We need the DMP file because it contains the single record of the sequence of events that led to the accident, what drivers have been loaded, and what has been loaded.
You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting in SafeMode (F8) with networking.
If you are overclocking stop.  (chances are if you are unsure if you are, you are not) a

  • Satellite A355D - Vista 64 bit does not work well

    After a very careful review, I came to the conclusion that this 64-bit system s u c k s.

At this point, I am so tired of the BSOD with all the codes that are known there. It seems to point to the ATI 3100 drivers. I've updated them to the most recent and so far this machine is around the age of two months and have reinstalled Vista 64 twice and had the rear machine to have the DVD and hard drives replaced.

Sheesh I have never had so many problems with a machine to 32 years. Not even with each other.

Has someone already installed Vista Ultimate 32 bit on an A355D?

    Hello!

Your laptop came with Vista 64 bit OS?
To be honest, I use Vista 64 bit on my second Toshiba laptop. It s a Satellite U400 and I never had any problems with it. I've never had a problem.
I installed Vista 64 bit myself and after that, I downloaded and installed all the drivers Toshiba and the tools I founded on the Toshiba site. All that s!

Normally, Vista 32-bit and 64-bit should work without problem. On the Toshiba site, I can find all the drivers and tools for both BONES.
    Check it!

    Good bye

  • Drivers Vista 32-bit works on XP 32 bit?

I got this HP model a6544f since a few months now and find that much too much my older hardware (scanner, etc.) and 16-bit software (which I use daily) simply does not work with Vista or a 64-bit OS. I prefer to use XP 32-bit where all happy lives on my old machine. But the driver for this system only specifies Vista 32 - bit or 64 - bit. I already added a "real" video card to get digital and put output at power level to manage this card. If necessary, I suppose I could live with the 32-bit version of Vista, but would really prefer to use XP. (I think of all the "improvements" in Vista as nothing else that candies for the eyes, and you have disabled as many of them as possible anyway.)

Does anyone know if Vista drivers 32 - bt for different systems of motherboard will install on XP 32 bit? It will make you life easier if they do!

    Thank you

Hmmm... all the drivers I need are components of the motherboard . I was under the impression that HP (Compaq) plus their own Board of Directors. This would imply that it won't be manufactured by 'component', all the drivers no?

Motherboards are circuit boards, which don't require drivers.  Components (i.e. the device IC) soldered to the circuit require drivers.  They are made by the respective device providers. for example peripheral chips done Intel Intel, NVIDIA is peripheral chips NVIDIA, Realtek is peripheral chips Realtek, so on and so immediately.

And no, HP does not motherboards.  Even if it did, nothing would change, he wouldn't have the IC device used on the motherboard.  HP gets the device drivers to the sellers of the device, as everyone (including the motherboard manufacturers).

That said, you should have no problem getting the current XP drivers.  All devices in this system are suppliers that make drivers available to the public.  There are some sellers who don't release drivers for the public, like Atheros, Analog Devices, Broadcom (only for wireless cards), Sigmatel (IDT) and a few others, but your system does not all devices from these suppliers.

Here are the devices that require drivers of your system:

You are using a PCI-E graphics card so the drivers are not necessary for the graphics card Intel integrated, which is automatically disabled when you use the PCI-E x 16 graphics card.  FireWire and USB controller drivers are now provided by Microsoft for OS later to Windows XP SP1, make sure you get those through the operating system, service packs or Windows Update.

To answer your original question, some driver packages can support Vista and Windows XP.  For example, I downloaded a driver Atheros WiFi Dell's who did the support for Windows Vista.  But when I extracted the driver files, it contained drivers, and other files required for both Vista and XP, but the real drivers for Vista are not compatible with Windows XP.

  • Vista 64 bit on Satellite Pro L40

I installed Vista Ultimate 64-bit on my Satellite pro L40 and I downloaded all the necessary drivers for this OS, but I can't use the FN keys and volume on my keyboard.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why they won't work, I had Vista Home Basic on the machine before and they worked very well.

The FN and the other keys work fine it's just the sound that does not work.

    Hello

I checked the page European driver of Toshiba and there are not many Vista 64-bit drivers for this unit L40. Your FN buttons don t work because you didn t install the driver necessary or tool that controls this feature.

I found a tool called Hotkey Utility, which was published in the Vista 32 bit driver section.
You can try to install it on your Vista 64 bit version, but to be honest I m nit sure if it will work
If she will not run, then you must use Vista 64-bit without the functionality of the FN button.

