• At the end of my mind: placing anchored object inline with text & wrap

  I never learned to InDesign that I had granted.  Once I managed well with Aldus Pagemaker.  But I just spent the last two hours trying to solve a huge gap in my knowledge and I can't do it.  I'm exasperated and desperately need help.

  What I want to do: I have a tech with a lot of text manual and did need to place graphical objects in a way that the text will be around the object and if I need to edit the text, the graph will move with which I inserted the chart.

  What's happening:

  1. I have a block of text with the text.  I place the cursor at the beginning of the paragraph, and then click file > place, then choose a graphic.

  2 using the selection tool, I click the image and then click the 'wrap around bounding.

  3. the text moves a tiny bit but not wraps around the object.

  4 object is, however, / rooted, inline with text.

  OR

  1. with nothing selected, click on file > place, then choose a graphic.

  2. I place the graphic on the lower part of the page on an empty space.

  3. I move the chart on the text and then click the icon 'wrap around bounding.

  4. the text flows but when I change the text, it does not flow in the graph.

  Conclusion:

  I'm retarded.  I even went through the example of Lynda here: http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/video_workshop/?id=vid0073 I was able to place my object in its document and look at the wrapped text to flow around the graphic text.

  I read the help documentation (I'm a big fan of reading).

  The only thing I can think is I put my text box to the top wrong or I don't know.  I'm so frustrated that I seriously almost in tears.

  My sample document (I am under a NDA and cannot release my original document, but I have reproduced what I did in the other) is here to someone who can tell me what I did wrong.  Thank you kindly.

  You are not delayed. Text wrapping is not intuitive with anchored objects.

  For items online, dressing affects only the text after the inserted object. For custom anchored objects, it only affects the text beyond the line where the anchor point.

  Often, this means that you do intuitive tricks to get things working as you want, like putting the anchor in its own paragraph, or advance on where you thought, it should be.

• How to make "In line with text" as default option

  I use 5.6 Pages to deal with certain documents that have a lot of pictures. When I paste an image of the document, the default option of "skin" for the image is "automatic", I have to manually change the "inline with the text" option each time and drag it to the right place, it's extremely frustrating. Is it possible to put "in line with text" as default option when I paste a picture?

  Click in the text where you want the image to be inserted.

  If the focus is on the text, the image will be stick like 'Move with text;' if emphasis is placed on an object (eg. an image that does not move with the text), the image will stick like "rest on the Page.

  Agree with Andrew. Looks too much like cubit motion blur settings and text, thus producing the blur with even the slightest movement. also make sure you do not use OpenGL for rendering, if for some reason any you don't.

  My brain is all squirmy or something:

  I get in a bunch of text that flows in the columns of a magazine. For your visualization > text is composed of very short paragraphs. A lot of these paragraphs need to have pictures flowing with such paragraphs. I'm not trying to establish their own places photos in frames and then make the text around the pictures. I actually have to insert the picture IN the text so that it does not lose its place... so that as I get more pictures to come, I don't have to move the photos to keep Mary in their correct paragraphs.

  I never do this kind of layout. Help?

  You are currently placing the photo on top of the text block.

  Cut one of the photo. Change the text cursor. Click at the end of the paragraph it "belongs" to enter a blank line. Make sure he has his attack set to 'Auto '. Dough. The image is now 'online', then it will run with the rest of the text.

  You can do this:

  (1) create the initial direct Type;

  (2) in the appearance palette dialog, click on add a new fill and define the color as you wish;

  (3) effect > convert to shape > Rectangle corners round/Rectangle/Ellipse and set parent > width/extra height as you wish (essentially what needs to be added to the size of the bounding box, if anything).

  After that you can change the Type and the filled area will fit as shown on the picture.

  Hi, I'm pretty new to Muse and have encountered a problem. I put the browser fill either an image set to scale to fill. In this way, it evolves based on their browser. I put text fields in some places that interact with the background, but when the browser size changes and background image size changes the text field does not follow. Is there a way to set the text field to the size with the browser/background. I think it would be just an absolute based position on the bottom or top, but I'm not sure. Any help is appreciated. • Flow of text/image for a user manual

  Greetings. I'm working on a layout for a user manual. I encountered a problem with the flow of text and images in many cases where the instructions of the manual to a step by step format. Please see the screenshot at the end of the post.

  You will see in the bottom half of the page one of these sequences step by step starts. The 1st image is related to step 1 and 2 in step 2. I want the image to align with the capline of the 1st sentence at each stage and the image must stay in line on the right and the left-aligned text. Here's where I have problems: I don't want to give a space - after replacing every step in order to align the next step with the next image.

