  So I look like everybody else.  I got a new router and I guess I must have placed a password in my settings a long time ago because when I went back to scan an email, that he was asked to update the web settings so I went to admin and a pop up showed for user name and password for192.168.0.11:443.  I tried many times not knowing what to do and I locked.  I tried to turn off my computer, but the printer asks to enter a PIN as well.  What the devil do I ;-)  I just need to reset it so I can email my papers to work and set up my wireless again... I tried to reset the password by executing the apxchpwd.sql as sys in SQLPLUS but modified past is not being recognized when I try to connect to apex_admin as the admin user.   Do you have updated recently to an earlier version of the APEX by any chance? Are you sure that you run the script apxchpwd.sql APEX 4.2 and not an older version?

  It may seem like a stupid question, but I have seen this problem when you try to change the admin apex password using a script from an earlier version.

  1. what happens when you try to delete the password?

  2. you receive an error message/code?

  3. have you forgot the password?

  The best way to remove the bitlocker password is to follow these steps.

  (a) connect your external hard drive in the computer.

  (b) click Start, click Control Panel.

  (c) while on the Panel, the icon find Bitlocker Drive Encryption , click

  (d) you will see all the partitions on your hard disk and their encryption status, whether encrypted or not.

  (e) on one that is encrypted, you will find an option to turn off bitlocker. Click on it and wait for the machine to decrypt.

  I was able to reset the TPM password with no replacement motherboard.

  Here is a manual that I had followed, its written by James Gallagher.

  Thing that I was missing is marked "BOLD".  And I'll insist on REPEATEDLY, if you're not fast enough, it will ask password. If you are good at pressing repeat - it will make you go to the BIOS configuration where you will be able to restore security.

  ' 1. save smc.bin you support HP at the root of a USB thumb drive "(or save the file to the root of the drive D: HP_TOOLS') - I used a USB key, btw...
  2. turn off the power the laptop
  3 hold the Windows key + up arrow + arrow down and turn on the laptop
  4 let go to the splashscreen HP keys
  5.  Repeatedly press F10 in the screen that appears with "SMC order processed successfully"
  6. This should get you into the BIOS where you must choose 'Reset BIOS to factory default security' and confirm by selecting Yes (duh)
  7 exit the BIOS, saving the changes (duh)
  8. after restarting the laptop, you will see the guest coveted for clear the TPM, which is shown below.
  9. press F1 (again, duh)
  10. Once restarted the laptop, the BIOS password is goners.
  11. feel hunkydory!

  There are a lot of options built into Windows to help you out of this situation:
  • Restart the computer with your Windows repair CD, then use system restore to set Windows in a few days (only works if you have recently changed the password).
  • Log on to your account admin to spare, and then reset the password for your existing account (works only if you set up an alternative admin account).
  • Log in as administrator mode without failure, then reset the password for your existing account (the password is usually empty).
  • Use the password indicator (only works if an indicator was created and if it's good enough to allow you to guess the password)
  • Check your paper files (works only if you threw down the password somewhere)

  RTC battery must be removed for at least 5 minutes. Don't forget to unplug the laptop and remove the main battery and perhaps the HD to get to the battery of the CCF.

  If I bought a used computer, no matter who previously owned the
  first thing I could do with it would be to reinstall the operating
  system itself. You don't know how the computer has been maintained,
  which has been improperly installed, what's missing, what virus and
  There may be spyware, etc. I would not live with someone
  other errors and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc. and I
  would not recommend anyone else to do.
