  Can anyone please explain to me, why we can't install macOS Sierra on MacBook Pro mid-2009 models and can install it on the MacBook models end 2009? I checked the specifications of these two laptops and they are quite similar, where MBP is faster/more stronger and it's really not any sense that we cannot move to the Sierra.

  -Processor is the same/more fast (both are 45mm Penryn - http://ark.intel.com/compare/40380, 42014)

  -Same/more fast GPU

  -Memory even more

  What material might be different? A tiny chip (part of) the motherboard?

  Am I missing something or Apple made a mistake?

  The previous model lacks some materials needed for execution of Sierra, which was included in the successor model.

  I bought a GPU 7950 HIS Itceq Turbo / 3GB GDDR5. I tried with the Mac Pro early 2009 (10.9.5) and a 4K monitor, but it does not work perfectly.

  The DVI output is good, but the max resolution only 1080 p. If I use with cable MiniDisplay, and view the right side monitor scratches and horizontal 5 seconds noise appears on 60 Hz. The monitor works fine on 30 Hz. I tried SwitchResx app for the best refresh rate, best rate exceeded the 55 Hz, but the horizonte noise not.

  The other problem, the boot music played twice each time, so pluged the DVI. If the MiniDisplay cable was plugged music start playing around and he played with white screen. The only way to start if you connect the cable

  The seller never try it with a 4K monitor, so I do not know is the card works well.

  The 4 K is Acer BX320HK. It works very well with the MacBook Pro late 2013 (10.10.5) with Nvidia GeForce GT 750 M 2048 MB same MiniDisplay-Display cable.

  What version of OSSX on the MacBook Pro? If more Mavericks try upgrade to the same version of OSX, you can do a test on another HDD for testing with installation.

My laptop started to slow down a lot and it lags when I use photoshop or when I'm editing videos, so I thought I should spend my hard drive for an SSD. But I don't really know what SSD to buy it. My friend recommended the Kingston SSD UV400, but I read that some people have complications after installing the SSD on their Macs. I really don't know much about these things, I'm looking for insight. Someone at - it recommendations for SSDS, I should get? I'm looking at a minimum of 480 GB for storage and, ideally, something lasting!

  Currently, the best options are the OCZ ARC-100 series, the 850 series of Samsung (good price on Amazon) and 6G OWCseries. OWC also has tool boxes if you need it and installation tutorials. If you want to keep the HARD drive then you buy one of their media DataDoubler to put the old HDD in the space occupied by the optical drive. It can even include an enclosure for the optical drive.

  How to use an SSD with your HARD drive If you want to use an SSD as boot with your existing HARD disk drive, as the disk 'data', here is what you can do. After installing the SSD, you need to partition and format the SSD using disc utility disc. Then install OS X on the SSD. Once installed OSX boot from SSD. Startup disk preferences to set up the SSD as the boot volume. Open the preferences users and groups. Click the lock and authenticate you. Or CTRL - RIGHT click on your username account list in the sidebar and select Advanced Options in the context menu. You will see a field called "Home dir: ' on the far right, you will see an Edit button. Click on it. In the file dialog box, navigate to the location in house now located on the HARD disk (disk HARD/users/user_name /.) Select the folder, click the Open button. Restart the computer, as shown. When the computer starts, it will now use the home located on the HARD drive folder. Another more technical method involving the Terminal and the alias is discussed in depth here: using OS X with a SSD and HDD - Matt Gemmell configuration. It's my preferred approach because I can choose which records of the House, I want to on the HARD drive and I don't want to.
