Manager Update AVG struggling to update

I have a PC running Windows XP Home SP3.  DSL connection.  AVG Free 8 is my anti-virus software.  I have used AVG for a year almost without problems.  Until recently.

During the last seven days or more, AVG Update Manager had problems to update itself on my computer.  Just a quick message on an error, then that he was trying to acquire of new updates.  It happened to other users of AVG Free recently?

No problem this morning with AVG Update Manager.

Lawnmowerguy:

The AVG Free forum is flooded with problems of updating in the last 2 weeks. Apparently, it is related to the upgrade to the free version:

  • Manager Update says "there was an error downloading this update. Exit and try again later. "for every application in CS5 Design Premium

Poster 8 Update Manager updates available. I chose the update, enter my password of the computer and the progress bar indicates the download. When the download is complete, a list of all applications is up to each of them saying: "there was an error downloading this update. Quit and try again later. "Later, I tried several times for several days, always the same result. How can I update my CS5? I reinstalled it recently just of my Installer on my drive from there, so I know that there were many updates for a few years then. And the update manager says there are 8 available.

  • ESXi 4.1 using VMware Update Manager Update

This is my first time using Update Manager to update an ESXi host.  I have vCenter server and the Update Manager Server installed on a physical machine that has ODBC connections to a database Microsoft SQL on a computer located on my single ESXi 4.1 host virtual.  Realizing that I have to put the ESXi host in maintenance mode in order to upgrade to the latest version, I don't know how to and can continue to use vCenter Update Manager.  My only guess is that I'll have my SQL Server VM to vMotion to another ESXi host and have somehow vCenter and Manager update access to this database in order to stop the VM of the SQL Server to put the host in maintenance mode?  I tried to close the VM of SQL Server when you are connected to vCenter but I lost all ability to do something immediately.  My DC is also on that same host ESXi as well, closing the domain controller affect as well?

If you have only an ESXi server and your VC / database etc all SimCity.EA.com ESXi host, you could consider only the upgrade without using VUM?

    http://www.get-virtual.info/2011/03/24/436/

If your ESX host is in a cluster, the 'Miantenance Mode' operation will be vMotion virtual machines to the other hhosts and you should have no problem.

  • Application manager updated to cc?

Why Adobe Application Manager updated to a launch for creative cloud button? I don't have a creative cloud. I usually run updates I see alerts come in and just ran this update to find app has been replaced by a button to launch CC. I have no idea why this is now on my desk. Should I be to remove this application? I have CS6 installed and thought I needed application manager for updates of my software. If someone can advise me, it would be great. It all seems very strange to me.

    Thank you

    Kim

My apologies I did have time to try to run uninstaller personally, but other reports, it should work.  If you remove the creative cloud using Control Panel programs and features, you can then reinstall Adobe Application Manager from our download to https://www.adobe.com/downloads/?promoid=KAWQLpage.  Links to the Adobe Application Manager for Windows and Mac OS are in the lower right of the page.

Update 7/3, please download the application cloud of https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud creative

  • Satellite Pro S300: modem 3G & Toshiba Wireless Manager Update

I received through Toshiba Tempro an update for my Toshiba Satellite Pro S300 (W7 32-bit) for a 3 G modem and Toshiba Wireless Manager.
After the State Manager is installed, there is not such a modem.

This laptos has a build-in modem, where can I put a SIM card in?
Otherwise how to install a SIM card in this laptop to have internet access anywhere where I'm going?

    Hello

TEMPRO shows a downloaded driver information!
The point is that laptops are equipped with different hardware components and not all models support the same hardware specification.
Maybe your S300 has not been equipped with 3G modem but other S300 support 3G.

However, you can check device manager if a 3G device is in the list

  • Profile re-pushing apps Manager; Update of information causes repeated only a few apps push; loop occurs when each check-in

Someone else knows applications re-pushing to the each check-in?

The 'push' that happens quickly, so it seems that it is just to check if the applications are there, and receive the answer 'yes' and then say 'managed '. But she does it every time.

I've experienced this with various groups of iPads, various groups of applications.

The first time I came across this, there was a group of 3 applications that were pushing the re - to a group of 30 iPads. Applications that have been "re-growth" would NOT actually launch (launch for a fraction of a second but disappear). After some troubleshooting, I found that 'Kahn Academy' was the culprit. I removed Academy Kahn manually the iPad, as well as the profile. I also removed the other 2 apps. Then I added 2 other apps. After that it worked fine and I never tried to load Kahn Academy again.

Currently, I have another group of 36 iPads that were freshly configured and fine last week. I checked and verified that I could update to information on each of them and have NO extra application by pushing. But then this week, several apps to continue to try to push again. My only theory is that these applications have been possibly updated and he tries to push the update over and over again.

