Maximum hard drive

I have a HP Palivion P6000, model P6620F, 1 TB HDD, 6 GB Ram, Win7 Premium 64 Bit. I want to increase the amount of hard drive memory.  What is the Maximum I can get with this system. Thank you

Hillcofa, welcome to the forum.

There are 2-5, 25 "drive bays and bays 3 - 3.5".  You can check how many are available.  There are 4 SATA connectors on the motherboard.  Check how many are available.  You should be able to add at least 1 more 1 TB hard drive to the computer.  I am not sure that the limit is a single hard drive.

Y at - it a maximum size of hard drive for this model?

    Hello

There is certainly a HARD drive size limitation the point is that the BIOS supports all HARD drive sizes and to be honest I don t think a 25GB HDD would go 0.
I think it s all just too big

Unfortunately, Toshiba doesn't provide details about the possible HARD drive s max
I looked a bit of a found that the M200 was equipped with 60 GB HARD drive
That's why an 80 or maybe a 100 GB HARD disk too should t be a problem

  • DC7700: Size maximum hard drive on HP DC7700?

I recently upgraded to a 2 TB to 3 TB (after the death of the 2 TB).

I also upgraded from Win7 for Windows 10 at the same time.

A week later, the operating system won't start.  When I look at the disc (he jumped into another office) and it the disc seemed to only be formatted in ran 2 TB Seagates SeaTools.  It is passed all tests ok.

Trying to get Win10 to do a repair of the car.  Failed.  Tried to update (save user settings)... failed.  Tried to wipe & re-install... also failed.

I was wondering if there is a problem with the maximum size of hard drive in the BIOS.  Running 1.06 (the latest news of 2011?).

I hope someone could shed some light on this?

    Thank you

    John.

    Hi, John:

There are actually a few problems...

    1. you must not exceed 2 TB for a boot disk when your PC lacks a UEFI BIOS (which is not the dc7700).

    2. If the HARD drive is a SATA III (6.0 Gbps) by car, there is a very good chance he's one of the symptoms listed in this document from HP below...

    http://h20566.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.Oid=3718645&docid=emr_na-c02711513&lang=en&cc=us

I had the same thing happen to me (the first question is in the document) on my dc7800 when I installed a new 500 GB WD Caviar Black HDD, SATA III HARD disk.

W7 has worked for awhile and then the disc has not been recognized more.

I assumed that the drive is defective, so I RMA'd it, and the other does exactly the same thing.

I swapped the 500 GB of disk with a disk of 1 TB SATA III coming from my 8200 Elite CMT.  The 8200 Elite came from the factory with 1 TB HARD drive.  1 elite 8200 than TB HARD drive worked perfectly well in my dc7800 and the WD 500 GB drive has worked perfectly well in my 8200 Elite (which has a SATA III HARD disk controller).

IMO, the unrecognized drive is because of this incompatibility problem described in the document of support.

For more information on disks larger than 2 TB, read this white paper from HP below.

You should be able to use the 3 TB, such as a data reader drive if you format to GPT, provided that the incompatibility problem does not exist when it is not be used as a startup disk.

Curiously, the dc7900 and 8000 Elite PC, I, do not have that issue with discs hard non - HP SATA III - even if their controllers are only SATA II as well.

  • Maximum hard drive size in the Lenovo 3000 N100

    I have Lenovo 3000 N100

It came with 100 GB hard drive 5400 RPM

What is the maximum hard disk that can be used. Is it possible to only 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM?

    Thanks for the answer

    Abraham

No, I'm this based on the Avenue of the planets. Kidding.

I base this experience with laptops cheaper and lower quality supporting better hard disks, processor, etc. etc.

Also the fact that some N100 configurations included a 250 GB SATA 5400 RPM hard drive. No reason why will not work a 7200 RPM drive.

  • Maximum HARD drive size in a ThinkCentre M52 8113

    Hello.

First of all, I'm sorry that my English is not good.

I need to change my ThinKCentre HARD drive. It comes with a SATA HDD, size: 80Gb and I want to put a larger HARD drive. What is the maximum size allowed by the BIOS? ¿Does, it supports a SATA2 HARD disk?

    Thank you

    Mauricio

I have 320 GB and 640 GB HARD drive in my 8113 M52 and it works fine.  The site says Intel 945 chipset used in the 8113 provides a SATA II interface.  My HARD drives are also SATA II.

I've updated the BIOS using the download on the Lenovo support site.

  • Maximum hard drive that can be installed in a Compaq Presario SR1500NX desktop?

I have an old Compaq Presario SR1500NX of Office I want to configure it as a server at home.  Currently, it has the original hard drive (80 GB).  I am trying to find out what the maximum capacity HD I can install it.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello

The motherboard has 2 SATA ports, I have no idea why HP installed a drive HARD IDE 80 GB port in the first place. If you plan to reuse the IDE port, you can get up to 137 GB only. You can install drive HARD 160 GB or more, but you need to divide first and then combine it later, it is a very long way.

Why not install the controller SATA 1 TB and keep intact 80 GB. The machine has 2 HARD drives at the end.

    Kind regards.

  • Maximum HARD drive size on a Satellite 1110-Z16

Is there a description for 1, 50-TRAD Bios Update?

    Hello

I don t think that this laptop and the BIOS will recognize 120 GB HARD drive.
According to some information in the internet, the phone supports up to 40 GB HARD drive.
The problem is that Toshiba does not have official information about the sizes of disk HARD max.
It seems that you have to test

  • Pavilion M8530F Maximum hard drive recognized.

