• Preferences in Bridge and Camera RAW does not

  I'll put up a new Macbook Pro, end 2013 15 ", 10.9.2

  CS6 Production Premium, also have Indesign CS6, LR5, Acrobat Pro 11. Camera RAW is version 8.4. Everything is up-to-date.

  Bridge and Camera RAW preferences do not work properly. Bridge prefs-related bridge display, for example theme color, text under tiles, places preferred, etc... all work fine. Pref. Bridge opens and closes correctly without error. "Double click on edits Camera RAW settings in Bridge" does not. Photoshop starts to open Camera RAW regardless of whether or not this box is checked. The camera RAW preferences are not open. By selecting "Camera RAW préférences" of the bridge does nothing. Camera RAW seems to work fine hosted by Photoshop.

  I tried a new user with the same results.

  What's up with that? Anyone else seeing this? Solution?

• Confused by a preference of bridge in camera raw

  I'll set up the preferences for the bridge to open JPEG in camera raw, and raw images.

  There are 2 sets of preferences in the preferences of regular Bridge and camera raw preferences.

  I understand the camera raw preferences, where I can have it turn off TIFF, but open all the JPEGs or JPEGs that were processed in camera raw.

  However, the regular Bridge preferences there is an option to: "Double click changes settings of the Bridge Camera Raw" - can someone explain what is this preferences?

  Camaera Raw can be hosted in Bridge or Photoshop.  If this preference is enabled, double click on a raw file will open the Bridge ACR (Photoshop does not open,) if not ticked then Photoshop will be invoked and ACR will begin hosted from within Photoshop.

• A matter of preferences/settings basic DW

  It's probably very basic, I can't find the right area of preference DW specify it in (relative newbie user DW here). At present, when I drag an image from the files Panel on my layout in the code, DW or not default step specifies the width and height attributes. How can I tell it to do by default? Thank you.

• CS3 Bridge - program of preferences crashes

  I can't seem to open the 'Preferences' in bridge - everytime I try, bridge closes immediately. I don't have this problem if I select Camera Raw preferences, nor if I select preferences in Photoshop.

  I'm using CS3 on Mac OS Tiger running. Ive had the program installed a couple of years and never had this problem before.

  Whenever bridge has other then before the first thing to try is to restart

  Fill all by pressing option (alt) key and click Refresh Preferences.

  I use Bridge CS6 on a Mac with Mac OS 10.9.2. Suddenly doesn´t bridge show previews of Tif images. It s also impossible to fulfill all the metadata. The program also said that the isn´t tag image no matter what color profile. I Don t have these problems with JPEG files, only with the Tif images. I saw even not on RAW images. Anyone know what can be the problem?

  Back to the OP, Adobe made this patch that solved the problem for me:

  Well, almost.

  TIFF with a .tif extension is legible; With extension .tiff TIFF is not.

  But rename/edit the patches .tif file name extension.

  Adobe patch also corrects the problem that I had with Camera Raw preferences in Bridge that I can now access them.

  Im trying to install a trial version for adobe elements first and when its about to start installing, it says to close adobe bridge (bridge.exe). He always says that when im at the end of the installation of something. This only happens on my windows vista computer. but not the rest of my computer Please HELP!

  Open the Task Manager and click the processes tab.  Search no matter which instance of bridge.exe and close it.

  You probably have set up bridge to start on login and it runs in the background.  Can change it in the Advanced preferences of the bridge.

  In order to save the photos for copyright, I need a list of text, pictures to be registered. All photos are in a bridge collection. It may be a Word or Excel document, but any list of text will do.

  Regular Collections are just text files and are located at the following locations:-

  Mac: Users / [user] / Library/Preferences/Adobe/Bridge CC/Collections

  Windows 7: users / [user] / AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Bridge CC/Collections

  Just an update... I noticed that El Capitan was automatically installed a ton of various foreign language on my system fonts - in many places, in particular, a ton of Asian and Hindi fonts.

  I noticed when I opened the font book to search for a font I want to use...

  and so I spent the day to uproot them and those that I was able to disable (some could not be disabled, they live in the OS system fonts folder).

  for now, which seems to have solved my problem, if there was a bad police among them - or just the volume of additional fonts has been overwhelming my system, I don't know. (I have a ton of fonts on my system already, as I am a designer).

  It's a mystery, I don't know why they have been installed, or why policies would affect the bridge, but so far, bridge seems more stable and got no hung up as I did.

  When I try to open Adobe Bridge CS5, it does not. I tried to alt, ctrl, shift to purge the cache and it won't let me. It seems to be stuck trying to open a file.  All this started when I used a new 'my book', external hard drive and began transferring the files.   Please reset the preferences of Bridge back to the default values. Reference: troubleshooting errors, freezes | Adobe Bridge | Windows, Mac OS

  You can manually remove the bridge Cache.

  [Location: C:\User\[User name] \Appdata\Adobe\Bridge CS [version number] \Cache

  move the cache to the trash folder.

  Note: On Windows, select the show hidden files to see this place. See to view the files, folders, file name extensions. Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7.

  There is no other product like bridge CC for Elements.But you can work of bridge with 13 elements.

  In CC bridge if you're going to Adobe Bridge > Preferences > file types Associations you can set Elements13 to the default value for various Types of files

  Here is a screenshot of the preferences of bridge CC

  Once set items as the default editor for any type of file editor. You can edit your photos in Photoshop elements of the bridge.

  When you have disabled the cache, did you do via preferences > Cache Purge? Rarely, this method seems to work for everyone. It hasn't for me, because he never removes all hidden. But now press Cmd-Opt-Shift/Ctrl-Alt-Shift while launching Bridge and purge the cache and preferences will generally produce as clean a sweep as possible without going through the uninstall/reinstall bit. You need to configure your preferences for bridge all over again, but that shouldn't take too long.

  I found a different thread on the same problem by searching for AIGPUSniffer and found the answer to my problem and the solution. I post here for anyone following this thread. Just to clarify, in Associations to file/Preferences of bridge types, scroll down to Illustrator. You will see that it is set to open in AIGUSniffer. Click on the little arrow and choose Illustrator instead, so that all Illustrator files will be opened with Illustrator default. Bridge works now.
