Master Page use problem?
Hi all
I have created Master Pages, as shown in the image below. normal use Master Page are left/right.
But for the current Document, all master pages should be wide right & left wide.
Is there a way to set up Master Pages, so that it starts right off and then goes wide left and then repeats this process?
Or do I have to set manually, every page right right wide and each left wide left page?
Thank you.
Hi FieryPantone,
Thanks for your reply. Format > Page Layout > apply master pages actually resets all pages to the default left/right Page.
So what I did was to Format > Page Layout > Master Page use, then applied Custom wide left on all of the Pages on the leftof the currently used.
And then returned to Format > Page Layout > Master Page use, then applied Custom wide right to all the currently used Law Pages.
It worked. I repeated this process if necessary.
Thanks for your reply. He likes a lot.

Master page + alignment problem
Hello
Basically, I work on my site and I created an A-master page. Then I realized that I wanted to have a different master page because I wanted to MAKE another level to appear with the main master page. I'll do that for 3 subheadings more. It should be clear with the photos that I've provided (the right image is the homepage)
Anyway. When I click on "Editor" he's going to the B-Master page, but this move a few centimeters down. I have reproduced the A-master page, it should be the same alignment. I had problems with the creation of the site where I had to group them so that it works correctly, so I tried this as a solution, but it did not work.
Any help is appreciated.
I thought about it. This is because the header at the top was not in the same position to the other. (God knows why it was not, because I have duplicate pages.)
I think that when I was inserting a YouTube embed player should have played a little with it. I'm not sure.

I changed the background image in one of my master pages. The background image is put into my background layer, which is below my main layer. Just two layers, background and main. Everything seems fine with my dependent pages to the master page to the:
1. I resize the main text on the page frame. The text disappears and I have an error of overset text. Even if I make the bigger picture.
2. I add an image (main layer) on the text, expected the text to surround. All the text in the frame disappears and I have one in excess.
Change the text works fine.
If I put the block of text to ignore the dressing, I can resize the image. Of course, I can't add a picture and not expect to wrap.
I don't see anything crazy when I look at the text in the story editor.
It isa combination of text wrap settings, keep the options (probably in the paragraph styles, at least within the parameters of paragraph) and preferences are used to define this envelope is only applied to the layers below (a setting I would never recommend because it's only for converted Quark documents).
BTW: Why not you use a block of plain text with 3 columns instead of 3 single column text blocks? Would not use the extended functionality.

Lose the Master Page assignments after import layout
I have a book with about 40 chapters, and I'm trying to change the page layout. I update the master pages in Chapter 1 and then use the import formats to import master pages in the other chapters.
However, when I go in the other chapters, the first pages lose their 'first' assignment page and just came with a normal allocation of L/R.
If I Master Page use manually and change the first "chapter" page it works OK, but who will become a bit tedious for those chapters.
Is it possible to keep the existing master page to use assignments when importing to page layout?
Thank you!
John
Ah, interesting. Of course, during the test of this morning, he had not this problem.
But your message prompted me to finally understand that cryptic MasterPageMaps and so I made a chart like this, which seems to do the trick:
Paragraph tag name Right hand Master Page (or master Front Page) Left Master Page Indicator of rank (single, on the pages up to this amended) Comments Titrechapitre First Unique Titrechapitre page as the first master page Thanks as always for your quick and helpful answer!

How to upgrade an excerpt with a new Master Page in RH9?
Is anyway to automatically apply a new Master Page to an excerpt? I cannot choose a master page using the Properties window in the topic (in a snippet).
The extract is not a style sheet attached itself to RH9. Your
very likely tables use a style inline instead of a table style of the
CSS. In this case, you must manually change the extracts like the CSS
cannot override the styling of the table in the code snippet itself.
Kind regards

'Room for the heads side' on the Master Pages does not not on body pages.
In a new document, I created master pages, each with a text frame type of the "model for Page body text, frame 'each with the same tag stream."
For each block of text, I enabled property of "heads of Lounge next door.
When I apply master pages to the body of the document (Format > Page Layout > Master Page use > Use Master Page: > Apply), the property of "heads of salon for side" disappears.
Does anyone know why my text frames do not follow the format of applied master page?
I use Framemaker 11.
> For each block of text, I enabled property of "heads of Lounge next door.
If I remember a recent discussion, you must enable that via:
Format > Page layout > column layout
[*] The heads side room
and it is a document, not just for chosen setting the Master Pages.

2 vertical bars using the master page
If I use a master page from mouse shows two bars vertical in the browser. How can I solve this?
This problem only occurs when you use a master page
Hello Edi,
This normally happens when you add any code iframe in Muse design.
If you are using any 3rd party code that creates an iframe then you will have to style code iframe.
However if it is a page by default to Muse without 3rd party widget or iframe code, I will propose you to publish the file and let us know the direct link here so that we can look at the site codes.
Thank you

I begin barely using Muse on my iMac and I saw a bunch of tutorials. A couple of things already I have followed with great interest and that they work, but one real big problem is this: I created a bunch of buttons psd with the functional States to link to a registration form and social networks. They are all on the master page (I'm only using a master page to date). On my home page, I made a series of images with text scrolling superimposed to scroll at a faster speed. Looks awesome. Problem is the buttons that are found on all the main pages because they are on the master page moved to a different location on the home page. They still work, but they are in the wrong place. I can't select them. On the master page, they are always in the right position. Any ideas please? I tried to quit and reload.
Unless the content is included in the page footer area in master, do not change location. Make sure that there are no used html embed, if so then remove it and then check.
If everything is fine also same issue, then please post a few screenshots of the page master and the homepage in design so listen to excerpts and links to the live site.
Thank you

Master Page Items question: I use master pages for a 60 page document and just found out that some of my master page items are multiplying! There are some boundaries on the pages, and some of them are constantly a quantity apparently without end on top of the other. For example, I replace to change the color of the border and notice a black there's below him so I deleted the extra and there is another and another and another... EEK. I can easily hide them, BUT I fear they will lead to complications in the case of pre-press printing. What is the cause? What can I do to prevent it? How can I get rid of the stack-up?
It's always haapening, if you substitute any element on the page and later master you reapply the same or another master. I would NEVER say to replace any itme master page in the page. Instead create another master based on the first, make the substitutions and apply this master. Substitutions on the pages should be avoided in all cases, not only for the problem you described above, other issues of accessibility will also come into play.

Using a little code on Master Page to fill the page names in the text box?
I was wondering if Muse has any codes that you might put in a box of text on the main Page so that all pages using this master to have their name filled in automatically on this page (e.g. a Page title - about us, Contact, etc.) instead of manually add a text box on each page in a particular space. The short code would make reference in the name of the page on the Site Plan and fill in this text on the page.
I tried searching using different formulations, but have not found solutions to this particular problem.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
You can use getfunction to pull up the page title and display it on the page, if it is only on display name of current page on the body of the page, insert this code into html master page properties:
