Mailto links not working not

I am running version 7.0.1; but I think that this problem has manifested itself when I upgraded to 6.0. When I click on a hyperlink that is supposed to open a dialog box send nothing happens.

There must be a set of e-mail client in order to see no effect if you select shipping.

Please first make sure that this part is correct and it is the mail program by default as the set of the operating system and setting Mailto in tools > Options > Applications.

Other parameters that can interfere are prefs to mail that you can check on the subject: config page and a possible corruption of the mimeTypes.rdf file in the profile folder.

    Guys, yet another bug.

    I've implemented the mailto command in the click event:

    window.open ("mailto:[email protected]", "_self");

    It works on my local disk, but when I publish it to the server it does not at all.

    Any ideas?

    Hi again,

    Well, it doesn't seem to be a problem of Animate, because he works for Darrell and me in this thread. I don't remember the previous posts with this problem, so I guess that's not a common.

    Have you tried a google search for "mailto links not working do not? I get quite a few hits for that--maybe useful for you information there somewhere. Also try it on other systems if you can.

  • Why file > Send link not working? Even do a right click on my mouse does not work. Is there any solution for this?

    Why can I no longer send links to Web sites? By clicking on file > Send link does not work or right clicking on the mouse. Both worked before Firefox 6. I can also send emails to sites that don't specify their address, but to say "send an e-mail, click here. Everything works well in Chrome and Safari, but not in Firefox.

    Could you check if your setting for mailto links has been deleted or become associated with an e-mail client that does not exist? Here's how:

    Firefox > Preferences > Applications

    In the search box at the top of the list, type or paste mailto and make a pause so that the list is filtered.

    If change the dropdown to the right column does not improve things (sometimes go to another provider, which, to return and put back OKing won't work), you may need to reset your application preferences. • Setting IE/Live Hotmail as default mail client, so it responds to a click on a mailto link: link and not Outlook Express

    It is actually in two parts/problems; Maybe (probably) closely related.
    ... And it's weird because it used to work (weird especially when it comes to problem no. 1 b).

    Problem # 1
    When I click on an e-mail address embedded (a mailto link :) in some (.doc .rtf, .html, etc.) I opened, I want to have the system open IE, connect me to my Windows Live Hotmail (http://mail.live.com/...) account and open the new page/screen e-mail message.) He used to do this. I have somehow messed up things upwards; How I know not (duh). Instead, it will now fire a new Message Outlook Express 6.0 dialog box.

    (1) I'm under Win XP Pro SP3 with all the critical updates installed.

    (2) I have a hotmail.com account and the system has my saved credentials.

    (3) I have Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail is installed.

    (4) I have Windows Live Messenger is set up (under the menu item Tools/Options/Connection tab) with:
    a. "automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I connect Windows' checked
    b. "'Main window open Windows Live Messenger to Windows Live Messenger startup' UNchecked '.
    c. "automatically open a session when connected to the Internet" checked

    (5) I have Windows Live Mail set up (the tab Tools/Options/connections point menu - sign in to Windows Live services section) to "Stop signing In" - i.e. the "Sign In" button is enabled and the 'Stop Signing In' button is disabled (because it is already selected)

    This configuration (4 & 5) is so when I right click on the Windows Live Messenger icon in the system Notification bar and select 'Mail box' in the menu contextual, Messenger opens IE to my Hotmail Live (http://mail.live.com/...) account, sign me and puts me in my Inbox as opposed to the opening of the Live Mail client. No problem, it's what I want. The only time where I use the client Live Mail is when I have to compose an e-mail with pictures incorporated into the body of the message (which is rare), and then I manually start it (Live Mail). This can be done using IE/Live Hotmail; I can only attach photos there, not incorporated the. That's how my system was config support when you click on a mailto link: link would open up IE/Live Hotmail and not Outlook Express.

    In addition,

    (6) I have:
    a. under the radio button "Use my current e-mail program" Set Program Access and Defaults/Custom is selected and have the box "enable access to this program" UNchecked for Outlook Express (I also tried uncheck the 'enable...) "for Windows Live Mail - no change.

    I then tried...
    (b) in "Add/Remove Windows components" untick the Outlook Express check box. I then let XP run installation and rebooted.

    The reason why I did 6 b is to see what tracks if Outlook Express is not installed.
    Now, where is start to get weird and brings me to...

    Problem no. 1 b
    Outlook Express 6.0 (OE6.0) be uninstall under XP Pro/SP3 and if so, how?

    After step 6 b restarts, I open a file with a link to e-mail built in, clicked on it and now it opens nevertheless OE6.0
    So I open Win Explorer and of course the folder as c:\programs\outlook Express is still there and complete with all files .dll, .exe, etc..
    Now I'm really scratching my head! I know I said XP installation does not install Outlook Express.