I am interested in buying a 3 or 4 TB Seagate hard drive, probably, that is the same model as the computer came with.  The computer will recognize the new hard drive?

I bought a WD 2 TB harddrive, which recently failed.  When I received it's new, the computer would not properly format the hard drive.  I had to plug in a removable drive and shaped this way.  Once it has been formatted I could then pile it on the HP computer and it works normally.  But reformats later will have to be done on the removable drive.

Computer was shipped with a hard drive of the Nvidia 750,2 G band.  So, that is the max, that will see the computer and the format successfully?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Yes, I tried 2 TB or less.  The M8530f is a not the UEFI bios so you won't be able to use a 3 TB to full capacity as boot drive.  You should be able to use it as a reader only hard data with few exceptions closely.

Take a look at this brief Hitachion the drives of 2 TB. Why Hitachi?  I have six Hitachi hard drives, ranging from 1.5 to 3.0 to.  Seagate did a good hard drive and I'm sure you can find similar technical information on the use of HDs that exceed 2 TB.

Drivers aren't going to solve a hardware faulty motherboard problem.

  • Envy 17 t J000 - maximum hard drive size and speed

I'm going to put a 2nd hard drive into the open space in my Envy 17 t-j000.

    The States of Maintenance and Service Guide;

Hard drives Supports 6.35 cm (2.5 in.) 9.5 mm hard disks (. 37-in) and thicknesses of 7.0 mm (. 28 - in) (all hard drives use the same bracket)

    Customer-accessible

    Serial ATA

    Supports the following drives:

    ● 1 TB 5400 RPM, 9.5 mm

    ● 750 GB 5400 RPM 9.5 mm

    ● 500 GB 5400 RPM 9.5 mm and 7.0 mm

    Configurations to two hard disks:

    ● 2 TB: (1 TB 5400 RPM x 2)

    ● 1500GO: (750 GB 5400 RPM x 2)

This seems to mean that I cannot use a single hard drive 2 TB 2 and cannot use a 7200 RPM drive.

Is this correct? Bios denominator do not allow more than a drive of 1 TB or the 7200 RPM?

CouldI partition just the 2nd 2-1 TB disk?

Or the manual simply means that the standard unit of HP is not provided with larger than these sizes and I could actually use a 2 TB in the Bay of 2nd?

It's the last... the list says just what HP sale: it does not describe a limitation of the system. However, I do not think that yet, the market offers a 2 TB drive that fits the available space. 2 TB 2.5-inch SATA drives I've seen are too thick. 7200 rpm or hybrid SSD; No problem.

To add a second drive you'll need a second hard drive enclosure and cable.

  • Tecra 9000 - HARD drive upgrades

I have a Tecra 9000 and I want to spend the HARD drive, I would like to ask in a 80 GB drive. Does anyone know what I'm looking for? The specifications will be? and if the HARD drive is insert in the Slim SelectBay adapter? Thanks in advance

    Hello

According to the specs of this device comes with 30 GB maximum HARD drive unfortunately there is no public document what capacity max you can use, but I think that the HDD with 40 or 60 GB should work well.

More info on which you can get the service or even some offering online partner. Google a bit. You will find a large number of them.

The laptop HDD 2.5 is big and it will fit SelectBay adapter.

  • Maximum number of external hard drives

    Hello

I started on a project long-term digitization of the hours and hours of video, including the film, Beta, VHS tapes to mini tape and State standards strong HD cameras player collected for almost 50 years. My question is this; is there a limit to how many external hard drives, I can connect to my iMac (27 ' 5 K maxed out processor and card and 8 GB memory graphics and an old 24 "2.8 Ghz core 2 duo with 4 GB of memory).

I am willing to increase the memory on the machine of 5K, but the memory of the older machine's maximum.

I currently have 11 external drives connected through 2 of the best powered USB hubs that I can find, each of these flows into one of each machines USB connector, but readers are fill up very quickly. Wouldn't be better to divide the number of readers through additional hubs therefor splitting of the inputs with 2 USB taken numbers on each machine? Due to the VERY disorganized way content was initially done I need to access all the drives so I can remove the clips, etc I need to properly edit the raw content.

I hope someone can advise me on this issue.

    Blackrockguy.

You're not likely to use all these readers * at the same time *, so why risk connecting it all? To test the limits?

It may work correctly, or there may be a power problem (especially if some readers do not have their own power supply).

It seems more prudent to use the readers, you need (and back them up safely!), store them and then use other readers.

  • What is the maximum size of HARD drive, I use in my dc7600 CMT

I use a HP dc7600 CMT, which works well after the upgrade to a Samsung 128 GB SSD Intel Pentium D 3.4 GHz, 4 GB of RAM and an AMD Radeon HD 6450. I'm under Win 8.1 Pro x 64, with the most recent upgrade and have absolutely no problem. Now, I want to add a second internal HDD and I wonder what is the maximum size that I can go to. I can't go up to 2 TB, or am I limited to a lower number? 1 TB? 500 GB? 250 GB?

Will be happy to help here, especially if he actually tried to apply in practice.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards

    Hello:

In theory, you'd be limited to 2 TB.

The biggest HARD drive I have ever installed in my dc7600 CMT was a 1 TB of HDD, so I can't confirm that a 2 TB drive will absolutely work.

  • Tecra S3 - 153 Maximum capacity of HARD drive replacement

Does anyone know hwo to find that info or what would be the maximum capacity for TECRA S3-153 PTS30E-0TD03S?

    Hello

Tecra S3-153 supports the SATA controller.
As far as I know that the SATA controller is not limited, so, theoretically, you should be able to use HARD drive sizes 2.5 SATA; 250 GB and more
