MacBook pro auto restart while remaining on

Hi, I have a macbook pro retina mi 2015 and earlier it self restart while I clean.

my laptop is on and I use it, so I want to clean the keyboard by wipping randomly on it, all of a sudden my mbp retina auto restart.

After a reboot without any log in page, shown home more and still it re apps I always use the front...

I check my status diagnostic and it says past... can someone explain to me what is happening? It is still new and I panic

Hi Edberttjang,

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

Don't panic! I see that your Mac restarted unexpected. It can be difficult to explain what is happening without more information, although I have a few resources that can help.

Since you have wiped the keyboard, is it possible that you hit a hotkey to stop, to sleep or restart your Mac? You can find a good list of keyboard shortcuts for the reference to Mac keyboard shortcuts.

When cleaning your Mac, it of a good idea to turn off the computer and unplug power. For more information on cleaning of Apple devices, see cleaning your Apple products.

Just in case your Mac restarts unexpectedly in the future, I recommend referring to this guide -OS X: when spontaneously, your computer restarts or displays 'your computer restarted because of a problem'.

See you soon.

  • MacBook Pro keeps restarting after iPhone updated 9.3.5

Given that I didn't have at least a 50% load, I connected my iPhone 6 s to my MacBook Pro (10.11.6) updated the phone to v. 9.3.5. The phone updated fine, but now my Mac keeps on rebooting over and over again. The display shows the Apple logo and progress bar, but there are thin horizontal red lines across the entire screen. When the progress bar is full, the gray screen runs for about 10 seconds and then restarts, and it does the same thing again. I have absolutely no idea what to do. Can anyone help?

    Hello robbob116,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

If I understand your message that after upgrading your iPhone 6s to iOS 9.3.5 via iTunes on your MacBook Pro, your MacBook Pro now repeatedly restarts. I know how it is important for your MacBook Pro start correctly for you. The first step I would recommend would be to start up your Mac in Mode without failure. The following article explains the use of Safe Mode and the steps that you will need:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

  • MacBook Pro suddenly restart (kernel attack?)

    Hello

I have a Macbook Pro 13. Retina, end of 2013. Is no longer under warranty. I'm running on the OS El Capitan.

My computer guard abruptly shut down and restart. I understand that as an attack on core? It happens usually when I watch a video (Youtube, streaming a movie, etc.). Is it possible for me to solve this problem? Here are the details of the problem:

Now, I don't know if it's happening because of this macbook was good for me and my aunt (perhaps after a mobile phone rate business here in Australia) brought the laptop is supposed to be refurbished (ect)

Now it keeps restarting itself which is annoying, because I'm working on it. I clicked open the report and this is what I got:

  • Blue screen and auto restart while playing songs on Youtube

Original title: I've been on facebook, listen to music on youtube about google chrome and I got a blue screen talking about dumping phyiscal memory then automatic reboot.

Thoughts? Just a general blue screen or something? I did the Windows Memory Diagnostic and he said no problem and no virus of either.

These 2 accidents were caused by the corruption of memory (probably a driver).  Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

    * Don't forget to download any other DMP files (especially those running auditor)

    * If you are overclocking reset all default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!   If you don't know what it means that you're probably not

    1 - Memtest.

    * Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. http://www.memtest.org

    * Boot from the CD and let it run at least 5 or 6 passes.

    * Don't forget, anytime Memtest reports errors, it can be bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

    * Test the sticks individually and if you find a good, test it in all slots.

Any error is indicative of a memory problem.

If a well-known stick fails in a slot of motherboard, it's probably the slot.

    2. Driver Verifier

Using Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition. Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver.

    * But sometimes it will crash and will not tell you the driver.

    * At other times it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.

    * I would suggest that you first back up your data and make sure that you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems.

    * Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).

    * Under Windows 7, you can do a startup repair disk by clicking Start... All programs... Maintenance... Create a system - with Windows Vista repair disc, you need to use your drive installation or from the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu.

    So, here is the procedure:
-Go to start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
-Select 'Create a custom settings (for code developers)' and click 'Next '.
-Select "Select individual settings from the list complete" and click "Next".
-Select the entire document except for "Low resource Simulation" and click "next".
-Select "Select driver names from a list", then click "next".
    * Select all drivers that are NOT supplied by Microsoft and click on "Next".
-On the next page, select "Finish".

    * Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen.

    * Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times. The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers. If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.

    * If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.
    * If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.

Later, when I came back, I opened it and fans began to work hard, that I tried to enter my password, but the keyboard is not responding, so I plugged a keyboard external usb and I have finally started my session, but I noticed an X on my battery indicator and the message "no battery available.

I have notticed that the ALT key on the MacBook pro keyboard, restarts the computer whenever you press it

any idea of what disease? Key on the keyboard is not responding, Alt will restart the mac, fans of strong, cold material work, when I plug the charger in light barely there

I tried disconecting the battery, reset the SMC and PRAM seems impossible due to the alt, restart problem

Why my MacBook Pro not restarting but switches off the power?

To what extent the process of startup you get?