  • virtual serial port? Vista 64-bit, usb, palm 755 p verizon dongle

I have a new Vista 64 bit operating system and I'm having problems that everyone else is still.  Can't hotsync using the cable.  I bought the dongle bluetooth (Kensington) that many have said works.  My phone recognizes the PC.  My instructions on the phone that warm using bluetooth synchronization tells me to set up a virtual serial port.  The instructions are not very clear.  This is where it falls apart for me.  Can someone explain how to configure this virtual serial port?  Thank you.

Well, I'm pleased to announce a successful solution.  On the recommendation of some other son that I left and piece and ioGear GBU321 Bluetooth USB key and Setup was a snap and it works (although SLOOOWLY compared to a connection cable, a while and plug your treo during your first sync).

To setup you do the following (and this can also work for your Kensington):

    • Insert the driver CD
    • Insert the dongle when asked.
    • Install the drivers
    • Pair your device.  Basically, go to the configuration Bluetooth on the Palm screen and select "Trusted Devices".  You will find the bluetooth adapter, select it, and then the Palm or PC will provide or ask a pairing code.  The instructions will guide you through, but basically, you'll want to make sure that the same numbers are registered on both screens (this prevents you from accidentally pairing with some random near the computer)
    • This will actually set up your virtual port for you.
    • You can go to the hotsync Manager and click on "serial" and select the port created in the pairing process.
    • If you don't know which port has been created "Control Panels" and select "Phone and Modem" (assuming that you are in "Classic view").
    • Click on the modem tag and you will see something like 'Standard Modem over Bluetooth link' and next to that it will be the assigned port.

I hope this helps.  I know that I was relieved not to have to trash my Palm or my PC (although when the Pre or iPhone with a physical keyboard comes out all bets are open)

I would like to know if anyone else has handled this problem on this laptop? Is there something that I am missing?

Why the driver of the habit?

I'm an IT admin expert and have run many pieces of hardware in my life so I'm not at a loss to try different tricks and all of them have failed. If anyone can learn an old dog a new trick to get to this loading, I would be more apprciative.

  • Satellite A200-PSAE6E - FN key not working not not on Vista 32-bit

    Hi all

I can't get the FN button to work, no matter how many times I reinstall the software of Toshiba, it doesn't seem to work!

    Anyone got a workaround?

I use 2.40 BIOS and Vista 32 bit

    Hello

By using the Vista operating system on laptop Satellite A200, the FN keys are controlled by Vista Flashcard Utility.
This tool is a part of the added value Vista package and therefore this package needs to be reinstalled on your system!

But before you start with the installation of VAP, the VAP installed older must be removed first.

    Check it out

  • Re: Where to find drivers for XP & Vista 64 bit for Qosmio F50 - 10M

    Hello

I would like to know when toshiba get out the drivers for XP and Vista 64 bit for the Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10 M series.

    Greetz

First of all you can find all THE Toshiba Vista 64-bit drivers on the European driver Toshiba page
Secondly do not all features are available through the Win XP because in many cases, they are only supported by Vista

So if you want to use your devices to high-tech multimedia machine, then you must stay with Vista.

  • Re: Satellite A100-003 - need of Windows Vista 64-bit drivers

I want to upgrade my OS to Vista 64-bit, but I can't find it anywhere
I want the functions to work such as media buttons (stop, play,... etc.)
I got my cell phone as a gift from the Middle East, and now I'm having hard to upgrade

    This is the Satellite A100-003

    Any suggestions?

If the European driver of Toshiba page doesn t provide the driver 64 bit Vista for this laptop, then you have some many other opportunities to visit some 3rd Web sites and collect only drivers to clean hands.

    Good luck

  • Re: Buttons on Vista 64-bit of order Satellite A300-1ND multimedia

    Hello!

My problem is this: I have a laptop Toshiba A300-1ND, and I installed a Windows Vista 64-bit on it. I installed all the drivers from the Toshiba support, including value added package page, which makes the key media work, I think.

My problem is that I can't set up the button on the left edge to turn lighting on and outside (like the Windows pre-installed), instead of inhibition and no inhibition the computer.
I tried to use the configuration utility of the button within the program of Toshiba, but I couldn't manage to make it work.

I would be very happy if someone could help me!

Also, I was wondering, why is provided Toshiba laptop with 4 GB of system memory and a 32-bit operating system that cannot use 3GBs of this memory (because of the video memory of 512 MB I think)? This does not seem very logical to me.

Anyway thanks for your help in advance!

Why not?! There are many people who want to install Vista 64-bit (like you) and then all of the 4 GB would be in use.

