Battery Fried of air travel (it even rhymes!)

Hey all,.

I have a problem with my battery. Everything was working fine until about a month. I took my laptop on the plane with me and once I landed, he began acting strangely. Initial problems:

1. the battery seems incredibly quickly;

2. the battery jumped percentages. For example. It would show 55% then jump to 35%.

3. once less at halfway, the computer could just turn off, regardless of the battery percentage shown.

That continued for a few weeks, but it got worse to the point where, if unplugged, the computer could turn off at almost any time to chance. A few days ago the laptop started to turn if the power supply has been removed, even for a fraction of a second. I just looked at the material and I get this indication:

After looking through these forums, I tried a SMC reset. Until then, the battery showed it's 100% charged all the time. As do the SMC reset, the battery fell to 0 per cent and is now in charge. However, it still shows in this reading that battery does not charge and it is fully charged so I'm a bit confused. The computer is out of warranty, so it would be great to have an idea of what might have happened on a plane ride that could have caused this? Can fry the altitude or the scanners somehow battery?

Thanks heaps!

  • OS El Capitan on Macbook Air is blocked even on reboot

Hello, I have a Macbook Air El Capitan that hung, several open applications and is still clinging even to reboot. The mouse does not work, so I can't even close individual applications to try to identify the culprit. Open applications are email, Firefox, calendar, Messages, Kindle, Bluetooth keyboard configuration (unintentionally open). Someone knows how to fix? Force Quit doesn't shut it down just recharged and breaks down until I can close apps correctly. Thank you!

    Hello there DivotGirl,

Looks like you turn on your computer and it responds immediately. I begin by starting in safe mode to delete some system-level caches and perform a disk check and repair if necessary:

Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning

  • keyboard Bluetooth iPad Air drains the battery

I have an Ipad Air and when I connected it to a bluetooth keyboard, the battery very quickly becomes empty and even is he is plugged in and the charge of the day to the next, it does not load. The use of the battery is the home screen containing all resources. The minute I turned off the keyboard or disconnect it from the iPad, the use of the battery is normal.

It is a new show, I never used to have this problem and I don't have this problem with my other iPad. Anyone know why it is and know what to do to fix?

Hello. You could try to forget the keyboard in settings > Bluetooth, then he pairing. Looks like it may not be connected entirely and causing a lot of additional radio traffic.

    Hi all

I had a search on the forum but not found all the messages related to a question, I do experience where the battery will run out at night even when the R700 is powered off.

I recently disabled the option of USB charge but this has not resolved the problem (even if I never used it actually load anything, it seemed to me a good starting point).

I was wondering if this issue has been seen a resolved elsewhere before asking Toshiba to replace battery?

  • Journe air 1000 - GAL of video after conversion to mjpeg

    Hello

I bought 2 journe air 1000 photo frames, and I'm playing video on them.

To convert video files, I use the software provided on the CD supplied with the image - ArcSoft 2.5 video converter, which converts video format MJPEG avi with sound quality poor enough.
And the main problem is that video starts trolling after awhile, there is no synchronization between the audio and video, and eventually it crashes.
Also a few video track just crash right away...

I have 2 files, it is 30 minutes long and the other is long 10 minutes, both have the same symptoms, on the two experienced management.
I tried to use the most recent software converter from arcsoft, different converters, tried to split the files into smaller segments, but nothing helps...

It's just like there is a buffer in the frames that meet the and the video begins to lag... someone at - he experienced this?
Maybe there's some other codec that supports this frame except mjepg? I tried a few (mpeg4, divx, xvid), but it did not work, he does not even play mov, just avi mjpeg...

    Any ideas how to fix?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Have you tried to convert the film to another format?
Air travel 1000 supports the Motion JPEG (.) AVI. (MOV), MPEG 4, WMV, H.263, H.264 (TBD) formats
Maybe you should try to convert the movie to AVI or MOV format.

  • Proposal of travel charger

I'm leaving a good amount, on different continents and countries. I love the kit of travel Macbook charger with the cards I need. However, I often end up wrestling with the limited number of electrical outlets and would like to have a combination of a macbook charger, ipad and iphone.

So here is my rather trivial idea, WHICH IS by the PRESENT DIVULGUE LOAD for UNIMITED FREE USE:

Do a combination of special travel charger, which charges all of the above. Essentially, it could be a small Macbook air, with 2 USB ports included, travel charger so that I could connect 2 iphones or iphone 1 and 1 ipad at the same time. It doesn't have to be a very fast load; Typically, even a slow charge works very well at night. The size should not increase since the Macbook air travel charger.

