Mail blocks of Time machine?

On my MAC AIR s/n CO2M71MSF6T6 with Sierra 10.12 I run TC s/n C86RG0LYF9H5 2 TB. TC is connected to POS. 3 GB, Ethernet, LAN. My main activity is with opening. I have recharge frequently old Versions of Aperture. Sometimes I can't receive mail. A message can not mail sende ends up in my scrap basket. A Second user on my time Capsule reports sometimes statements of another user (my own only). My Installation is correct? My cable provider Com needs to do something? Who is causing trouble?

Cordially tropi

If the TC is connected to the router main modem provided by your ISP... and mode bridge... as it should be for this configuration... but your computer is connected to the wifi of the main router instead of the TC, it can fail in a number of ways. There may be some drop in and out.

Sierra is the typical Apple Pie half baked... with a lot of network problems particularly identified with the TC.

I reset the TC factory and remake its airport utility configuration in the BONE of the Sierra.

If it is filled, so try and keep a static IP address either directly in the TC on its internet tab or via your main router dhcp reservation... you will need your manual for how to do this.

If it worked ok before Sierra and has become problematic since... You see where the problem lies.

  • E-mail restoration with time machine

    Goodday!

I have a problem with the email backups in Time Machine. Maybe someone can help me?

Using iMac 21.5 OS X El Capitan 10.11.3.

For more than a year I do (automatic) backups with Time Machine on an external drive. Works perfectly, the time that I needed.

I now wanted to look for an older email. Open the Machine from the time to Mail in my Inbox, but all the backups that I can scroll to have an empty Inbox...!

Only the last screen shows my present e-mails in the Inbox, but all other screens even since the last backup, see the empty Inbox.

Read on the internet that more people suffer from the same problem.

Someone has any idea how to solve this problem?

    Thank you!

  • Import mail backup from time machine

    Hello world

Performed a 'clean' installation when replace my HD with a new SSD. Upgrade to El Capitan and all my apps are fees/updated downloads to date. I copied on my own top Documents folder manually. Now, I need to make my registered e-mail records the new image. At least part of the problem is that I don't see the folder library users during the backup Time Machine.

Any advice? All I want now is the TM saved email from the mail.

See you soon! Thanks for any help on this one - so far the only problem I not ben couldn't solve after install the own.

Launch of Mail. Detection of a Database Mail is empty, it will provide an option to import e-mail messages from your Time Machine backup. If you have refused this option already, select in the menu file of mail > import mailboxes...

Alternatively, "enter Time Machine" of Mail, and restore your lack of Time Machine messages.

  • Problem with mail from a Time Machine backup

    Hello

After I restored my wife with Time Machine MBP, it tried to start "Mail" and she gets a message:

    «Mail must import your messages (etc.)...» »

So when I click on 'continue' it shows a # 52 847 ridiculously high message and he gets up to 981 photos and videos, then she stays there for hours. If I cancel, next time I try, it happens to 980, then next time 979 and so on, leaving fall 1 number every time and it hangs still for hours, until I turn it off.

If I try to restore messaging of the backup, I get a message:

"Mail can not be changed or deleted because it is required by Mac OS x."

So essentially, she cannot open her e-mail software.

What can I do to get the operational e-mail program?

    Well, problem solved.

I did a reinstall TM on a backup earlier and got the same result with mail, so I just him to run the import as long as she could.

    Problem disappeared.

    Thanks in any case

With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. I installed an SSD hard drive 120 GB in my Mac Mini. I formatted and installed El Capitan in this SSD, then I'll just install my apps in there. All of my documents will remain in the original of the Mini hard drive. This is why I am asking how to transfer all my files from mail and messages, all my calendar events and all my Contacts on the new drive. I tried to use my Time Machine backup, but I don't know how. Is there an easy way to do this?

  • You want to restore only lost Apple Time Machine Mail. Is this possible without full system restore?

I have an iMac with OS X (El Capitan).  I had to delete my email account in System Preferences due to a problem with my email provider.  Set up a new account.  Noticed that all my Inbox subfolders have been maintained, but kept in the Inbox emails have been deleted.  Thought that I have may be able to restore from a Time Machine backup, but don't want to do a complete restore of the system.  Is it possible to isolate and restore only Apple Mail?

    Yes.

  • Messaging software - gives a unique Time Machine e-mail folder?

Hi, recently, I accidentally deleted a folder in e-mail software and apparently lost all the content and the folder itself. Can I retrieve an e-mail folder unique to Time Machine, and if so, please can someone tell me how?

    Thank you.

Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select Library/Mail/V2.  Enter the time Machine and restore the deleted folder.

  • Time Machine restore Mail (or fact)?

Yesterday I restored my iPhone from a backup to iCloud and, despite my preference for deletion delete messages on 'Never' (Yes, I know that Apple always deletes them after a month), iPhone restored with the preference set to "1 week". This preference then synced to iCloud, and I have now lost is the last three weeks of deleted messages on all my devices (grrr).

