Make a SATA PCI Express bootable card

I installed a SATA PCI Express card & applicable drivers... everything is good & functional. Here's my problem... when I disconnect me one & only internal hard and connect it to the PCI Express card... When you restart, you will find no bootable devices.  I thought that there was a way to drive too the BIOS to point to the SATA PCI Express card now hanging on my hard drive but may seem to learn more.    Or a way to make the card Express Bootable?   Any help would be appreciated... Thanks in advance. Pat

Hi Pat,

·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

I suggest you to consult the manual of the computer to the BIOS (Basic input/output system) settings. You can also contact the manufacturer for more help and information.

  • Compaq6910p: Compaq 6910p PCI Express graphics card?

I know that the graphics may not be upgraded on laptops cards, but are compatible with the 6910p PCI Express graphics cards?

And do not believe that these Youtube videos where we put a little video card pci-e in the slot wireless, connected to an external Bay with a desktop video card. It does not work because of bandwidth limits. Wireless slots are x 1 pci-e and a x 8 or x 16 video card needs. You can get a picture for a few minutes (probably not even that), but you would not be able on this game and would probably overheat the motherboard and damage it.

  • 220 watt HP slimline s511uk: pci express graphics card card low brackets

    Hello world.

I am trying to buy a new card for pci express card 16 graph to upgrade the s511uk hp slimline model.

But do not know which is compatiable like her as a supply of 220 watt power supply.

What I do need to update the pc to 300 watt psu suppy because some of these graphics cards are requiring one 300 watts to 400 watts.

the reason for the upgrade is at stake.

    Hello

Try HP Partsurferfor video cards that are used in the new Slimline models with a 220 Watt power supply. These cards have been made specifically for the HP Slimline PC with a 220 watt power supply. The 405 NVIDIA 1 GB is $126. The 520 NVIDIA 1 GB is $144 and the NVIDIA GT530 2 GB is $ 195.  HP may have other video cards designed for HP Slimlines with a 220 Watt power supply.

  • Can I replace my graphic chipset with an integrated PCI Express graphics card?

I am looking to update my graphics card. I did some research and learned that my motherboard is a N-Alvorix-RS880-Μatx (Yes, it has a PCI Express slot) and my current graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 4200 (Chipset). Product information on my computer on the HP site said that "integrated into the graphics card or the card PCI Express x 16 slot are usable at once; they are not usable at the same time. "I don't know exactly what this means.

Is it possible for me to get a new graphics card and use it on my computer? If so, what would I do with the current chipset graphic card? Or am I condemned to have to use my current lame graphics forever card?

Thank you very much for the help.

    Hi Scott,.

Please send the product code of HP to the exact address for your PC.

When a video card is installed in the PCI-E x 16 slot, the bios will recognize this situation and will subsequently disable the motherboard integrated video processor.  It's one or the other but not both.

Yes, you can put a discrete video card in your PC, but we need to know more information about your PC such as the size of the power supply etc.

  • upgrade Alienware Aurora - version PCI Express graphics card

Hi, I want to improve my Alienware Aurora with a new graphics card. I always use original equipment, an ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series (with GDDR5 1024), which runs with PCI Express 2.0 x 16. I had no problem with the card, but as I can't play Company of Heroes 2 with all the settings above, I want to get better. As I was looking for a new card, I wondered if my system supports only the PCI Express 2.0 version or also higher versions (like 2.1 or 3.0). Unfortunately, I couldn't find this information (my motherboard is an Alienware 0H869M). Maybe you can help me. If you have a recommendation of a good graphics card, I would be grateful that as well. Thank you.

You can use the latest AMD Radeon cards that were designed for PCIe v3, they work only PCIe v2 mode, and generally it will not create any problems. I wouldn't say anything much higher than a 290 R9 or R9 x 280.

You can also choose any NVIDIA card brand because they can also run on PCIe v2 and most people actually do this right now because they have not upgraded to a v3 PCIe system.

  • PCI Express Firewire card

I have a HP PAVILION CTO H8 - 1070T that has no firewire port.  I need to have this to connect my camcorder to the computer.  Where can I get one to adapt to this computer?  HP doesn't have one they sell to consumers.

    Hello

Your machine is a product of CTO is why we do not find its specifications on the HP sites. Please check if she had a spare PCIe slot then any standard PCIe Firewire card should work. Normally the driver should come with the card.

    Kind regards.

  • PCI express video card for Lr3?

    Greetings,

I can recall that read "some type" video card will help speed up the performance of the Lr3...

If so - what type I'm looking for, and of course - which is a matter of good money?

    Thank you!

I think you're Recalling by mistake. LR works very well with any video card supporting the native resolution of your screen. It only uses the map to be displayed, and not to proceed to any serious treatment.

    Ja.

You could use a PCIe to PCI card and then use any PCI device you want (as long as he did)

    Any help much appreciated

HP ENVY 23 - d130ea TouchSmart all-in-One desktop PC is a computer 'All-in-one' who doesn't have any full size PCI Express slots in it.  The PCI Express slots only this computer, are strictly internal PCI Express mini card Sockets and a PCI Express MXM slot for special MXM graphics card.

  • W500 PCI-Express does not work after upgrade memory 4gig

Laptop is a W500 with WinXP SP3. I have the external ViDock PCI Express video card. Absolutely, it works like a champ. I recently received an upgrade of memory 4gig for the W500. After the upgrade of the default value would be 2gig RAM for the new 4gig, the laptop does NOT start with the inserted PCI Express card. I remove the card PCI Express ViDock and it starts very well and of course, works very well. Same behavior either stand alone or in the docking station. I tried going back to the 2 Gig of RAM and the new ViDock works perfectly. Google is pretty quiet on this issue... This could be a problem with the ViDock? the W500? Windows XP? The memory? Doesn't seem wise for me a memory 'simple' update would disable a component. Thank you,-Ryan

  • Omni 120-1024-is it possible to install the firewire port via the mini connector PCI Express to spare?

Hello, my old HP is dead and we bought the Omni all-in-one, I must have fog on the brain I never even thought to the fact that he doesn't have a firewire and I have 1 years worth of my newborn, sitting in the video camera DV tape.

I see on the site of HPs that there ' a half-length PCI Express mini card "

But I realize that this all-in-one is more like a laptop to the extent of the site.  Is there a map that I can buy to add firewire capabilities using this slot on the motherboard pci express?  It doesn't seem like he would have anywhere to run 'out' because there are no visible locations, but thought I'd ask.

I'll be so sad to know that I have no way to capture the video more.

I'm guessing that the "PCIe half mini map" slot is already occupied by the adapter 802.11 b/g/n. discover your Omni 120-1024 to the HP part surfer. Scroll almost to the bottom and look for "PC LAN card wireless (Interface) p/n 638403-001 - Flamingo, Halfmini 802.11bgn 1 x 1.

Currently work driving my Seagate FreeAgent Pro on the IEE1394 (e.g. Firewire) Port, but the speed is currently very poor.