Any ideas you have on how to troubleshoot and resolve this problem is welcome!

I discovered that indeed is the apps are left on "Automatic" instead of "manual" updates are driven out. The main problem with this is that, often, the application is currently open on iPad to the user. When the update is released, it automatically attempts to push and the user is notified by a message saying that the application wants to update. If the user selects Yes, she leaves the app and probably the update is completed and they can relaunch the application. However, they can choose cancel or later (I don't remember not the option called ""). Also in a classroom, the iPad cannot be used for a few days and can therefore remain in the intermediate phase with fast display and no user input. Can lead to various abnormalities.

I found that leaving the apps on 'automatic' translates invariably by some applications do not install properly or become corrupted. The 'Push' record as "successful", but the app will immediately leave the launch. Whenever you "update information" it will try to push again, the same result.

To fix, delete the application from the iPad manually and re-grow the app.

Also note that if you have assigned the apps through a group, you CAN always go to the record of each device in the Profile Manager and manually push the app to just 1 unit.

In addition, note (in case you didn't know), when the application is 'Pushed', what is happening is that the server is indicative of the iPad to download on the app store. So the server itself does not technically push the app, it pushes the download command. (if your OS X server is also cached, then it is possible, he finally sends the actual data app, however the download command always treats the iPad as an independent client that connects to the app store).

Note also that the Profile Manager does NOT list the application in the dialog "Delete application" group if none of its members not really 'did' to install the application. This makes difficult remote travel if the app is stuck in limbo (think it is installed but closes at launch). You must manually remove on iPads of problem.

My general rule now is to quit all applications in 'manual' mode and then schedule updates periodically. Before the update, make sure that users have left open apps.

  • Manager updated - uninstall

"Update Manager" appears when I start my computer, but I don't remember installing and it never appears to do anything. How can I remove this permandently?

    Hello homanco,

Have you tried to delete "Update manager" of add/remove programs in the control panel? You can check with the manufacturer of the Update manager and see if they have a tool of suppression or utility. If this is not the case, there are 3rd party software uninstall or remove programs that are on the internet. "

Please let us know if you still need help.

As a work around, I suggest you perform a system restore. This is to check if the problem is caused by the update.

  • How to manage updates of data in ArrayDataModel

    Hello

I load some data from a JSON file in a QVariantList which is then added to an ArrayDataModel that allows to display the data in a ListView. It all works very well. Now, I want to update certain values of a ListViewItem and want to propagate these changes to the ArrayDataModel-> QVariantList-> JSON file. How I would handle this? Should I update the DataModel, ListView or even the QVariantList? Loading and display of data in a ListView are very well documented, but I can't find information on reverse litle?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You can access the dataModel of ListView items so it is possible to directly manipulate.

Outside the ListView join dataModel signals such as

    void itemAdded (QVariantList indexPath)
    void itemUpdated (QVariantList indexPath)
    void itemRemoved (QVariantList indexPath)
    void    itemsChanged (bb::cascades::DataModelChangeType::Type eChangeType=bb::cascades::DataModelChangeType::Init, QSharedPointer< bb::cascades::DataModel::IndexMapper > indexMapper=QSharedPointer< bb::cascades::DataModel::IndexMapper >(0))

You'll probably have to subscribe to each of them as you know what changes you make to the dataModel. For example, if you only update the elements subscribe to itemUpdated etc..

In Manager signals, extract the dataModel changes and save them to the disc.

PS Don't forget to subscribe to the changes that the dataModel is initially populated.

  • The Task Manager, update the list of tasks and processes, but removes them from the list, the next second.

It was fine a few days ago, the list of tasks and processes will not be updated until I open/close something. Now, it refreshes the list every second. I tried to change the speed of update, but makes no difference. An answer by tomorrow would be the best.

  • Application Manager update installs creative cloud. Why?

Why is this an update for the Adobe Application Manager, downloaded automatically by Adobe updates, installs the application of Creative cloud when I do not and have never used creative Cloud applications?

Maybe the updater, if it is a real update for Adobe Application Manager, should ask first if you installed creative cloud.

I started using Norton Internet Security for a long time, now simply called Norton Security

Once opened, I go to the screen of the Performance

Then Startup Manager, where I put these 3 DO NOT start when I boot

    -Adobe CS6 Service Manager

    -Adobe Creative Cloud

    -Start adobe Updater utility

All this is, of course, if you really don't WANT the cloud to begin

Since CS6 is no longer updated, there is no reason to have an update running

At least once you have controlled manually to check the updates you may not not applied that product updates