    So now I decide to play with fire...
    I open the upward Task Manager to see which runs when the new Message of OE6.0 dialog box is in place (this is msimn.exe)
    So just to smile and laugh, I msimn.exe and rename it to Xmsimn.exe, go back in the file with the link, click on it and what's going on, you guessed it, OE6.0 is running! I switch back to Win Explorer, and the renamed file is still there, but now IS msimn.exe BAAAACK!

    Now, here's where it comes down right spoooooky. I created a new folder in C:\Programs\Outlook Express, all of the files selected in the C:\Programs\Outlook Express and drop them in the new folder. And then looking at the contents of the Outlook Express folder in the right pane (which is now empty other than the new folder), one by one, all the files OE re - APPEAR in the OE folder.
    WHAT IS PAST WITH IT!

    All the files that I moved to the new folder are still there, including the renowned Xmsimn.exe.
    It is as if the system will not let you remove the OE components and withdrew them a .cab file, somewhere, even if I said do not install Outlook Express!

    Now, this problem is really secondary to # 1 has. I don't really need the answer, he just freaks me the system is something like this and I would like to know how and why of it. I use any OE 6.0, it's just take disk space.
    (I even uninstalled my installation of MS Office Outlook)

    And I don't like how # 1a is resolved. I am quite able to pull the top of RegEdt32 or what is needed to fix it (after backup the registry and/or a restore point first, of course.)

    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Well, I found the answer to problem # 1 to myself.
    Somehow the IE Tools/Internet Options/programs Internet/tab setting programs section e-mail field has NOT been defined. It was empty.
    I put it to "Windows Live Hotmail" and BINGO! Click on an embedded mailto: link and pops up a new IE window connected to my Hotmail account, open electronic 'Composer the Message' page with the To: field with the link I clicked on.

    Now if only one of you gurus out there can answer problem # 1 b (can Outlook Express 6.0 (OE6.0) be uninstall under XP Pro/SP3 and if so, how? -see my OP) I'll be in sleep with nightmares of moved files reappear magically in an empty folder!

  • Captivate 9 - mailto: links appear not to if the text box contains the variable (HTML 5)

    Hello

    If I create a link mailto: link using text that contains a variable, it is not displayed in the output HTML 5. The text is there, and the link works, it is not visible.

    Here is the slide in Captivate:

    Image 023.png

    If the slide is out 8 lines - 2 of each set of 4 should be links. The first are web links, the second are mailto: links.

    The result in a browser is:

    Image 024.png

    As you can see the link with the variable email is not displayed. Did the same thing on the iPad:

    File 21-10-2015, 11 56 37.png

    The link is there however, you can click in the box, it takes in the browser (or typing on the ipad) and a new email is created.

    Check if the source says:

    Anyone get this problem or knows how to fix?

    I think I must be missing something obvious? For any help or suggestions appreciated.

    It is a new installation of Captivate 9 - no preferences changed or the custom template used. Just a new project.

  • Mailto: Link does not

    Hi, I created a PDF file with a link mailto: link. When I click on this link in V11 player he does not start an email. However, when my business partner click the mailto: bind it works. We use the two V11, we both run Windows 7, and we both use Thunderbird. The only difference is that it is based in the United Kingdom and I am in the United States. Can someone please help me understand why this doesn't work is maybe not for me? Thank you very much.

    Hi all - number set - I knew that it had to be something with my windows given that it was the only variable - I went to start > default programs > set access and computer program defaults > custom falling down. Then I enabled access to Thunderbird under the default e-mail program option.

    I can now hit the mailto: link and he launched Thunderbird.

    Thank you for helping me to identify the problem.

  • Firefox version 12 application MAILTO doesn't work do not

    Applications of FF12 using the "MAILTO" does not

    My application is supposed to generate an e-mail message and put it in the Outbox. Version 12 Firefox stops with a Google search page with the MAILTO info in the search field. FF and TB are default

    This application has since worked on version 3 ff.

    No other changes have been made to my PC, two except version 12 of loading. Go back to version 11 and I have no problem.

    Perform a Google search, I see that applications using the option "MAILTO" is a big problem with Firefox version 12. See http://boardreader.com/thread/Firefox_and_Email_problem_9rc6X2c9zx.html as well as others.

    I reload the version 11 and I have no problem.

    I use Avast AIS (including malware/firewall software) on a PC & MSN MSE on another (windows 7 64) (both have the same problem)

  • Links not working not

    Links not working not not in Mail, Safari. Both freeze.

    Having the same problem with my air of iPad 2 since the upgrade to iOS 9.3 yesterday.

  • I want to mailto: links to open my GMail compose e-mail form... NOT windows mail.

    I tried make all the good setup but still get the windows mail compose electronic form when opening mailto: links in all my browsers. and I can't appoint Gmail as the default for opening mailto: links in the installation of Windows Vista default programs.
    What can I do?

    mailto URL can cause e-mail clients open.  They cannot induce access to a web-accessible online mail service.  Why not create an account gmail in Windows Mail and then your mailto URL will cause a new window message whose sending address is your gmail address?