  • Bootcamp 6 on Macbook Pro 2015 does not work

    Hi all

I just bought a 13 "Macbook Pro retina 2015 and I try to use bootcamp version 6 to partition the 512 GB SSD 2 x 250 GB drives and one for Macintosh HD for Windows 10 but bootcamp fails every time.

I start the bootcamp assistant and the first screen's INTRODUCTION that gives just the info about backup etc.

I then select continue and get a second screen asking for the path to the iso file of Windows and what size I want the partitions I divide also (250 GB to 250 GB for Windows and OSX.

I then press install and it takes about 1.5 hours to partition the drive and download the Windows support files - SO FAR SO GOOD.

Macbook Pro then restarts and that's it - I am left with a blank screen and all I can do is, turn off and on.

When I look at the SSD then I see it has been partitioned to 250 GB for OSX and 250 GB for windows but while do I do?

If I restart Boot Camp Assistant it gives me just a button to RESTORE the SSD drive in OSX partition

I tried several times but just keep going in circles...

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you very much

    Mike

1 do you still have the OSXRESERVED partition on your drive?

    2. what version of Windows you are trying to install?

3 Please manually download drivers BC6 and check the Bootcamp.xml for the Version of the product line.

The problem is probably due to the discrete GPU failure. Download gfxCardStatus2.3 and use it to disable the discrete GPU. It is of a temporary workaround until you get your motherboard replaced or buy a newer model.

  • MacBook Pro retina don't stop/restart

I got my macbook pro for a little over a year and I have never had any problems with it. Recently, about a week or two ago, I noticed that I couldn't turn it off or restart. I don't know what caused this problem, because the only thing I did was remove about 50 gigabytes of Doctor Who. I have also noticed that when I was playing Minecraft, once I left the problem Java would remain open and would not disappear until I manually had to shut down my computer. The same observation is for diagnostics of apple. I would like to 'force quit' the program, but it would remain open with the small point below until I had manually restarted my computer. I don't think manually restart it's a good thing for my computer, so I try to do as little as possible. I have reinstall my operating system (I think), but that has not solved the problem. Is there a simple solution for this, or should I bring it to the geniuses of Apple?

You have a Wacom tablet software on your Mac?

  • MacBook Pro 15 "retina early 2013 fair freezing and restarting

    Hello

For some time my Macbook was freezing then after about 5 seconds will start. These accidents are more frequent. A message appears when you restart advising a problem has been encountered and had to reboot the machine. Always receive a panic (which the most recent is copied below).

First I thought maybe that's a problem with the graphics card because this model is an extended warranty (https://www.apple.com/uk/support/macbookpro-videoissues/) and went to Apple genius bar to have tested, in, that happened. Without other hardware faults were detected. Apple had the machine for several days and did not say that it crashed a few times during the tests. They said it would indicate a hardware fault with the logic board but could not guarantee that this has been the cause of the fault or if it has been replaced would solve the problem.

They suggested a clean installation of the operating system that they preformed and said that they did not meet other accidents during the test after installation.

However, shortly after getting home and restore my last backup of the problem began to reproduce.

Any advice on what could be the cause of the problem would be appreciated.

  • MacBook Pro restarts

I'm helping a friend with a 13 "Macbook Pro retina (end of 2012). His computer started rebooting randomly. He goes down and then restarts after a few minutes. She feels more often by watching the video (i.e., ESPN), but this isn't the only time when that happens.

I have access to ASDS and tried to run the ASD appropriate on his computer. It's the same thing. After about 5 minutes the system go down, stay black and restart after a few minutes.

I strongly suspect the memory problems, especially since it happened also when started from an external drive. As the RAM is welded to the map, this would mean that its logic board would need replacement.

Here is the crash report I got after the reboot. Can someone interpret this? It confirms a RAM issue?

so I ve been looking for help and advice how ever these seems to be an unusual problem did not all patches still seems in reality nobody knows! ¿s' some ligth on the question please

You have the MacBookPro6, 2 - the Edsel of Mac. There may be the failure of logic-board that was covered by a recall program that is now complete.

The model was abandoned in February 2011. It is now classified by Apple as a "vintage product." This means that Apple will probably refuse to fix (see exceptions on the linked page.) In this case, you will need to go to an independent service provider. The part can be is no longer available, or the repair may not be profitable.

Often, the problems start after an upgrade of the OS. If the upgrade has been recently, and you have backups, you can then go back to a previous version of OS X.

Otherwise, an appointment of 'Genius' in an Apple Store, or switch to a different service provider authorized, to have the tested machine. The trial will be free to an Apple Store - unless Apple refuses to even look at the unit, as it could. Diagnoses of current equipment used by service providers don't detect the fault. There is a specific test for this number called "VST" (for "video system Test.") Ask for it. A "Failed" result means that the defect is present.

If you decide to go to an independent service provider, be aware that the replacement part may also be faulty. Some owners reported that they went up to three replacement boards before you get one that worked. Don't expect any help from Apple if you have to pay several hundred dollars for an another bad logic board and that the supplier will be replace again.

If you don't want to take that risk, or if you don't like the price you quoted, you may (or may not) be able to work around the problem by disabling automatic switching graphics. To use the separate graphics processor, you will need a third-party utility to manually switch to him.
