MacBook Finder and LR tags

Hello

I am VERY new to LR.  I got 3 for a long time but life got in the way of learning it.  I'm hoping to move to 6, but before I do, I wanted to know about tags.  I have a fairly large amount of photos and most is tagged in the viewfinder in a way or another.

I hope that my question is quite simple... the labels I allocated on my mbp is stored when they are imported into LR?

Lightroom recognizes photo keywords that adhere to the industry standard IPTC which works through many applications of photo of different companies. Unfortunately, the Finder labels do not use this standard, they have a special format that only works in the Finder (as I know), so labels Finder will not be imported into Lightroom. I don't know one application other than the Finder which recognizes the Finder tags.

I just tried to import an image with a tag Finder in pictures of Apple, and even Photos from Apple will not read the Finder labels. But Apple Photos taking in charge the standard keywords, conversely might work: If you had applied the keywords to your images in photo Apple iPhoto and then exported the images, Lightroom would import these keywords.

Is there a way to search and replace the entire tag in dreamweaver?

I want to take away all of the < span > tags in the document because it is an epub. But some of the <>spans are for the body and some are for another hairstyle, in this case italic. I can go through and just find and replace, but then who would only replace the opening < span > and not closing </span >, leaving a lot of open tags < em > to sift through. There are currently more than 1,500 cases of italic text in the book and I won't have trouble all by hand. What I want to do is to find the particular < span > tag and replace < em > < /em > both the opening and closing.

Here is an example of what I'm trying to do:

    To find:

    < span class = "CharOverride-4" > < / span >

If you use the Search Tag he finds tags opening / closing and replaces them with opening and closing .  Please see my screenshot again.

  • How can I find and replace the xml tags?

Hi, I am using xml in my workflow and want to be able to remove some tags if they contained particular text.

Here is an example of the xml struct...

    < Entry >

    < name > DEFAULT < / name >

    < such > default < / such >

    DEFAULT < address > < / address >

    < / Entry >

I use this initial structure to define paragraph styles to follow when you import the xml data.

This leaves DEFAULT in place everywhere where an entry is not any content of this field.

I want to be able to import my XML and then run a script that deletes tags that include by DEFAULT, - I need to the xml tag to remove not only the text, if I do a normal find and replace will remove only the text not the tags that is causing problems with style. I also want to remove the end of para/return (^ p) that I placed at the end of the line. So it would be the same opening editor mode and removing content, tags + hard back in there, but I want to automate the process...

So I think that's what I'm looking for in each case

    "< name > DEFAULT < / name > ^ p.

and I want to replace it with nothing.

Is this possible in a script (ideally javascript)?

I have a little knowledge of javascript, but don't know how to search for and target this kind of string in indesign...

    using indesign cs5

    Thank you very much

    Hello

Script should do it in two steps:

1 find all occurrences of that is ' > by DEFAULT.<>

2 delete the whole paragraph which is a found_text container.

For example, in this way - JS - (a textFrame filled your text must be selected):

    var mStory = app.selection[0].parentStory;
    app.findTextPreferences =  null;
    app.findTextPreferences.findWhat = ">DEFAULT<";
    var myF = mStory.findText();
    var count = myF.length;
    while (count--)
         myF[count].paragraphs[0].remove();

  • Search find and style of text between HTML tags

Here is an example in indesign. Ive been working with Word, Pages, Openoffice, and it's hard for everyone to submit documents style correctly. We found that the easiest way is to use HTML tags to indicate what gets the title beyond the standard paragraph style.

    < i > < /i > italic

    < b > "BOLD" < /b >

    code < code > < code >

    Code in bold < CODE > < CODE >

    Email or Adresse_web < url > < / url >

I would like to search for ' < url > any character < / url > ' and add a character style to the text between the tags. Its ok if the style is applied to the tags, I can just "< url >" search and replace with white spaces.

The question im hits which is a search for "< url >. "< / url >" returns 0 results. The '. ' is any character from the drop-down list of search next to the text field.

I looked into GREP, but I've not had much luck find an answer CLAIRE using GREP.

Right now what I'm doing is "< url >" search add a character style for the text between the tag found "url" and then when I'm done doing all this, do a quick find and replace "< URL >" and "< / url >. I was wondering if there was a faster way... Any help is very appreciated.

Ah - Peter S. beat me to it! You add a question mark ()(.+) ()(.+?) (tag in the document at the last. (Parentheses are not required - in fact, the parentheses force InDesign in creating unnecessary references, making it less effective GREP. Although in short documents, you won't notice that.

    Setting pop-up Windows Safari

[The following is the user stevejobsfan0123. [I made minor changes to adapt to this presentation.]

Difficulty a few pop ups browser that supported Safari

Common pop - ups include a message saying that the Government has taken over your computer and you pay release (often called "Moneypak"), or a false message saying that your computer has been infected and you need to call a number of tech support (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it to be resolved. First of all, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and that your computer has not been assigned. This "hack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so don't pay not money, call number, or provide personal information. This article will give an overview of the solution to remove the pop-up window.

