  Hey Adobe Community! I need help.

  I am running After Effects 13.7.0.124 on my Mac El Capitan 10.11.3. I was able to render compositions quite well in the past, until the last two days. I don't know what changed, but there are some compositions when I hit record it gives me the spinning wheel of death and others who seem to make it ok. My guess is that something is wrong with some compositions, but I am confused that I was able to make them in the past, and I see no difference between those who fail and those who work. All the world running in this and any ideas for how to resolve or create workarounds? (I couldn't even copy and paste the data from the failing compositions in nine because this does not work too). Thank you very much!

  So the answer to my other concern is Yes. You can have too many compositions. I had to get out of the parts that were deeply nested composition and pull them up. For example, if I had 'A Comp' in a larger "Comp B", I used sections of Comp B and then continuation and upward. So finally, there was a 'Comp P' where I really only necessary as a part of 'A Comp', but since I had compiled them all together like that earlier, EI had to dig deep to get the parts. So, as usual, it was my fault!

  I am SO relieved to find the answer to this. The project concerns an iOS design front end of an application give meal plans custom personalized people according to their diet and recipes using what they have.

  So in summary, nests too in AE. Take 2 minutes to get the right composition instead of the more rapid capture. That would have saved me 3 days of confusion.

  To close, make sure first that "hide all initially" is checked (this isn't to close, but for your application that must be checked)

  Not really. AE will be only update the marker of time if the comps are somehow related in the first place such as comps before or with the expressions and the "Synchronize the time of associated items" option is set in the preferences. However, due to how AE makes commissioned work, there may be delays or child / slave comps even never updated, even if you scroll the parent / master. There is simply no good way to do this reliably. AE is a dumb nut in that Department.

  Here's how to copy DVD and burn: (these steps will be useful if your DVD is capable of burning DVDs)

  a. right-click on the DVD drive icon, and select Explorer.

  b. Select all the files and right click on them. Now, select copy.

  c. now, go to the location where you want to paste. Right-click on the free space and select Paste.

  d. now, insert a new DVD.

  e. now open the DVD in Windows Explorer.

  f. copy all the files you want to burn and then right-click on the free space on the Windows DVD and select Paste.

  g. you must click on the "write these files to DVD" link in the upper left corner of the window.

  h. the Assistant burn a DVD appears and asks you to name the CD\DVD. Insert a name or leave the default and click Next.

  Honestly I don't remember I have a way to make an optional physical source: when a LTS are pointing to it and your LTS is used to provide data for analysis (as you did) it must be there or you have the error (your current situation).

  The RPD, you can manually disable an LTS, but I'm not aware of a way to do it dynamically or make the option you are looking for...

• I need help to make multiple measurements

  I have photoshop cs6 extended addition and told me photoshop would work for the purposes of research, I need, but so far I find it very hard to do what I want.  Basically, I need to be able to meausre several lines (red in the screenshot) an image with accuracy and ensure that the lines I have measure are documented so that they are in fact visiable (so not only with the ruler tool) on the screen and labeled.  Does anyone have an idea how to approach this problem?  See the example image.  I need the lengths (converts to 2 at the bottom of the image micrometer scale).  When I use the info, it gives me the lengths, but I can't save, or look it up at another time.  In addition, when you use the online tool, then by "record" as it does not give me the length of the line, but is rather as it is a thin rectangle and gives me a height (which doesn't seem to be the same if I used the measure tool and put it next to the line, which is an idea I have but not as precise) and a width.  Ideas?

  

  Here is a solution, it involves only a little math.

  Bring out your lines with the line tool. Right click on the lines and choose to turn their paths in selections.

  Target your background layer. (All your lines must have now 'works of the ants' around them.)

  Record the measurements. (Skip the first one generated as it is just a composite of all records)

  Now,.

  think of each line as a hypotenuse of a right triangle and its registered, width and height as the a and b of the sides of the triangle. Using A squared + B squared = C squared formula for a triangle rectangle you will get the length correct of the lines.

  Now simply plug the numbers into the formula and Wham Bam you have visible lines, you need their exact duration and recordings on a worksheet.
