He then told me that I need to download the 1.02 patch that will resolve the problem.  But it does not work.

Meanwhile I have: 1. re-installed the game and patch. 2. install the latest Windows updates. But still does not work. I'm now trying to download the latest NVidia driver to see if that helps. Please let me know if there is another question that I'm missing.

I'd like to see if there are driver, such as chipset updates and or video card.

In addition, what type of video card you have? I see you put GTX750, but as much as I know this isn't a good model number, maybe GTX285 or something like that?

  • Crash in Mass Effect 2

I'm loving Mass Effect 2 until it crashed. I did everything I can up to recruit the doctor. When I try to go into quarantine on Aria resort, I get the loading screen and then the game crashes and closes. I have contacted EA, who, so far, have suggested that I update my GPU drivers, decrease the resolution and check the minimum system requirements.

I'm short on a Core2duo 2.4 GHZ (overclocked to 2.8 GHz and stable at 40ºC) 4 GB of DDR2, GTX260X2 896 MB DDR3 RAM, sound card X - Fi Music, 250 GB Samsung HARD drive for the OS and the game installed on a 500 GB Samsung HARD drive.

Up to this point, the game has run perfectly, looks stunning, smooth framerates, with no stutter, file or any hint of a problem with all the settings up. I tried to take all the settings at least, run as administrator, run in compatibility mode for XP2. Nothing works and I've done everything in the game as possible without recruiting the doctor/Professor.

    Please can someone help me?

    Hi Craig Mathieson.

You can try the methods and check them off below if it helps.

Method 1: You can try reinstalling DirectX and check if that helps. The link below will help you do.
    http://support.EA.com/cgi-bin/EA.cfg/php/enduser/olh_adp.php?p_faqid=10720&p_created=1124388332&p_sid=%3C?%20echo%20$ p_sid % 20? 3RD 20%

Method 2: Try to change the game in easy mode, then check if you are able to play. Now if you are able to play then it means that there is a problem with the game thus communicate with his manufacuterer.

Method 3: Reinstall the game and check if the problem still persists. Maybe the game files could be corrupt.

Also, look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.

Measures to check the application event log:

    1. click on start.
    2. in the search box type eventvwr.msc, and then on enter.
    3. now, click Application in the event viewer (local).
    4. now locate the event log on the right side of the event viewer window.

  • Does anyone has found a fix for the black screen of death on Mass Effect 3 on Xbox 360?

My game Mass Effect 3 crashed on Xbox 360.  It freezes and becomes a black screen of death just prior to the start menu.  For some reason, is that xbox live associated profile.  It works on any profile other than the one I used and played through all 3 games.  I spent an hour and a half with xbox live support and they could not solve the problem. They also recognized that I'm not the only one with this problem.  We tried to remove and reinstall my profile, I downloaded my profile on the hard drive of my another xbox 360 console without result. We also moved all the parties backed up to the cloud and remove all content of Mass Effect 3, still no luck. They suggested that I come here and try to find answers and start a rallying cry for a patch to fix this problem.  It's extremely frustrating after playing every game Mass Effect 3 thanks to several times that all of my choices and just saved games be erased by a stupid bug in the game.  I have hundreds, if not thousands of hours invested in the series.  I don't want to start over with Mass Effect 1 and play through it again on a new profile.  Who can say this bug won't happen on my new profile anyway?  Please, if anyone else has this post problem here if you have resolved, or simply to add your voice to those who need this fixed a bug.  Thank you.

  • Surround sound cut during the game Mass Effect 2 on Windows 7 x 64 bit

Original title: Surround sound cut while in games

I gathered all my own office.

Here are a few basic requirements.

Procoessor: AMD Phenom II 955 3.2x4

    Motherboard: Asus M4A77T/USB 3.0

    Graphics card: Nvidia GTX 460

    8 GB ram

    I use a headset usb (Logitech G35 7.1 w surround)

    What happens if tried:

    Update the bios.

Update card drivers his (motherboard onboard)

    Update drivers Logitech G35.

    Patchwork of Mass Effect 2.

    __

In addition, on people of forums to effect mass who use Windows XP disable their hardware acceleration and solve the problem. I can't find this option in Windows 7 x 64.

    :) Help is appreciated...

    Hi korlath,
First, make absolutely certain that your soundcard Control Panel, but also the sound properties in the control panel are properly configured to use the number of channels you want.
If you are still having problems and you want audio equipment, follow these steps:
    a. go to your C:\Users\\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect\Config directory and rename the file to something else BIOEngine.ini.
    (b) launch Mass Effect without running the Config utility. The game will recreate BIOEngine.ini using the default values, and must correctly identify your audio hardware.
    c. in the in-game Audio hardware settings should already be selected - do not change back to audio software or make other changes to the sound settings.
Note: Audio: If checked, the game uses hardware acceleration that improves the audio quality and performance. I recommend you check this option in most cases, unless you are having audio problems or other problems. In particular, note that you will need to check this option if you have a multichannel audio system and use more than 2 channels.
    Hope this information is helpful

OK, but what exactly is, or not, is happening?

The game has an executable named MassEffect.exe and it is in the binary subfolder that is located in the folder that you installed the game. It is in Program Files (x 86) If you install games to the default location.

However, there is also a MassEffectLauncher.exe which shows a screen with different options. One of these options is 'Configure' in the main installation folder.
The MassEffect.exe allows to bypass this screen and goes directly into the game.

There is also a stand-alone MassEffectConfg.exe that brings just a configuration window.
It is also in the binary subfolder.

Making a shortcut with the MassEffect.exe or the MassEffectLauncher.exe is substantially the same as the MassEffect.exe takes longer to load the game as it does if you launch the game from the start Launcher screen.
    .

  • My computer freezes when playing mass effect, I changed graphics cards and the game lasted 2 hours of game, then it froze again.

It's a pc zoostorm, with 2 9800gt graphics cards, it should be able to support these games however at random intervals the pc would freeze with no error message.

    -updated from xp to vista
-a got the update for directx