    Quit Safari

Usually, these pop-ups will not go by clicking 'OK' or 'Cancel '. In addition, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in grey, including the option to leave Safari. You'll probably force quit Safari. To do this, press command + option + ESC, select Safari, press on force quit.

    Relaunch Safari

If you restart Safari, the page will reopen. To avoid this, hold the "Shift" key when opening Safari. This will prevent windows since the last time that Safari was running since the reopening.

It will not work in all cases. The SHIFT key must be maintained at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window is displayed again. In these circumstances, after force quit Safari, turn off Wi - Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then restart Safari normally. He'll try to reload the malicious Web page, but without a connection, it will not be able to. Leave this page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com and try to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet and the page that you entered is displayed rather than the malicious.

  • I can't transfer file via airdrop between the macbook pro and my iphone 6.

    Hello world

just bought a new macbook pro 2015 and I can't transfer file via airdrop between the macbook pro and my iphone 6.

Can someone please help me solve this problem?

    Thank you

First check the steps to run the drop:

Use AirDrop to send the contents of your Mac - Apple Support

There are some work around to try airdrop work:

    1. Turn off Bluetooth on your Mac.
    2. Delete /Library/Preferences/com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    3. Re-turn on Bluetooth

You can find more info here:

If you do not see all of your device, it means that you are affected by the same problem, I have known, since the upgrade to OS X the air drop of Captain does not work.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 - Macbook Pro and Macbook Air does not print

    Products:

    • HP Officejet Pro 8600
    • MacBook Pro (Mac OS X, Version 10.7.5)
    • MacBook Air (OS X, Version 10.8.2)

    Question:

    • Why my Mac initially print fine, but now will not print?

    Full article:

I have a wireless network in my house that consisted of a 30 MB cable internet, Netgear 900n, HP Officejet Pro 8600, 2 laptops from Dell with Windows 7, a laptop Lenovo with Windows 7 and Dell with Windows 7 trick, all printed matter very well.

The HP Officejet 8600 was added to my network about 2 months ago.

I added a Macbook Pro and Macbook Air about 3 weeks ago.  The two Macs printed fine for about a week.  Then suddenly they stop.  I spent about 2 hours on the phone with HP's Service, and finally, they said to my router.  So I called Netgear.  NETGEAR was useless!  They wanted me to accept fees for services before they would even discuss the issue.

As a result of information provided by the HP support service, and because Netgear will not support their product, I quickly bought a new router - an Apple Airport Extreme.

Macs will recognize the printer will print if connected via a USB cable, but do not print wirelessly on the Officejet Pro 8600.  The fine impression CPA.

The frustration that is felt is made up by the fact that Macs printed very well with the Officejet Pro 8600 2 weeks and now the printer shows just "idle"... even with a new router. (see image below)

Please help, thank you very much for all support.

As a side note, the representative of the HP Service was very friendly and definitely tried to support the HP product, which is much more I can say about Netgear.

    Thank you

    Hello

More likely a problem with Multicast, which Apple devices are relies on to communicate with the device through the network.

First try unplugging the router for 30 seconds.

Connect to the power supply and wait 2-3 minutes.

Turn off the HP printer and turn it back on, then check all difference.

If it persists, try to change the configuration of your router as follows

Note: the settings below are not related with the HP product, I provide you with the steps as a best efforts and those based only on my own knowledge. You can try to change the settings of the router at your own risk:

    1. Open the router configuration page (you'll find listed as the default gateway by clicking the icon on the printer wireless, then print a network configuration report.
    2. Click the Advanced tab.
    3. Click the configuration option in the menu, and then click Setup WAN.
    4. Be sure to uncheck the box Disable IGMP proxy transmission and apply the changes.
    5. Click on the LAN configuration on the same Setup menu.
    6. Set the RIP RIP-2 Version and apply the changes.
    7. Restart your router and then check any change.

I hope that you will find useful information, you can also use the guide to the user below for more information:

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy

  • I am looking for an app to download which will find and delete the duplicate on my computer... If anyone can help...

No good on this side of the computer... Computer works more slowly not as sharp as it was, I found a lot of files and duplicate files on it. Not understand or trust myself to remove anything manually.

