  In our school district we have 33 Mac Mini Late 2012 running in cache servers 24/7.

  All servers have the same stock, same OSX 10.11.3 configuration loaded, no 3rd party or peripheral extensions connected. 30 servers work very well, but 3 mini 'freeze' intermittently once in a few weeks. It happened because they were purchased. I thought it might happen due to software bugs and memory leaks, but we went from OSX 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11 and the problem still there. I tried to replace and upgrade RAM, reloading software from scratch several times - the problem remains. We ran extensive hardware diagnosis of ASD in AST, both OSX and EFI, a loop for 24 hours - all the tests of transmitted material.

  From time to time the servers stop responding to SSH and remote desktop. When I go to the site and look at the computer - it's running hot to the touch, screen wakes up but watch spinning wheel as when it's stop, keyboard and mouse enter ignored. I have to force it to stop, then it boots fine. I can't find a source of problem looking in the logs, finally the log messages before it "not won" natural look, no error or panic kernal, nothing fancy. Mini Mac just a sort of loop software and never gets. I tried to program computers at the stop for the night to cool down and have a new start every day, but that did not help either.

  On one of the servers 'bad' I erased the HD, installed 10.11.3 clean and Seti@Home to test under load - all cores of CPU and GPU are loaded to 100%, mini gets hot, but it didn't make the problem worse or better - mini seeps into the State "unhooked" with a wheel that rotates once in a 2-3 weeks.

  Someone there had similar question? All suggestions will be welcome. At this point the only solution I see is to replace the logic board, but it costs about $600.

  When you find the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

  These must be run as administrator. If you have only one user account, you are the administrator.

  Run the Console application in one of the following ways:

• MAC mini (late 2012) OS 10.11.6 intermittently has no video. CK of hardware is ok. Computer chimes and the light, no video. Close and wait a while for the most part solves the problem. Monitor is ok.

• Mac Mini Late 2012 restarts randomly

  I use a Mac Mini Late 2012 (standard loadout MD387 except for an upgrade to 8 GB of RAM) as a small home server.

  I would say that it is completely idle about 75% of the day.

  Do you have what specific memory installed?

  If you have the original memory try reinstalling that and see if the problem persists.

  What you want to replicate from El Capitan in Yosemite?

  1. The file containing all the samples stored color of the Apple color picker?
  2. The color picker itself?
  3. Both?

  Question 1 is a simple transfer of a single file.

  1. From the Finder, press shift + cmd + G keys to go to the folder. Copy and paste the following in this dialog box:
     ~/Library/colors
  2. The file has your stored color swatch is: NSColorPanelSwatches.plist
     1. On Yosemite, quit Word, Pages and other applications that use the Apple color chart
     2. Repeat step 1 on your machine of Yosemite
     3. Rename (do not remove) the Yosemite NSColorPanelSwatches.plist existing NSColorPanelSwatches.plist.old
     4. Copy the color swatch file El Capitan in Yosemite file location
  3. Launch the applications that use the color chart to see Apple El Capitan from swatches.

• Unlock the file and folder attribute does not work in LV 2012

  Hello

  I use unlock attribute to unlock a file (defined in the specification to build installer-> settings of the Source file-> file and folder attributes). This Setup program installs the application in Program Files (Win7 x 64) and when the application is started it creates a file in the folder "unlocked". I've used it several times with LV 2011, but it does not work with LV 2012 (the folder is not unlocked)? An example for LV 2012 (without installation) is fixed, the same example works if I build with LV 2011.

• I'm a fool - recovery mode. Tried the sansa.fmt folder, but does not work... Help, please!

  My buddy gave me his sansa used for a Christmas gift.  I loved.  They when I delete his old songs that I deleted the other folders on it as well (pictures, records, etc.)  basically everything except the music files.  Now, when I turn it on, it says "cannot load the main image.  switch to recovery mode.  I browsed the forums and tried to make the sansa.fmt folder (it formatted) but still does not work.  I can't find the stuff I deleted from the Recycle Bin.

  It's Christmas time.  Santa has something cool in his bag, I'm sure.  We will first check the device to version 1.

  When he started upward, you saw just the SanDisk logo with sunburst on the splash screen?  I just want to be sure that your e200 is not a Rhapsody Sansa, because this version has different firmware.  R has a Rhapsody splash screen after the initial one.

  You've seen how to connect in Recovery Mode, Yes?  Start with the e200 decommissioned.  Slide the HOLD switch to the right (orange showing) and hold the button depressed all REC by plugging into the USB port.  It is the easiest method of recovery mode.

