It turns out that task scheduler got corrupted it have several tasks Scheduler said were not available, but are still in the working directory. These tasks especially SR from compensation directory solved the problem and I can now create backup points.

  When I try to use Photoshop filters: Adaptive Grand Angle, Shake Reduction and fluidity. An error pops up saying "cannot create a file when that file already exists".

  Just a detail: the Liquify Filter jump to the top of the error immediately, the error occurs just after I press the 'ok' button to accept the changes.

  I have already tried resetting preferences, tried to reinstall the PS, the PS update, download (and install) the last to my pc drivers.

• Mac Mail will not create a file to import when importing .mbox files

  I've recently moved from an old Mac Pro (2008) a new (end of 2013). Both are running El Capitan (OSX 10.11.2) and the latest version of the mail (9.2). My old machine was old enough, so I skipped using Migration Assistant and performed a clean installation.

  I'm a graphic designer and, in the past, I always saved my emails into folders for each customer. When I finished work, I export it as a .mbox and check it in case I need to reference it later. If I need it later, I use "file > import mailboxes," select "import data since: Apple Mail," find the archived .mbox file and select it. • Missing files when importing files in LR5.2 catalog on OS Mavericks

  Hi, I hope someone may be able to help me.

  I'm running LR5.2 on Mavericks and I find that when I import the content of one of my discs containing 1 TB of images arranged in folders and subfolders, files that many of these images are missing from the catalog, even if they are certainly still on the drive I am importing of.  When the synchronization of the catalogue, or the items it contains, it will say there are thousands of files to synchronize.  When I then sync, it will go through the motions up to 10 minutes, telling me his complete, but at the end of the day, will not import these files.  I have this same drive cataloged in LR4 on my work MacBook Pro under Mountain Lion & all files are visible on this.

  Any ideas what going on?  Could this be a problem of incompatibility with the Mavericks? Or something weird in my settings?  Shoul be I re - install LR?

  Out of curiosity, when you synchronize you show the import dialog box? I noticed the other day that I didn't show the import dialog box when I synchronzied to add folders, Lightroom did not appear to actually add the images. But when I tried again and crossed the import dialog box, it appeared. Wasn't sure if it was the stroke of luck or a bug.

  Since I upgraded to 10 EP, I had a problem with the date when the import format.  I have always used the format yyyy-mm-dd when I import my pictures, and this is the format that I choose when I import using Organizer, but it invariably creates files in the format yyyy-mm-dd.  It becomes tedious to rename folders.  Any advice?

• Why LR5 does not read the CR2 files when importing?

  I just installed LR5 and to my dismay, it gives me an error message that it can't read my player card CF (CR2) files

  Never had a problem with this in the past on LR3, LR4.

  That is what it is?

  LR5 help says I have all the updates.

  UPDATE: the card reader has been connected to a USB port on the back of the machine and I just moved it to a front of the port of the case and it worked fine.

  Go figure.

  My file (for the most part) structure follows this pattern: ~ Pictures/Lightroom/2013/2013-09-30/MyGreatPic.CR2.

  Frequently, when I import from a camera card, LR creates a path such as this real from just a moment ago:

  ... / Lightroom/2013/2013-09-30/2013/2013-09-30/MyGreatPic.CR2.

  IOW, it breeds a redundant "2013" folder in "2013/2013-09-30" and nests and then a folder "" 2013-09-30. redundant in the new "2013" folder ". Please see screen capture.

  I am unable to find an arrangement for this problem under the catalogue... settings or Preferences.

  Feature, bug, normal behavior, operator error? The easiest solution I found is to manually create a folder named '2013-09-30' in the main "2013" outside the LR folder and then select this folder when you import. Move the pictures in the Finder after import, and then re-binder is also possible, but still work. But is it supposed to be automatic, is it not?

  If you already have records of date you want set up as destination of import, then right on "Organize" "in a folder.

  Although I can't help but wonder if it wouldn't be better to define the destination of import to a top-level folder, then let ' organizing: by date of ' do what he does.

  I use a Mac.  I'm unable to click on the box to rename the files and below, I see it says that renaming is disabled.

  Also please select images from the source, then you should be able to check the "rename files"

• Invalid media. Popup cannot create the file' when building

  OK, the background. I am currently using RoboHelp HTML 11.0.3.268, with the latest updates, as I write this, after having updated in RoboHelp HTML 9. (I know people are going to be asked, and I understand, so I am stating as much information to the front to make sure that nobody questions that they own.) My main RoboHelp project breaks down into eight separate subprojects, with a production of CHM and WebHelp HTML files. In addition, my supervisor has had a problem with the HTML files generated by RoboHelp 11 new of visualization in Google Chrome, so I found and added the files RH11 recommended by RoboHelp help (WebHelp in RoboHelp questions versions 10 and 11). Immediately after that, however, I can't generate WebHelp files. As soon as I select between all the WebHelp settings menu, a popup appears that reads "invalid media. Cannot create file', then with the path of the directory to the project page main .htm.  Short of reinstalling RoboHelp HTML, what options do I have to be able to produce a valid set of WebHelp files?

  The fix you point is older than the patch 1 for RoboHelp. He basically invalid subsequent fixes in plots. If you have saved the original files, you can restore your backup. If you do not have a backup, let me know and I'll post a link to the correct version of these files.

• 5 Lightroom cannot copy files when importing catalog of PC

  Try to merge my old catalog of PC in my recent one Mac.

  I put two catalogs, then consolidated the PC catalog and media on an external drive of 3 USB (NTFS) - Catalogue Mac is on an external Firewire (Mac OS Extended journaled) drive. Two separate catalogues have been tested and were working with all accessible media.

  I imported into the catalog from the catalog Mac and previews went well, and any catalog looks fine EXCEPT that almost none of the media has copied across (about 4500 photos worth!) some have, however, no idea why, or why not, in both cases. Received an error message that says that Lightroom was unable to copy some files.

  I have so much manual cleanup, which took days, to do this without pain, I'm pretty empty such a simple thing has not worked.

  Any idea, what could be wrong and how to clean up this mess without having to go through where everything manually again, please?

  The problem sometimes is not the record you think Lightroom is writing the actual file that attempts to write to Lightroom.

  First, confirm, glancing in Lightroom, the destination folder. Do not use where you think it's supposed to be written to.

  Then change the permissions on this folder to WRITE (or read & write, everything he says)