  • Navigation tutorial beaten Bayside links not working not

    This tutorial and all the files it are here: How to make a site Web Part 7, use media queries and attach a style sheet. Adobe Dreamweaver tutorials CC

    I noticed that, after that I added the media queries and made a layout with two columns the a href links stopped working in the navigation bar on my index page. They continue to work on other sites page. This is confusing, since two pages use the same style sheet and have the DOM with the same tags.

    To make sure it wasn't a mistake with my code, I opened the file provided with the tutorial, and it had the same problem.

    This only happens when the page hits a query rule of media that hides the menu slide and floating next to the other navigation links. In the slide menu all the links work. The strange thing is that when I click the < nav > element in the DOM tree, the tag is not lit in live view, it's as if this isn't on the page at all.

    I don't know how David has implemented its css (each has their own particular workflow), but a possible workaround is to add overflow: hidden; the css selector #navlinks in media 700px query:

    @media (min-width: 700px) {}

    {#menulink}

    display: none;

    }

    {#navlinks}

    Max-width: 1000px;

    position: static;

    background-color: transparent;

    overflow: hidden;

    }

    Then set the top: 90px 40px in the p #hero selector:

    #hero p {}

    Width: 36%;

    padding-left: 25px;

    padding-right: 25px;

    padding-top: 20px;

    position: absolute;

    color: white;

    border width: 5px;

    border-style: solid;

    top: 40px;

    right: 33px;

    }

    Another solution would be to add clear: both; for the #hero css selector in the in the media of 700px query (did the same thing as above but less code):

    {#hero}

    position: relative;

    Clear: both;

    }

    To see why this add a background color for the #hero css selector in 700px media query. The container of Heroes is on the net asset value for her blocking links.

    {#hero}

    position: relative;

    background-color: red;

    }

  • Animation causing the link not working?

    I have an animation of a 'back' button in IE will not play the animation, which is fine, but the link the user to the previous page does not work in Internet Explorer for some reason any. The animation uses CSS and jQuery, while the previous button is that a simple div below is a link to the js to fiddle with the code page. Is there a way to link with work in IE without deleting the animation in other browsers that would be great!

    Change the fiddle - JSFiddle

    The problem is that your advanced CSS button is not recognized by older IE.  So you need a backup for these lesser browsers button.

    Wrap your plain JavaScript button inside a conditional comment, IE, like this:

    And you might want to hide your advanced CSS button by putting another conditional comment IE in your head tags.

  • Links not working not whether

    I've been running a few different problems with edge animate, and I realized that my links do not work on my project. Different assets have code like this-

    Navigate to a new URL in the current window

    (replace '_self' with the target attribute appropriate to a new window)

    window.open ("http://fstoppers.com/photoshoot-breakdown-behind-the-scenes-into-camaro-photoshoot", "_blank");

    http://zsuttonphoto.com/press.html

    Can someone explain to me why it does not work? My CompositionReady is empty, and there are currently no code on the site, apart from the different links.

    Your links are working properly, but since there are 3 errors in your code, your composition was not working right. I have prev corrections for you.

    You can see the page in question (or at least the code)?

    And it could be many things.  Outlook 2007 installation is the default mail client?  Other programs recognize it on your computer without problem?  Firefox has seen many updates since 3.5.18 (3.6-> 4.0).  Have you tried later to make sure that this isn't a bug with this particular version that was fixed by Mozilla?

  • Dynamic links not working do not!

    I recently had to reinstall all my suite production premium, and since I did this first freezes when I try to link it to an After Effects composition. Found a fix for Windows on internet, treated with dynamic link not having is not a link to the new installation of first, but the paths of the files were rubbish since I'm on a mac. Please help if you know how to solve this problem!

    For me, the 'standard' answer did not work when I had this problem recently (in fact, the 'standard' response rarely works, I found).  In my situation, it was Knoll Light Factory from Red Giant Software plugin breaking ALL dynamic linking in CS4 on my OSX system.

    Everything I did (after finding a thread very useful here, with answers that go beyond a short sentence) was to remove the Knoll Light Factory 2.5 folder /MediaCore. folder  Once I did that, everything worked.

    For others, uninstall the other Red Giant Software or other third-party plug-ins solved their problems of dynamic binding broken.

    If you have installed an any of these recently, I suggest you uninstall them systematically until your works of dynamic linking.

    Why a plugin After Effects (in my case) broke ANY dynamic link CS4 feature is a mystery.  I informed this red giant and told them I was not alone, but because they could not reproduce the problem on their end, I do not expect a fix 'official' anytime soon.  And since the dynamic linking is essential for the new Adobe Media Encoder working group, it was necessary to find a solution.  I was very close to back to CS3 when I stumbled upon the solution of helpful users here.

    Good luck.
