Manufacturing of individual Vi?

It is more a matter of simple development.
I have this motor controller I can control via RS232 (easy yay). However, it has more than 70 orders ASCII (he did a lot of things).
Each command has a similar syntax that may vary, but is usually in the format
AAAnnn
Where is the address (from 1 to 8), AAA is an ASCII command and nnn are integers. Some commands don't even have the address or integers.
At the end of the day, I'm not trying to control the engine via a manual interface where I type commands, if I was, I simply let this go and use the simple reading and write VI to do my request. I seek essentially to program a string of commands for this controller and to automate certain processes in the laboratory. I was wondering how you think I should develop the VI for that. Should I make 1 VI fo reach the command. This would mean that each VI has the read command but should be the ASCII string already incorporated within the VI. Or should I just stick to 1 VI writing (including any concatenation I need) and stick to send commands that I need when I need them. Whatever it is, I guess at the end of the day, I send commands through the structurse structures and event business and I'd be wrong coding I have send and when. I have some experience ok with labview, just never had to deal with so many commands. In the end, I could use up to 20 thme for my final drawing. Thank you very much! My concern would be that you go time 200 ms if you had too many steps. Also, your total rise time will vary depending on your CPU, as well as other processes run you in the background. If you compared the rise time on a certain CPU with some process running, probably not having the same rise time when porting your code to another machine.