You might like to try these. Read their comments/user opinions 1-links provided:

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/reviews/CloneSpy/CloneSpy.html

CloneSpy can help you recover hard disk space by detecting and removing duplicate files. It can find files that have the same exact content, regardless of their name, the date, time and location. CloneSpy is also able to search for files that are not identical, but have the same file name, allowing you to find and remove old versions of a file. Once the scan is completed, you can decide what you want to do with the found duplicates, CloneSpy you shows the details for each file (and its duplicate proposed) and allows to keep, move or delete.

    http://www.SnapFiles.com/reviews/duplicate-cleaner/duplicatecleaner.html

Duplicate Cleaner is an easy to use program that helps you find and remove the duplicate computer files. You can search several structures of files at a time and set of criteria to identify duplicates. You can choose to search exact matches using the comparison of CRC or use the file name, size and date as the criterion. The program offers extended support for music files, allowing you to use the tag information ID (artist, title, album) to identify duplicate titles. The results are grouped together in a list and a selection wizard allows you to select quickly the files based on age, the audio quality, location and other aspects.

  • Apple devices will not print not to 6700 Officejet, including the MacBook Pro and iPad

I'm helping someone to implement their MacBook Pro and iPad to print wirelessly on their Officejet 6700. I have recently set them up with a new Apple Airport Extreme for their router. The printer connects to the wireless network. During the installation process of the printer is fine, that the MacBook can easily see the printer. The appropriate driver is installed. They also have a laptop Windows 7, which prints instanteously and has no problem whatsoever.

When I try to print from the Mac, nothing prints. I open the print queue and it says 'Printing - a printer' and nothing ever comes of it. When you try to print from the iPad, you can see the printer and I select. However, after saying in print, said only dialog box: 'Connection to the printer' and he never - it just times out.

    Things I've tried:

    • Everything in this article which corresponds to Macs (10.8).
    • Reset the printing on Mac system.
    • Reset the printer to default settings.
    • The definition of the static IP address of the printer through the printer settings.
    • Setting the IP address of the printer via the Airport utility (after changing the automatic printer).
    • Restart the Mac after each attempt to remove the printer and adding again.
    • Using the official HP Officejet 6700 driver.
    • Use the Airprint driver.

    Other info:

    • Successfully, I can ping IP address of the printer from the MacBook Pro.
    • I can easily see the web page of configuration of the printer in the printer settings both by entering the IP address.
    • The printer is only about a month.
    • They bought this printer because the earlier had problems printing from all of their wireless devices. It is with a previous router in their ISP.

At this point, I'm completely puzzled as to why the printer will print not these Apple devices. We have addressed all the issues that might be causing it: the network, the printer and the MacBook itself. I looked online and can't see any problem with people not being able to print to a wireless printer connected to an Airport Extreme. I saw some problems when the printer is connected via USB to an Airport Extreme, but this isn't our installation program.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Wow, I must admit, I had to do a lot of research to find something that you have not already tried! Thanks for your efforts so far @derick03 I accept the challenge of helping you get this to work.

I have a vague feeling that the problem may have something to do with the router settings and to test my theory, I would like to try something for me.

Please, open the preferences system, printing and scanning, click on the + symbol to add a printer, but this time, instead of the default tab, click the IP tab. Now let's add the printer using HP Jet Direct Protocol instead of the standard Hello.

You can enter the IP address here, choose the HP Jet Direct and then select the printer driver, and then try to print. You will not be able to analyze this way, I just do this for diagnostic purposes. If you can print, it confirms the Hello Protocol is, and you will need to call Apple to make them turn on Hello, multicast and ensure that all the necessary ports are open.

Not all wireless routers take load Hi or all features of Hello. Hello being the default method for the discovery of printers on a network, you must ensure that your wireless router supports Hello.
  • Find and replace it with an invalid Code in Dreamweaver CC 2015

I have a HTML file of 800 line with about 200 H3 tags not closed I want to remove. I try to use search / replace, but it doesn't seem to be able to find non closed tags.

In the excerpt below, I want to remove or delete the H3 tag:

    < /ul >

    < /li >

    < h3 class = "best_SubCategory_Title" id = "455474Title" >

    Best sedan

    < ul class = "ssMatchup_Entries" id = "Matchup455474Entries" >

    < /Li > < li > agreement

    Camry < li > < /li >

    Mazda 6 < /li > < li >

    Passat < li > < /li >

    < /ul >

I tried different ways, but Dreamweaver search / replace engine can't not find invalid or cavities not blocked tags?

Here are a few things that I tried, and as you can see, Dreamweaver cannot find the H3 tag:

    Screen Shot 2016-01-21 at 11.18.39 AM.png

    Screen Shot 2016-01-21 at 11.19.47 AM.png

If I close it manually one of the H3 tags, and then find and replace can find. I think I can use regular expressions to do this, but I need to understand this too, if that's the only way.

What do you think? Any idea on how to get rid of 200 H3 tags not closed? Perhaps another application?

Answered my own question, here is the solution:

For some reason, Dreamweaver cannot find and replace invalid code, or at least it is not easy to do. My problem was that I had a H3 tag not closed and would not replace it. I had to first close the H3 tag, and then I could replace it.

I did a find and replace the one sought a ">" followed by a lot of white space, like this:

As my license to close the H3 tag, then I could easily find and replace all now closed H3 tags, like this:
