  I use Mail 9.2 in OS X El Capitan.  The problem is an e-mail sender/recipient unwanted but persistent recurring which always forces me to change the e-mail address of the recipient manually.  Here's how it goes:

  I receive emails from x which is sent from the account x now uses exclusively.  Previously, x maintained two accounts of different e-mail and addresses - I deleted the defunct address x info by his Contacts on the PC as well as Contacts also stored in iCloud.  ICloud information contains is no longer the address defunct e-mail, but Contacts on the PC he maintains he is now grayed out, listed under the heading of 'other', and I can't edit/delete it.  Whenever x sent me an email from the email account it uses now the old defunct email address will appear as the sender and if I don't manually change to the correct recipient address - this is if I use 'reply to sender' - the email is only sent on behalf of the deceased.  "Deceased" means the x e-mail account is now no longer in use.

  How this issue can be resolved?  (1) I would completely remove the old e-mail address. (2) when I receive an email from x, I love to show the correct address of the sender; and (3) when I send an email to x, I like that it appears as the recipient's address whoever x uses now.

  Another question: after I went to iCloud to modify the coordinates of x, all my contacts on PC's Contacts have doubled and slept that way, even after disengagement from iCloud, forcing me to manually delete all the duplicates.  Why is this happening and how can it be avoided?

  For the specific problem with a beneficiary, in addition to delete the contact from your Mac, at www.icloud.com and on your PC, I'd also look for delete recent recipients list in your email applications.   Here are the instructions on how to do this on a Mac.   You may need to pick up how to do the same on your PC.  Close the Mail application and restart the computer to refresh after doing this.

• Cannot open the application "Mail" because PowerPC applications are no longer supported

  I work on a MacBook Pro mid 2012

  Intel Core i5 2.5 GHz

  OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

  The Mail app suddenly quit and when I tried to resume, I got this message

  "Cannot open the application"Mail"because the PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

  This also happens with the "Maps" app

  All Mac software are up to date, but "Mail" has been working fine since my last update that was awhile ago.

  If you do a Get Info (command - I) on Mail and Maps applications, what version numbers do you see?

  Try a reboot.

  Make a backup using Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure that data files can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.

  Try to set up another admin user account to see if the same problem persists. If back to my Mac is enabled in system preferences, the guest account will not work. The intention is to see if it is specific to an account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

  Isolate a problem by using a different user account

  If the problem is still there, try to start safe mode using your usual account.  Disconnect all devices except those necessary for the test. Shut down the computer and then put it up after a 10 second wait. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the SHIFT key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. Startup is considerably slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a check for directory and disables all start-up and connection, among other things. When you restart normally, the initial restart may be slower than normal. If the system is operating normally, there may be 3rd party applications that pose a problem. Try to delete/disable the third-party applications after a reboot using the UN-Installer. For each disable/remove, you need to restart if you do them all at once.

  You can try to put two fingers share the screen, you want a larger font, then spread them. Which should increase the size of text and graphics.

  Followed the instructions and still does not work.  Wanted to try TLS with the outgoing SMTP server but TLS option is not available.  (I had the similar problem with my email Android phone application, I have to use TLS to retrieve messages from iCloud to work.)  "But, TLS is not available on Windows 8 Mail app.)"

  I had the same problem, but I just fixed it:

  At first, I think that you don't need the iCloud-Panel. Just enter server from Apple as described here, information in settings--> account of your mail app: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864

  After that, your inbox should already work! But in my Situation, I was not able to send mails from my Apple-Mail account. To resolve this problem, I played a bit with the boxes about Athentification settings:

  The first area after the Mail-Server address out as something like "Server requires SSL" must be unchecked (!)

  The second area referred to as something like 'Server requires athentification' you have to check (!)

  After that, your Apple account should work in the application Mail in Windows 8!

  You should be able to change the address 'from', which changes the outgoing mail server, on any outgoing e-mail.

  Once you tap the forward or reply, tap on the address "from". Tap it again, and a list of all configured e-mail addresses should appear with a check mark next to "selected". Change to any email address you want your message 'from '.

  Each account has its own outgoing mail server. Addresses gmail will use the outgoing Gmail server, and iCloud addresses will use the server outgoing from iCloud.

  What you see in Photos (and other applications of the photo) is a miniature of the real image.

  in Photos, select the photo you want to send an e-mail, and then CTL + click on it and select "show in Finder". In Finder CTL + click the picture and select SHARE, then send an email.

  b it is locked, unlock it by selecting ' lock the taskbar"(it should be disabled).

  It is not at all what you mean by the 'toolbar '.   You use Windows Mail in Vista?  If so, you can search the *.eml try to locate emails (see www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#wm for background), but you will need to provide more information, because it is not clear if you do not see the files or toolbars in WinMail (try to view |) Page layout) or if your all start menu disappeared.  You can also try a system restore, but it seems that you should also check for viruses and malware, according to your description.

• Mail and gmail don't agree in the Sierra, once again.

  I had resolved all the gmail against messaging problems in El Capitan, but after upgrading to Sierra problems are back.

  When I write and send an e-mail message, I find myself with a project in gmail attached to the messages thread which is waiting, despite having sent in Mail. The message is sent, but it remains as a draft in gmail. If I delete those, I'm deleting my copy of the message sent in gmail, but if I send them from gmail I'll send the same e-mail twice.

  I am currently configuring my iCloud account to work with the default Windows 10 calendar, Mail, people, etc. applications, however, when I created the account, it says the following:

  Calendar - "can't get calendars.

  Mail - "can't get mail.

  People - "cannot get contacts."

  I understand that you are having problems with the column width of mailbox remaining the same size when you close the Mail application window. I use the Mail app all the time so I can understand your concern. We will be that we can do.

  Since this problem occurs in your main user account, please start the Mac in safe mode, connect as user principal and then add to your account e-mail and then test it. Once you have tested out, just restart your computer to find your main office.

  Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning
