Blue screen and auto restart while playing songs on Youtube
Original title: I've been on facebook, listen to music on youtube about google chrome and I got a blue screen talking about dumping phyiscal memory then automatic reboot.
Thoughts? Just a general blue screen or something? I did the Windows Memory Diagnostic and he said no problem and no virus of either.
These 2 accidents were caused by the corruption of memory (probably a driver). Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.
* Don't forget to download any other DMP files (especially those running auditor)
* If you are overclocking reset all default before running these tests.
In other words STOP! If you don't know what it means that you're probably not
1 - Memtest.
* Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. http://www.memtest.org
* Boot from the CD and let it run at least 5 or 6 passes.
* Don't forget, anytime Memtest reports errors, it can be bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.
* Test the sticks individually and if you find a good, test it in all slots.
Any error is indicative of a memory problem.
If a well-known stick fails in a slot of motherboard, it's probably the slot.
2. Driver Verifier
Using Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition. Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver.
* But sometimes it will crash and will not tell you the driver.
* At other times it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.
* I would suggest that you first back up your data and make sure that you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems.
* Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).
* Under Windows 7, you can do a startup repair disk by clicking Start... All programs... Maintenance... Create a system - with Windows Vista repair disc, you need to use your drive installation or from the "Repair your computer" option at the top of the Safe Mode menu.
So, here is the procedure:
-Go to start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
-Select 'Create a custom settings (for code developers)' and click 'Next '.
-Select "Select individual settings from the list complete" and click "Next".
-Select the entire document except for "Low resource Simulation" and click "next".
-Select "Select driver names from a list", then click "next".
* Select all drivers that are NOT supplied by Microsoft and click on "Next".
-On the next page, select "Finish".
* Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen.
* Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times. The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers. If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
* If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.
* If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.

System will not start completely, blue screens and then restart
Well, I need serious help. I have Windows 7 and installed Ubuntu on my XPS M1730. Yesterday my laptop shuts off and when I went to put it back on it would start start and then blue screened and restarted, continuing the cycle. I tried to use the system restore (Gets an error). I also tried to reformat using the Windows Vista disk that came with my laptop. It does not start, it just goes to the screen where I can choose between Windows 7 and Ubuntu. My friend is here and I'm on this laptop, and we wanted to play our game together. So please help quickly (if it is a command line or other) then we can game. Thank you :D
To boot from a DVD, positioned on the BootOrder:
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Blue screen and auto resumes on the coming of hibernation - XP service pack 2
I use XP Service Pack 2. The system enters into automatic hibernation, and when I have one - hibernation ", either by reopening the laptop or presing the power button, the operating system begins to awaken and then I get a blue screen error and he stops and restarts." When I connect, then Windows tells me that the system has recovered from a serious error. It is never used to do this, but now it's whenever it hibernates.
Any advice on how to fix this?

Today, I started my computer as usual worked well. After about 30 minutes of use it has restarted without having to provide me at all. When the computer reboots, it starts as usual, after the XP loading screen, it goes to blackscreen for a second, then a blue screen error message appears, then disappears. The error code given is:
STOP: 0X00000007E (0XC0000005. 0X87F23B2, 0XF793D26C, 0XF793CF68)
I managed to take a picture of him just during one of the reset and got this. Incase you need to see the full message. http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/9268/1image0421.jpg
Initially I thought it was a stick of RAM going bad, so did reinstall each stick etc. to know who does what, and all the sticks started the computer at this point where I get the blue screen. Then maybe this issue is not a RAM? I have NO idea what this error code is... Does anyone have an idea? I did my share of research on the internet and that you have not really found any answers for my situation.
Solved. I put in my XP CD and booted from it, press ENTER for a new installation, then to the next option, press 'R' or a repair installation. After he went on his own thing, its up and running again, and all my files/preferences have been saved too. The only thing that was wiped out was my WINDOWS folder, so I just need to download IE8 and updates for XP etc.

I upgraded my card mother cpu ram and hard drive. I reinstalled windows xp home edition has got all of the updates. After 9 latest updates download and installtion was going well until I rebooted the computer and go to page window showing all the icons that I get a blue screen and the computer restarts its self and does not stop. How can this be corrected?
Hi KevinRy,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!
Unplug all external devices.
Try to start in safe mode. If you can start in safe mode, and then do a system restore to restore the computer to an earlier point in time.
Change the recovery settings to disable automatic reboot, if you are able to boot up to the desktop computer:
1.
Right-click my computerand then click Properties.
2.
Click the Advanced tab.
3.
Under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the Startup and recovery dialog box.
4.
Clear the automatically restart check box, and then click OK many times necessary.
5.
Restart your computer so that the settings take effect.
Now, when you are going to close and a fatal error occurs, you will see at least and it won't cause an automatic restart.
Please reply back with the error message you get because it helps us to resolve the error.
Kind regards
Amal-Microsoft Support.

This way the error message will remain on the screen until the PC is turned off.Know how prevents automatic restarts here:

What is blue screen and what to do and how to fix this with out taking back to factory setting and reinstalling Vista
When a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) the system failure occurs, for most users, there not enough time to fully record what he says. the exact text is important for anyone trying to diagnose what is wrong. You can save time when the error occurs then by following the procedure described below.
If you already did it disable the auto reboot system error. This should help by allowing the time to write the code to Stop error and related information correctly. Select Start, do a right-click on computer select Properties, advanced, system settings startup and recovery, system failure and uncheck the box before automatically restarting. Re-do not enable automatic restart in the event of system failure after obtaining this information, this setting is the best left to not allow an automatic restart.
If the failure occurs during the initialization of the computer, you need to try a different approach. You can access the Advanced Options Menu of Windows on multiple computers by constantly pressing the F8 (key) key when starting and selecting the option - disable automatic restart in case of system error. This method is not always easy to use because it may be difficult to press the F8 key at the right time. Try again if it doesn't work the first time. On some computers, a different key must be used.
Send a copy of your dumpfile as a shared file on your disc of sky with a link here.