  Alternatively, you can start the Recovery Mode if the REC button is held, and the power-menu button is tapped too. In both cases, welcome to the Recovery Mode is displayed.  Either incidentally, the MSD acronym on the screen refers to the "Mass Storage Device", as in MSC mode.

  A few words of caution before going any further.  Recovery mode opens the reserved partitionof the device.  Critical data are stored here.  Do NOT use the Windows format command when this partition is opened, or you will erase these critical data! Only use the sansa.fmt folder trick to tell the e200 himself format automatically.

  Download and Unzip the TWO files of firmware for your Sansa e200v1 here.  It is the 01.02.24, the final version.  Just click on the version you want for your region.  The Sansa Updater link isn't what you need.

  The two files, after him have unzipped, are pp5022.mi4 and BL_SD... ROM (mental block on the name at the moment).

  When you connect the e200 and open a window of Windows Explorer (my computer / computer), you will see a new icon, 16 MB FORMAT.  Double-click this to open reserved partition.  Do not touch the file version.txt in there and don't TRY to use the Windows Format command that appears with a right-click, bad juju.

  Let's go Happy window. Drag the first window to a convenient size, and the other with your firmware files can be placed on the desktop.  Now for the magic!  Simply drag and drop these two firmware files on in the open window that represents the reserved partition.  Cool huh?  Easier to make the ratio of rum and eggnog just right.

  Now, if there are a bunch of gibberish stored on the device, and you want to start with a clean slate, you can tell the e200 to format the primary partition (where music, videos and photos are) automatically.  Click right while in the 16MB FORMAT box and select new folder.  RENAME it sansa.fmtfolder and the Sansa will follow this command after installing the firmware.

  Go to the task bar at the bottom of the screen and click the command remove device or eject the disc.  Again, WIndows like formatting of devices, it of eject you want, do not fit!

  Unplug, and restore your e200!  Slide the HOLD switch to the left.

  Let me know how it goes, since the Bobster has other tricks in the bag.  This one should do the trick.

• Find the folder missing - does not work.  Help, please!

  Someone had this problem?  It drives me crazy.  Any time I rename or move a folder and try to use the option 'Find the missing folder' it does not show one of my hard drives!  It has been like that, through several updates of LR.  I continued to pray that the next version of lightroom would fix this, but so far no luck.

  I hope someone can help me, because I go crazy about it.  So I try to download flash player 10.  It is said that I downloaded successfully, but I get no animation, and on youtube, it tells me that I need the latest version of the flash player.

  I'm under IE 8, my OS is Windows XP with service pack 2.

  I don't know what I'm doing wrong.  I tried the suggestions I have read here, and I don't know how to start IE in safe mode.  I copied the instructions on start, run, iexplore - extoff and that did not work.  When I did, I have the bar at the top of the screen, saying that I had to manage my Add ons, and he never gave me an option to allow it to install.

  I tried going through the Control Panel, uninstall all of my adobe products (reader, flash player, shockwave), and then reinstall them, and it does not work.

  Try the following

  • Download uninstaller for Flash Player from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157_fr
  • Close all browser windows and start the program uninstaller
  • reinstall Flash Player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

  If you use Internet Explorer and Flash Player will still not install, IE start try mode safe as follows and try to install it from there

  Start-> Run-> type iexplore - extoff

• I7 P2416D Dell and Mac Mini Late 2012

  I have Mac Mini end of 2012 running Yosemite 10.10.5 i7. I will buy Dell P2416D monitor and use it at a resolution of 2560 x 1440 via miniDisplayPort (thunderbolt).

  They both will work properly at 2560 x 1440?

  What do you mean by "both"?

  Mini 2012 supports 2560 x 1440 via Thunderbolt port using a cable end mini displayport with the other go to the mini displayport / displayport on the monitor

• Issue of Mac Mini Late 2012 SSD

  I have a Mac Mini with SSD and have updated to El Capitan, and now can't find or use the SSD. I can see it in the system, but it does not appear in public services or storage device... I fear that this could mean that the drive has failed.

• Mac mini started to freeze at sign on and does not sign on.  also has popups to allow access to keychain and other pop-up windows

  Hello, I am not a tech savvy person, so be patient with me.  I bought a mac mini, 5 months ago.  everything has been working great until 2 weeks ago.  kept popups have occurred, including Keychain Access, and many others that I've never heard of.  also, I can not connect, as the color wheel is present constantly, as if the pc is currently journal, although the color wheel rotates forever.  no connection for me.  any suggestions?

  Well, in your particlular case I would recommend take your Mac to the local Apple Store. I guess the computer is still under warrantly, so you'll all be fixed free of charge and save your time and nerves.