    > My problem is that I can't set up the button on the left edge to turn lighting on and outside (like the Windows pre-installed), instead of inhibition and no inhibition the computer.

As far as I know, you can turn off and turn on the light in the BIOS and in Toshiba HWSetup that you could end in the assistance of Toshiba.

I have a laptop A300D-15B, and recently I have installed Win 2008 (32 bit) and installed the Vista 32-bit drivers worked like dream. But when I install the card reader (O2) it crashes (blue screen)?

    any help?

    > But when I install the card reader (O2) it crashes (blue screen)?
Looks like this Vista driver is not fully compatible with Win 2008 Server and therefore you receive and BSOD

Seems you have to use this operating system without this special driver

  • DeskJet 932c with Vista 64 bit, a way to enable printing 2 sides?

I have a Deskjet 932c that prints very well with my Vista 64 bit OS.  HP says that drivers are in the operating system.  When I used this printer with an XP operating system, I got many printing options, including printing 2 sides.  A way to achieve (except printing manually one by one odd number pages and then turning to print even pages)?

    Hello

I guess you are referring to the two-sided printing module, it is available in the driver of in-BONE as well.

Enter the control panel > printers.

Right click on the 932C icon, and then click Properties.

    Click the device settings tab.

Set duplex printing as installed, then the option must appear in the Printing Preferences dialog box.

    Kind regards

  • Error WindowsUpdate_80070424 on vista 64-bit

    Hey,.

I have problems all many from the WindowsUpdate_80070424 error.  I'm running vista 64-bit home premium SP1.  I can't upgrade to SP2, update windows install, install visual c ++ 2008, install video games because of this error.

    Things, I've tried and failed:
    * regedit Checking Bits - they're already active and functional
    * updated windows regedit - started and work in automatic mode
    * Go to start / all programs / accessories. Right-click on the element "Command Prompt" and click on the "Run as Administrator" option.

In the command prompt window, paste the following command.

    REGSVR32% SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG. DLL

    Press ENTER.

You should see a popup that says that the command succeeded.

Exit command prompt and try Windows Update again.

    * various other attempts

The fact is that none of them work with vista 64-bit.

Then I opened the windowsupdate log and attached section which seems relevant.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

    1. This isn't the answer. As I said Modules Windows Installer, you can set as well. Besides a few months I posted solution for TrustedInstaller too in this popular topic:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itprovistasecurity/thread/edfa02fc-8d5b-4f53-b04d-ca966d2355e7

    But...

-probably it is post 100 in this content and probably nobody would read and moderators are too lazy to read & check all proposals for solutions

2 Repair Installation should fix this error too - the best way if you don't know how to solve this problem that everyone order computer format
You can also try the system restore (perhaps that someone has the correct control point)

Sorry, Flavius, but your solution for systems where the Windows Modules Installer service are missing will only help those who have a Vista DVD .

Most OEM does not include one with their systems, only the ability to write a rescue or Recovery DVD , NOT a DVD of the operating system .
Most users will never understand how to extract a copy of WindowsInstaller.exe.

And more English speaking users will have no idea how to follow your steps as it is fractured English , to put it kindly.

That's why they need to contact the Support MS as support will send instructions, a copy of TrustedInstaller, a file of registry for Vista X 64 and the steps to follow to set the permissions correctly to replace TrustedInstaller.exe.

Thus, in order , here are the steps to resolve the error IF the installer of Modules of Windows is listed in the Services console:

    (1) registry c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll from a command prompt
    (2) run sfc/scannow from a command prompt

IF the installer of Modules of Windows isn't in the Service console:

    (3) contact MS Support if 1 and 2 fail
    (4) do an upgrade on the spot, better known to a repair facility, which will require to install all previously installed updates and/or the application of the last Service Pack which has been applied, which includes all of the updates issued before the Service Pack was released.

My DVD is not scratched or damaged, my HD is not damaged or corrupted, my memory is very well according to all the utilities to check this.  I have run chkdsk, Defrag, memory check, I installed this thing in safe mode and copied from the HD DVD and then installed all the geeks of the front line regurgitate when there is a problem.  When it installs it cannot open files, if the installed or those downloaded is not clear.

I have this game on my XP system and it works well, but every time there is a content patch my Vista system has this problem.  I worked around it by copying in the box of XP to Vista last time but this is not successful and operate in other errors.  Downloaded and installed all the patches to Vista without result.  Here are a few mistakes that are happening.  It seems to be progressively earlier whenever I try and patch after you have reinstalled the game.
