  I just installed ESXi 4.0 on an IBM server xSeries 336 for a test environment. Specifically, I've had this machine for this purpose to the requirement in mind that ESXi 4.0 runs only on compatible CPUs 64 bit. And ESXi 4.0 installed correctly on this server (and also I booted Windows PE x 64 the to successfully for a trial).

  Now when I try to create a 64-bit on her client, she says always that this host is not able to run the 64-bit clients. I missed something?

  Our two ESXi servers have version 8.0.1 of the VMware tools on the local drive (vmfs/volumes / < ID > packages/5.0.0/vmtools), but the current version is 9.0.

  Right now, I manually downloaded copies of the tools directly to the host of the virtual computer, but how to update local copy of ESXi disk? I was going to just crush the 8.0.1 files, but I noticed there is a manifest file as well, which contains a large number of version numbers and I didn't break anything. Is there a way with support update installers the?

  VM tools are retro-compatible, so it should work. I recommend however, as you will introduce a manual process you need to manage and I did not belive you will have any advantage by doing so. the complexity more you add, the greater the risk of things go wrong.

  I however would patch the hosts to the latest version and using the tools provided with this version.

  Anyone have VMware 3.5 hypervisor version 32-bit ISO download?

  My server ESX 3i, 3.5.0 build #207095 is not being updated, as I ought to grab the update of June 2011.

  I had this all sitting test machine that during that unpatched etc., as it was not in a production environment.

  Now I need the use of a test machine and I don't have access to a 64-bit computer and I want to just install the 3.5 again.

  I have a BDC running on it and I can move it using Vmware stand-alone converter between my server ESXi 5.5 U5 and return.

  I just want to have the latest patched on 32-bit hardware installation!

  If someone has a link that I can get the last 32-bit ISO, please let me know.

  I've been looking downloads on this site without success. I think that they put an end to support for 32-bit versions.

  Looking for a way to expose the bit VT of the host hardware for a virtual machine running on ESXi. I know a similar setting is available in VMware Workstation, named "runtime Mode", but is not present in ESXi (obviously, being a different version of the hypervisor). Is it possible to manually force the opportunity to be on, for example manually placing an entry in the. VMX file?

  We have a situation where we have to copy a database from one server to another 450GB. Both are 32-bit windows system.
  
  Tried to use Robocopy and it keeps fail with resource not available error that there is enough space in the disk. The problem is with the memory.
  
  Can anyone suggest a solution? If no other solution is available, we plan to perform a tape backup and restore it on the new server. But there are practical difficulties in the present.
  
  If anyone has a better idea or option please let me know. Appreciate your help

• Start FF, get the error "update nt could be installed. Doesn't make sure that no other copy running"even from the cold. Have reset but persists.

  Thank you for your question, this error has been seen when there is a .parentlock file in the profile folder. There was also a bug that has been fixed in the new version 30 which came out this week