  • Satellite 1800-100: battery light is still orange flashing, not charging

    Hello
I have a S1800 Satellite laptop series and I used it for a long time. But yesterday, I'm very disappointed by a strange event. Now I have no solution, please help...

Situation: While my laptop was working in battery mode (no air-con plugged), I was copying some files from my HARD drive, then suddenly portable inside out, I thought it happened because the accusation was over and I plugged adapter to load as usual, but NO charge!

Battery light FLASHES with the orange color and not charging, when the AC adapter is connected, the laptop works normal without error but if I unplug the AC adapter, the laptop turns off immediately. This shows that even though it is plugged in for 6 hours, but without costs as I said there is no advance fees.

I got this new situation and my local Toshiba service rejected my request due to the old mode of my laptop.

    My last chance is here

    Help, please.

    Best regards...

    Hello

Well, if the battery LED blinks orange indicating a low battery charge.
If the led blinks during the adapter is plugged, so in my opinion, the battery cannot be charged. Maybe the battery is dead. This is possible because you can recharge the battery, about 500 times. After this period, the battery will lose performance and dead.

  • Recommended for battery does not charge if plugged in charger and the system is activated in map mode.

Anyones answer is welcome to the 21/08/11.

Thanks to one that meets responsibly!

    Hi Raymond,

    Possibilities:

    1. bad adapter. Check the status in the BIOS. That's what it was when this happened to me about 4 months ago. The battery even though the battery was fine and worked fine llaptop off voltage AC, BIOS did not recognize it as the appropriate adapter type and therefore not allow.

    2. bad battery. They go bad--and sometimes a little quickly (as you will notice that if you have an extended warranty on the laptop, it does not include the battery). Check the status in the BIOS. Remove the battery, use the air to empty the room and a soft cloth to wipe the contacts. Reinsert the battery and see if that helps.

3 motherboard problem with connectors or wiring between them. Very hard to tell her that's it--usually replaced if replacing the other two does not work.

It is unlikely to be software-related. This reeks of hardware problem. Contact the manufacturer's technical assistance service and see if they have any suggestions on how to better ID the cause (and get costs for spares for each of the elements so that you know).

I have listed them in my view of probability. You of that or the other need to find someone with the same computer you that can let you borrow the battery and the adapter long enough to test (then you will probably be able to IDENTIFY the problem). Or you can buy the pieces one at a time and see which works (I hope the first) - and try to get a guarantee of full refund for any reason, so you don't spend money on parts, that you don't need. You must send it to the manufacturer for repair or take it to a local computer repair shop good reputation for service.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

PS Si the adapter is plugged into a surge protector, try a different surge protector, or plug it directly into the wall to rule out a defective surge protector.

  • Cisco IP Communicator with Bluetooth headset has fast battery drain

Hi all, hoping to exploit the collective knowledge here to find an answer to a question that we live with bluetooth headsets with quickly draining the battery.

Environment: We run Cisco UCM 10.5 and have some users with Cisco IP Communicator 8.6.4. Computers are a mixture of office/computer laptop with Windows 7 32/64 - bit. Most are bluetooth headsets, Plantronics Voyager legend UC with some older models of Plantronics. These use a bluetooth dongle separated with flag State. This helmet is announced as having 7 hours of talk time and 10 days standby. Plantronics software is set to Audio enabled detection and headphones to maintain for PC connection as it is disabled.

Behaviour: Normally, when the bluetooth headset is not in use, the light blue and the helmet is considered as standby. When a call, the indicator light is a slow blink showing the helmet is in active use.

Question: When not in a call, or when the CPIC is even launched, the indicator light is a blue blicking and users can hear 'air' in the helmet, even when not off the hook. This led the helmet to be in Active mode and thus draining the battery at a higher rate. Even if option software Plantronics headphones maintain link PC is off, it acts as if it was. The only way that we were able to work around this problem is in the Plantronics software to disable Audio detection enabled. This leads to the user needing to press the answer on the headset button and the answer button on the software phone which isn't ideal if users are up and on.

So having said all this, is there a resolution to allow the headset to use with CPIC without the helmet being still active?

It comes to video over IP, please move to the appropriate area.

