Management of alert problem

I had a recent failure of the HD on a server and received no e-mail alert. I went in IT Assistant and tested the emails could be sent and they could. I went to see-> appliances-> servers-> Server has failed and you click the alert tab newspapers. In the alert logs, there is no case of the failure of the HD. However, according to the newspapers of material there. How can I do when there is hardware failure it finds in the alert logs and alerts me.

Currently I get e-mails based on a filter that I found in the manual, I created. I have grave and warnings selected for gravity and select all checked in the alert categories.

I don't really know why I have not received an email based on the filter above. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

    (a) if it works well before? You get a specific error message?

    (b) don't you recall making any changes to the computer before this happened?

    Connect the laptop to access the internet cable and then try to follow the steps:

    Step 1: check if you are able to receive the IP (Internet protocol) address, run Ipconfig/all at the command prompt.

    Click Start, run, type "cmd" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK to open a MS-DOS command line window. Type "ipconfig/all" (without the quotation marks), and then press the ENTER key.

    ·         Do you have an IP address?

    ·         You get the addressing APIPA (automatic private IP addressing)?

    Ø If the line "Autoconfiguration Enabled' says 'Yes', the 'Auto-configuration IP address' is 169.254.x.y (where x.y is the unique client identifier), then the computer is using AUTOMATIC private IP addressing.

    Ø If the line "Autoconfiguration Enabled' says 'No', while the computer does not currently use AUTOMATIC private IP addressing.

    Note:  With APIPA, DHCP (Dynamic host configuration protocol protocol) clients can be automatically configure an IP address (Internet protocol) address and subnet mask when a DHCP server is not available.

    If you cannot assign an IP address and then try step 2

    Step 2: disable the DHCP (Dynamic host configuration protocol protocol) Broadcast Flag:

  • OMSA on windows server 2012, "Execute the application" does not not under alert management action alert

    It works for my windows 2003 server with open handle to this topic. But I'm unable to open manage to send an alert to a system windows 2012. It works in command line, but not the part of absolute path 'Execute the application' the management of alerts. I tried all the suggestions in the thread. Anyone know if this works for the win2012 or how to make it work?

    Ah, in fact it seems that it may work now. Have to do with how I was testing the temporary disability or maybe I have changed some things between tests. I tried a few times over, and it seems to have triggered the email which will now be sent

    The absolute path to the application, I used is:

    C:\DellSMTPNotify\DellSMTPNotify.exe 3

    without the quotes around it.

    I inherited an Equallogic PS5000E recently and he had a bad drive. I replaced the drive and in Group Manager, everything is superb. All drives, except the new spare wheel, are green and I see no warning at all. The problem is, 2 - 3 times a day I get emails with the following information

    It is here under the e-mail-> Notifications menu settings.  Look under the critical tab.  I click on the # ID column to sort by the ID of the error and it's there.

  • Causing the Windows Task Manager to Internet problems?

    When I open the Task Manager to change the priority of a program (change by normal normal CPU use above) it causes my ping in games to soar and I get huge lag spikes and possibly disconnect. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. I had no such problem with Windows Vista.

  • Task Manager/System Restore problems

    I have Windows XP - from one day to the next, the Task Manager has changed appearance. All I can see are the processes. It does not show running programs, refresh, stop, etc..  So I tried System Restore and cannot restore.

    Looks like you can be / are the Task Manager running in mode tiny/small footprint.

    If you double-click on the empty space around the border of the screen of the Task Manager, it will change from normal mode, and then you should see the tabs you are accustomed to seeing.

    -It seems that if I only have the PCI card installed, I still have the same problem.

    I'd like to find if there is a problem with the hardware of the Board of Directors, the BIOS or the installation of MAX?

    Partially solved.

    The PCI-8331 seems to work in another PC, equipped with a newer BIOS.

    Could not test with MXI-8336 a hanging basket, as it is in a different location.

    Uptdating the BIOS of the computer 'defective' did not help, it seems like a new computer/motherboard is necessary.

  • Management E4200v2 remote problem

    Hi all

    I have a little problem with remote management on my E4200v2.

    I have him, select https and all on by default the allowed IP address value remote port (8080)

    Try changing the port 8081 instead of 8080. Otherwise, you could use http instead of https for remote management, where it does not work with https. Also to ensure that the anonymous internet application of the filter box should be disabled in the Security tab, on the router configuration page.

  • Cannot run any application system as anything in the administration tools, network and sharing Center, Device Manager. No problem running the applications Office, IE, etc.

    Vista Ultimate, 32-bit, SP2 had worked perfectly for two months. Machine set up to now and when started the first time, no network connection and my video wallpaper stops with an error message that says to reboot. The 2nd restart, I get internet connectivity, no wallpaper at all and no access to system applications that are listed in the title line.

    I can open Documents and navigate around, click computer and see the disks, etc., right click on computer and view the properties, but it shows no RAM and processor. If I click on Device Manager on this window, it crashes just forever unless I have kill with Task Manager.

    I had Windows Live Onecare on this machine and it expired during the period, it was closed. No problem... I plan to install MSE.

    Originally, I installed a smaller version of Vista of CD (still have it) but upgraded to Ultimate online and is not a product for this upgrade CD.

    I need to know where to start on fixing Vista so that it works correctly.

    It is better that you have the Vista Ultimate DVD, so I suggest you ask the DVD from the dealer.

    g. once the scan is complete, a test to see if the problem you are experiencing is resolved or not.

  • BlackBerry Smartphone app store alert problem

    I have an annoying problem on the homepage, I have an app store with a star inside, signifyiing a symbol warning.  When I went to the app store, he says that there is an upgrade to quickpull.  I downloaded it and then it would not install, despite my trying this several times.  I finally deleted quickpull altogether and reinstalled and the new version works very well.  However, the alert store blackberry app is still there just below the date and time, no matter what I do.  I removed the apps, pulled the battery, etc, but I can't get rid of it.  And there is no warning when I go to the store and watch my apps.  Any advice to get rid of this annoying icon?  Thanks in advance!

  • Features of the power manager and other problems associated with the T510

    For the better part of 5 years, I was a happy user of an IBM Z60m and decided it was time to move my z60 to my son and buy a new T510.  Well, I have after several weeks of property I can honestly say I'm irritated and frustrated by several current issues and I'm ready to send back all.

    Starting from the moment I pulled it out of the box I was having problems of power management.  I was on Microsoft help forums, called the lenovo support and spent countless hours on blogs and forums looking for help.   No matter what I do in the put lenovo on arrangements to take away my computer goes to stanby after one minute of inactivity and then wonder my windows password.  After a full day to insert my password my frustration level is off the chart.  I removed the password in the settings of the user who has not helped.  I changed the global settings to disable password in stanby mode which did not help.  I changed the function to optimize power and others, but none of it helped.

    Beyond these problems... I inserted two different discs to insert new programs and my system kept telling me that he did not read either.  I first thought they were zero but my old laptop ibm read without problem.

    So there you have it.

    Are you sure that the system is set the mode after 1 minute?  Or is the screen is locked?

    Try this:

    1. right click on the desktop and choose "Customize".

    2. click on "screen saver" in the lower right corner

    3. uncheck the box that says "On Resume, the logon screen"