I'm trying to get back them on my iMac to Time Machine. I opened the Mail and selected the "Trash - iCloud ' record went to Time Machine. The mail window says "click on restore to recover your trash in iCloud. I chose a moment before I have restored the iPhone and clicked on restore and everything went back to normal pace, but I could see from the window of the e-mail activity that he was downloading nearly 6, 000 messages (!) Why must download 6 000 messages to restore the trash of my last month - that is not more than a few hundred - I don't know, but I had other things to do I let it blow away.

I checked periodically and it was still blowing. Then I came back and the download was complete and nothing had changed! My trash to iCloud goes back more than a week.

Where are these 5 000 + messages that I just waited a hour? Did I miss something?

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve =: ^)

When you use Time Machine to restore e-mail messages, they are placed in a separate folder named recovered E-mail (or something like that). Look in the sidebar where are all your other mailboxes.

To restore deleted messages, you should be pointing out the mailbox you want TM to restore, not the trash.

  • Recover mail - Time Machine dates in gray

Following a successful by Apple repair, my MacBook Pro with El Capitan is now rebuilt and everything works, including mail.

I used to have a number of files that I used to store mail offline (family, finance, service provider, leisure, etc.)

I have a Time Machine disk that contains data. I tried to recover by holding the Option key and selecting the right disc, but I can not go far enough - he reached on a date with a red line against it on the right side in Time Machine, but all the above dates that are grayed out (page are in gray), although I can see the date. Clicking on it does nothing.

    The disk in the Finder, I can see the files throughout the library > Mail > V2 > mailboxes > {various .mbox files}

Given that I can see / copy, is there any way I can get them in office on the MBP please?

    Thank you

    Bob

In Time machine the last date that is not grayed out: go to the folder 'up', the one you are in, may be still another level above, then go further back in time. then go 'down' in the folder and again until you find the records you are looking for.

Problem solved more or less. I got the player plugged into the Thunderbolt port using a firewire adapter crush. When I went to the right Firewire 800, it works fine. To the best of my recollection it used to work with two connections. In any case it works fine now and don't know why it won't work perfectly with the Thunderbolt connection

  • Time machine won't back up e-mail

My problem is that the e-mail messages in the e-mail on my iMac iCloud account are not saved to Time Machine. This seems to go back to the upgrade of the El Capitan.

I have four IMAP accounts in Mail (ICloud, Btinternet, Google and Yahoo), which works very much like email accounts. However, in Time machine only the last three save. Shows mailbox to iCloud in the sidebar on the left, but without display of messages; messages to display to the other three mailboxes and can be recovered.

I rebuilt, reindexed and removed/re-added, all mailboxes, but nothing changes.

After reading (and following) advice, I wonder if the problem is in my V2 and V3 files. The three mailboxes that upward are in V3, but on behalf of Apple stubbornly remains in V2 which I thought should now, in El Capitan, be redundant:

However, it is at the limit of my understanding. I remember I had a struggle during the installation of El Capitan initially regarding the mailboxes in the process of disappearance but eventually got mail works again and thought more about it. I don't check if messages have been backed up.

I have not all messages stored to preserve or migrate. Let me just messages to be saved on TM from this time, as they used to be. It is not a huge problem for me and I'm not ready to go to the lengths of resettlement El Capitan, but if there is something relatively simple, that I can do to make things work again, I'd be glad of any help.

Try this. Open mail (application) on your computer and you see all your emails. Then, open the time machine. It will open in the mail. You can scroll to the emails you want. From here you can download or get what you want. Go to the dates etc you want and recover

  • How to restore mail using Time Machine data

Sunday my iMac that runs 10.8.5, had problems with Apple Mail. Email correctly loaded at 7:30 and was fine, but at 6:30 I opened the program to retrieve e-mail. The program crashed. I restarted the program and it quickly crashed again. After a 3rd reboot it crashed again. I restarted the iMac and when I tried to start the Mail, he acted as I've been setting up Apple Mail for the first time, wanting my e-mail address and password.

I thought there is a data file that creates that so corrupted Mail, you can go back in time Machine and restore it. OSX does not allow me to change the Mail or restore from Time Machine, it gives me an error message that Mail is part of the OSX system and cannot be changed.  I have 5 email accounts that keeps track of the mail and so far it has only one account setup. I would like to restore all the email accounts to backup Saturday night before all this started.

Is there a way to do this? Any thoughts on this is appreciated.

    John boubacar diallo

Make a backup, preferably 2 backups on 2 separate drives.

    Quit the application.

In Finder and hold the option/alt key while clicking on the menu item Go. Select the library. Then go to the Mail folder. Enter Time Machine and restore this file.

If this does not work, there are additional e-mail folders in Library/Application Support, covers and containers.