  • Battery drain / ability / sudden stop (iPhone 6-6 s)

My battery keeps showing different levels of load. He jumps abruptly from 29% to 1% in the blink of an eye and then stay at that level for half an hour (even by playing on its maximum intensity youtube videos)

In my view, this is a software error and the battery is actually OK? Any ideas what this problem is called 'officially '?

    My research:

I've been following and looking for the solution of this problem for over a year now (6 cans cut randomly with the left battery iphone or Re: IOS 9.2 fast battery draining issue for example)

On another recent thread, I've seen the trick to five (free App) battery life a try and I also did a "recalibration" procedure, which I found at http://www.appledystopia.com/how-to/calibrate-iphone-battery/

My findings with screenshots of battery life

    (1) 19:48 - evening left power capacity of just 855mAh and 0% (or 1%)

Youtube videos, I played for a while, but it is not stopped by himself for a while. After that it became finally black:

    (2) load with my official charger + cable provided with the iPhone 6: phone instantly displays the Apple logo and boots. It climbs to 6% (and the ability of 1094) instantly

    (3) morning after full load

Capacity remained more or less the same (now at 100% load)

04:04 hours and used light (surf) during a phone call, capacity is up to 1167mAh in charge of the battery fell to 58/61%

    (5) after that the phone went to about 30%, and I've done a partial recharge in the afternoon. I don't remember follow the battery and when I stopped to load (somewhere in the 80-90%) The power was now back to 1412mAh

What happens here? Can anyone help me debug this. Is this just a broken battery?

Note: This is with an iPhone 6 but I had similar problems with an iPhone 6s. Both use the leather of Apple to the official address case. The problem with sudden closures has been particularly bad in winter btw.

If someone else should find it, here's the solution I came up with that

After two years (without any warranty and AppleCare more) the battery was at 589 load cycles

Search online for "iPhone 6 battery replacement walter Galán" I found a guide and a battery of spare + parts

After 45 minutes of work, that's what I ended up with: a perfectly working again iPhone:

I hope this helps. I suspect still hot/cold broke my battery (perhaps in combination with a power draining the CPU at a certain point, improvements iOs 9). Anyway, the new battery has been behaving perfectly for the last 2 weeks...

  • Recommended installation for the stability of the regions hot & warm even under Safari until Mac, cooling system is innovated. For a more Durable Mac

Hello. It is best to combine a stable software (10.11.6 is stable to this day) and a cool hardware, even with Safari (with many tabs). A stable software is not enough, a cooled optimal equipment is also essential; It creates a stable holistic system.

Until Apple, miniaturize perhaps, a sort of refrigeration in the circuits themselves (coolant will be not compact) due to the warming of the planet (some countries reaching a strong history of 46 to 65 degrees Celsius), cooling fan is not viable because it is so hot that he uses room air, regardless of how fast the fans spin (which would be just like a set of dry hair to the maximum) is not enough. An already hot air will get even hotter once Macs is used for long hours that could damage the GPU in particular, or perhaps even deform boards disconnect some circuits even or deform inside fleas which includes also circuits in them. Heat can also soften the welds in the Mac.

It is recommended to run fans manually with a fan control application, even if the Mac is new (over the past six years the iMac I have had 2 replacements of GPU - this is most probably because of the heat and lack of ventilation in the Macs.) Apple may have more emphasis on function and either looks-it can't be 50-50. Replacement could cost if not for Apple Care which is good to have), if you are in an area that is warm or hot, at least 2000 rpm which seems to be a good balance between cooling and too much noise (it keeps the GPU minus 70 Celsius, especially). At 2000 rpm, the wear on the fans is not the only striking, it's usually only 47% of the maximum rpm of Apple fans (good fans are usually evaluated during maximum 5 years running 24/7 all year). But the best is to turn off all the gadgets to make noise to make the quiet place and adjust the fans (with a minimum of 2000 RPM) as quickly as possible without being noisy for the user. It is better to add extra cooling in the back (like a small electric fan or fans of cooling for laptops) for maximum stability if you're not in a cold air-conditioned room.

It is good to reset PRAM then MSC after the fans and password recovery to use disk utility (two types of repair) manually before booting into your main operating system.

    God bless you. Revelation 21:4

Directly from the plug of the iMac:

    Operating temperature: 50 ° to 95 ° F (10 ° to 35 ° C)

If you try to work beyond these limits, good luck!

There's this thing called 'air conditioners' cool the environment.
