Made settings and output module - Windows 7 default file location?

Hi all

Confession: I'm generally confused about render settings and output modules, so forgive me if this question seems stupid.

Issue 1: Where AE stores the default render settings and output module files (I'm on Windows 7)? I want to save a copy of these in the case where I spoil them, but can not find the folder. I think these are files .aom and .ars, but I just upgraded my CC 2014, lost all my custom settings and to save the default values before as I have try to load my various custom files to see if I can recover my settings. When I get *.aom or * .ars, I can't find the settings to 'default' of late in 2013 (I think there is a more recent version somewhere.)

Thanks in advance,

Lori

They are in the same folder as the file of the General preferences and the keyboard shortcuts file. You can open this folder by clicking on the button at the bottom of the Preferences dialog box.

But there is no need to save the default values. If you delete the render settings or output module settings file, After Effects will recreate just the default values.

It is a common problem with how XP displays the items on your screen. When things get a bit bogged down, you'll start to see trails of the window as you drag. Unfortunately, there is no solution, but future versions of Windows do not have this problem with a new rendering of the graphics system.

  • Adobe AE CS3 that Render and output Modules

    OK Buddies

Using Vista 64 with AE CS3

I imported a full project (Audio and video) Premiere CS3 for AE CS3, I added all my Fx and etc, and then I went to return that and tried to do my final AVI, I also installed Lagarith Lossless Codec on my system, but made everything is done with NO AUDIO

then under render I found this article called "Output Module" by default, it has been set to Lossless, I don't know if this refers to the codec lagarith or something else and under the "Audio output" was set to OFF

so I changed the output to Microsoft DV NTSC 48 kHz module

is what it means that I no longer use Lagarith as my codec or lossless it was for audio?

or what is the correct way to set my audio channel ON!

    Thank you

"Lossless" is the name of a model (IE, a collection of pre-made settings) for the output Module in the render queue.

On a Windows system, the "Lossless" model defines the video for Windows (AVI) video format as "Uncompressed" as codec.

There is not a factory pattern for Lagarith, because it is not a standard AVI codec, in the sense of being available in all systems. It is only available once you download it and install it.

You can use the "Lossless" model as starting point, press the button 'Options of Format' in the output Module and replace the Lagarith codec and then record what a new model (just so that you don't have to choose your codec of choice every time, simply choose your model).

By default, the audio output is disabled. Again, you can turn on and save a template, which you can for example name "AVI - with audio Lagarith.

Of course, the Microsoft DV model defines the output module to use the AVI format, with the codec of Microsoft.

As you can see, a codec must not only be installed on your system, but it must also choose the 'Format Options' dialog box.

Usually, I am attaching screenshots to illustrate these things, but I am at home on a Mac laptop, so Video for Windows and/or Lagarith is not available as an option.

  • On 2015 (6.3) bridge output module - Windows 64-bit

I can't load the module output in bridge - I downloaded the ZIP file that is necessary for 6.3 and installed the file/folder, as I have always done (as it reads) when necessary.

I even had the pop-up within Bridge at the opening of this new after the update- but the output module is NOT displayed.

I hope that this is addressed soon!

    Hi Kevan,

Please make sure that you have followed the below the article carefully.

How to install Adobe Output Module in bridge CC

Please copy the folder Adobe Output Module (not the folder AOM_Package_ [OS]) in the 2015 CC bridge Extensions folder to the appropriate location:

    • Windows: C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\Adobe\Bridge CC 2015 Extensions

Then copy the file AdobeOutputModule.workspace into the folder of workspaces under the bridge CC 2015 Extensions folder.

  • AfterEffects CS4 Crash on Output Module Windows Media

After sitting on hold for 02:15 yesterday, I still have to discover humans work support, so I turn to this forum...

I own CS4 Production Premium on an HP Z800 with sp2, XP64 and 16 GB, nvidia quadro fx graphics card 3700.

Since installing several months ago, I was not able to use the rendering in After Effects CS4. When an item is in the record that, in selecting "Output Module", and then selecting "Format" drop-down, as soon as I release the button of the mouse on the "Windows Media" option, AE starts a routine predictable crash.

    crash1.jpg

    crash2.jpg

    crash3.jpg

Whatever the project, it's the same result.