  I tried to put the image inline with the text and by aligning his right of paragraph but then I can't align the image with the capline of the 1st sentence in step; the image is before or after the line of text. I also tried dressing jump object, but which becomes immediately problematic when a stage has several lines of text.

  What is the best practice here? I think I lack something real simple. Also, if it's important I have an author on InCopy assignments of edition we're going.

  

  Try following:

  

  You need:

  • 2 paragraph styles
  • 1 object model for image
  1. Specify a paragraph for the numbered list Style as stated above. (But it can be any other model also) I call it 'the list '.
  2. Specify where the image is embedded in a paragraph Style. I call it 'Anchor Image'
     1. Left, the intention is wide the first character to be so far to the right, that this is in the area of the image, would make so vast that it is near the right edge, for example if the frame is 200 mm, you can do left intend 198 mm
     2. The size is not serious, in the example, it is 0.1pt, 0, driving, before 0space and after.

  3. The style of the object must have following properties:
     1. Text wrapping, I did it with 1 p to the left and to the right, 0mm above and below the rectangle shape
     2. Anchored the position of the image: right 0mm to the right vertical edge, specify a distance between the upper edge of the frame on the insertion will be always to the desired line at the top of the page of the reference.

  The wrapping of the text of the framework will force the number text (with the style of paragraph 'List' of the film, but also the next holder of the anchor with the paragraph style 'Anchor Image' to wrap.)   I asked this question before and yet I'm still terrible problems with my graphics flies over the text document when I add more text.  I'm not able to find the archives with the answers that people have written to me.

  I need to write a series of laboratory reports and using a terrible time amount to try to put the images in place. I do not receive a flow of text running.  Even in sections that I created, some of the images floated back up to the top of the section and are sitting there tight.  I am not able to move.

  Here is an example of a problem: I inserted a scatterplot and written my text.  I click on the tab "move with the text."  The Text wrap tab chooses spontaneously "Inline with the text.  My plot is moved to the left column - but I don't want that here.  I need to add a small annotation.  I'm not able to merge the plot toward the Center where the function of "In line with text" does not allow this.

  Basically, I try and change all the figures and plots to "Move with the text", but they tend to change to 'Stay on the Page' when I look away.

  Now, I wonder if I shouldn't open a new document in layout? This way I can add all my numbers for the section of the results in place holders.  But what I can combine "Text Layout" sections "Page Layout"?

  I really want to go back to Microsoft Word.  I would like to become proficient with Pages - and of course to learn my lab equipment!

  Each object, with the exception of a table when it is inserted in a document of v5.6.2 Pages, has its object set to Move with text placement and its set to automatic text wrapping. To keep your images of richocheting around your document out of your control, or push a the other, visit the reorganize with the selected image tab and change skin to zero. Now you can place pictures anywhere in your body text.

  Unlike Word, Pages v5.6.2 doesn't have a convenient annotation tool, and we need to position and an oblong text box that contains the annotation group - under the image.

  A lot of this has to do with just using adjustment for light objects layers to make it look like the glow: addition of light bouncing off nearby elements, etc. Some are made in double exposure and luminous paint. There are many ways to do this, but it also requires a fair amount of work. For example the image below was made by using two exhibitions with a light hit the center of the flower, making it shine.

  Three choices here.

  Configure the master page with two columns so you have real column guides and ID will this thread management single column across the page width.

  Make a block of text type two columns.

  Set up a style of object (change the style [standard text block]) to include a block of two columns of text.

• Windows Vista - Bluescreen with text appears after the startup loading bar

  Help! I'm running on Windows Vista.

  I know not ALL the technical features, and I'm really in a hurry to solve this problem, so I'm sorry for the low amount of detail.

  Well, anyway, I pressed the power to force the button stop and now my computer won't start. I should not have forced, but I was rushing to turn it off.

  It starts as normal watch the bar loading for a few seconds, the bar hangs for about a second and then it goes to the blue screen of DEATH. Sound blue screen, with text saying "a problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer", etc etc.

  Then, at the bottom, it says:

  Blue screen errors may be caused by the hardware and software issues, and it can be difficult to solve the problem sometimes. Check to see if the following is useful.

  Startup options (including safe mode)

  Start your computer in safe mode

  Method 2:

  If you do not experience the problem in safe mode with any problem, you can perform a clean boot and check.

  A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.

  Note: Make sure that you put the computer to a Normal startup once you are finished.
