Machine support and Java applet

Is it the Firefox Mobile for Android support the Java machine to run the Java applet? For example, a webmail system using the Java applet. I found a lot of mobile browser does not support. Firefox Mobile is designed to be the same as Firefox Desktop. What Java applet support Firefox Mobile did now?

There is not compatible with Firefox for Android Java plugin, so Java applets will not work.

  • BlackBerry Storm Smartphone Versions and Java Support

    Hi all

    According to the information on the Web on Blackberry storm, they only have one 9530 version. Searching on the forums I could see some people talking about 9500 also, see info here. Now we only have one version now? Please correct my understanding.

    According to the information I have the Blackberry storm is released with Vodafone and Verizon. Vodafone is based GSM and Verizon CDMA based. So I guess that the storm supports both GSM and CDMA.

    It may be a silly question but still I ask. As devices based CDMA based generally Brew, I had a doubt, that where we have two versions of the storm, both supported by Java. As we develop applications using JDE4.7 will work on both versions.

    Please correct my understanding and provide information.

    Best regards

    Sandeep

    Hello

    the storm has two features: 9500 and 9530.
    9530 = 9500 + CDMA

    I use now a 9530 in France, where there is no CDMA. It is then exactly as if I had a 9500.

    Modern BlackBerry devices (with trackball or a touch screen) have an operating system that is made up of Java (and), as well as applications can be developed in Java for BlackBerry. You can find valuable information by clicking on the "DEVELOPERS" link at the top of this page.

    Java applets are not supported by the browser.

    Be careful which JDK you are using for your development.

  • Firefox does support java applets if the "next generation plugin" is disabled via the control panel of the Java plugin.

    I'm still trying to get a definitive answer to this question.
    My applet is not 'Next Generation in line'. When we run our applet in Internet Explorer, it works very well as long as we disable the "next generation Plugin" via the Java plug-in Control Panel. However our applet does not work in Firefox if the cmdlet-the next generation"is disabled.

    It is a requirement that is I want to run an applet in Firefox 3.6.x or higher that the "next generation plugin" be activated via the control panel of the Java plugin.

    The current versions of Firefox (3.6 or later version) can only run Java applets through the next generation plugin.

  • 23 Firefox blocks Java applets

    Java applet signed my company works well sites online. The applet is also designed to be used from CD and other local file systems. However it now works not at all when running locally, for example, a URL like this: file:///D|/fiscd/search2.htm

    The applet tag looks like this:
    < CODE APPLET = fisCD NAME = fisCD WIDTH = 500 HEIGHT = 300 ARCHIVE = "fiscd.jar" MAYSCRIPT > "
    < / APPLET >

    I think it started in Firefox 23 and is perhaps related to this correction:

  • Forms 11 g and Java 7?

    I have installed 11.1.2.1 forms and you want to use the latest Java 7 plugin for IE and Firefox. Can someone tell me what formsweb.cfg parameters should be for Java 7 update 45?

    Before using Java 7 with 11.1.2.1.0 forms, I'll make sure that you use Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) 10.3.6 because this is the only version supported with Java 7 WLS. For more information, refer to the Oracle Certification Matrix for forms 11.1.2.1.0 to http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/oracle-forms-111210certmatrix-1886127.xls.

    If you use WLS 10.3.6, these are the parameters for formsweb.cfg use for Java 7 update 45:

    jpi_download_page =http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/7u45/index.html

    jpi_classid = clsid:CAFEEFAC-0017-0000-0045-ABCDEFFEDCBA

    jpi_codebase =http://java.sun.com/update/1.7.0/jinstall-7-windows-i586.cab#Version=1, 7,0,45

    jpi_mimetype = application/x-Java-applet; YPI-version = 1.7.0_45

    The settings above will require the end-user to install Java 7 update 45.

    If you only want so that end users to use Java 7 update 45 for a single application, put these settings in your configuration in formsweb.cfg section. If you have any applications use Java 7 update 45, place them in the [default] section of formsweb.cfg. If you place them in the [default] section, do not forget to comment parameters four already present YPI pointing to Java 6 Update 12.

    The following article is also helpful with information regarding the use of Java 7 update 45 with forms 11.1.2.1.0: http://pitss.com/us/2013/02/20/how-to-use-java-7-with-oracle-forms-11g-in-an-oracle-supported-environment/

    the Java components are used when you connect from a Linux or Mac device. When you use a PC running Windows with the view Potral, an ActiveX component will push the client to view endpoint and the user there is need of administrator rights to install it.

  • Strategy + Java Applet file permission

    Hello world

    I developed a small Java applet for testing purposes.
    The purpose of the applet is getting data from a MySql database and displays it in a JLabel.
    I use a MySql jdbc layer contained in a Jar file.

    I tested the applet locally via Eclipse and it works fine.
    Then I packed my ".class" files into a Jar file.
    I downloaded the Jar file on the server as well as the jdbc Jar file.

    I tried to launch the applet located on the server of my browser (IE9).
    An error has occurred.
    I analyzed the results in the Java console.
    As a result, the reason for the problem:
    I miss a grant of permission in my policy file.
    The missing line is: permission java.util.PropertyPermission "file.encoding", "read";

    For more information, the policy file is located at: jre7. lib | Security

    I do not want to ask users to my future applet to change their policy file.
    So, I wonder if there is a way to examine a policy file custom during the execution of a Java applet.
    The custom policy file would occur on the same server as the applet is.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    841232 wrote:
    But, at the same time, I encountered another problem.
    My applet does not all packages of the MySQL server.
    I wonder if my two self-signed applets cannot communicate with a remote machine because it is not the machine where the jars.
    I know that the applets of sand in box may not.

    It is also possible that there is no path network around where the applet runs on the MySQL server. (Which in general would be a good thing, because exposing a database server to the Internet can lead to problems of security of the data.)

    Hello, this warning does not firefox but the java plugin itself - please update your plugins.