What is remarkable is the fact that I can run Adobe Media Encoder and make perfectly well to this format. But it of a middle man clumsy when I really would - and should be able to encode the project directly from AE, no SOUL. First also renders perfectly in this format as well. Only AE seems to crash upon activation of the Format-> that Windows Media fall down.

I installed the 9.0.2 was last updated. I installed various MS. WME packages I uninstalled and reinstalled several times after all. The last alternative is to abandon the machine for TI guys to set up a new installation of XP64 again.

Sure would be nice if I could talk to a support technician or get help to solve this problem ;-)

Here's a thread that may help:

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/429333

There seems to be some problems with Windows Media presets.

Here's a thread on CS3 that seems to indicate the same thing:

    http://forums.CreativeCOW.NET/thread/2/971962

I found these threads with this research.

BTW, I'm not saying that it is related to this problem, but notes that 64-bit Windows XP is not one of the operating systems that we recommend for After Effects. Here is the Configuration page required.

  • How can I change the default file locations in the dialog box "Save as" in Windows 7 x 64?

I tried all the tips and tricks of WinXP, but they do not seem to work in Win7. Does anyone know how to change the location of the default files for the dialog box "Save as" in Win7?

It seems, in Windows 7, that you cannot change locations by default save as file.

In XP, we could modify the registry or use other methods to change the location of the files that appear on the left margin of the Save as dialog box. But some Morón in Redmond chose to end with good sense and called "libraries."

I really wish Microsoft would stop doing what they think, it's the best for Grandma and little Suzy and give us what expect when we pay for these programs.

    RESOLVED-

OK, so just in case someone else has the issue, the workaround is export of EI directly to the SOUL, do not use the AE render engine.

  • Indexing options and search for Windows 7 are not locate content of the document since "update" Open Office 3.3 3.4 (he worked for 2 years before that)?

I have Win 7 with Service Pack 1. I have "updated my Open Office 3.3 to 3.4 and now Win 7 search and options DO NOT locate my document content indexing more? I contacted the support of Open Office: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=55483

They claim that: "indexing and search in Windows 7 are performed by Windows 7", so there is a problem with Win 7 search and indexing options.

I checked the indexing options in Windows 7 and the "Index Properties and content of the file" is selected for ALL the 'odt' as well as all the files 'o'.

I set up a test document: I put only one word "Wednesday" in the Open Office text document, saved and it called "text". I am looking for Wednesday and the search comes up with two other documents containing the word Wednesday in them, but not the Test document?

I just discovered something. When I did the 'Test' experience above, the file was saved in format 'odt' a:. I changed it to a ".doc" file and it now appears in the search results. As mentioned above, I've changed ALL the files starting with the letter 'o' in Indexing Options > Advanced Options > Types of files to the article: 'properties Index and contents of the file. The description of filter for files 'odt' comes back as: "IFilter shop OpenOffice IFilter" where as 'doc' filter is listed as a: «Filter Microsoft Office» Is it a "Boutique OpenOffice IFilter IFilter: issue" Blocking "the documents appear in the search results? If so, how should I do (I mean in addition to all the documents 'odt' replacing 'doc'?

Just to clarify: document names 'odt' come to a search, but not the content document.

For 5 years, Microsoft made it fairly easy for users of the Windows 7 operating system to get reinstall media. If you have lost your support disc or installation retail collection; either it has been damaged or defective; You can download a copy of the edition that you have licensed from a membership site called Digital River. More recently, Microsoft ended the availability to reinstall media that you can download as a. File ISO in Digital River, which is a digital reproduction of an optical disc.

It was particularly convenient for people who could not easily get the manufacturer's recovery media, did not want to pay the fees required to get or preferred a clean configuration without the software packaged manufacturers or even a recovery partition does not work. It's easy to use, all you had to do was reinstall and reactivate using the product key located on the certificate of authenticity and download all the drivers on the manufacturers website.

Given that this option is no longer available, what are your options? See the article for more details:
