How can we export itno csv data file for oracle forms
Hello
How can we export itno csv data file for oracle forms
For example. I have the block called A.what never the data displayed on a block, when I click on a button, displays the block data, must be exported to the csv file.
My application is running on the unix operating system.
Please help on this.
First of all. What is your version of forms (for example: 11.1.2.2.0 not 11g). Finally, who will use the .csv file? If it is a user on their client computer - CLIENT_TEXT_IO TEXT_IO or WebUtil are standard packages used to export data to a file of Oracle Forms.
The amount of data to be exported? If you export only a couple hundred lines - export of Froms will be OK. If you export more lines than that (300 + lines) then the export will be extremely slow to your username. Keep in mind that forms is not designed to perform data exports - there are better tools available for this...

What is the maximum number of data warehouses in a system of Vcenter?
What is the maximum number of data warehouses in a system of Vcenter?
I had a look at highs of configuration in http://www.VMware.com/PDF/vSphere4/R40/vsp_40_config_max.PDF , he lists100 in the section of SMI-S
SMI-S section list max number of ESX host as 100, although it is 300 in the maximum of vcenter server. Should I look for in the section of SMI-S?
Only if you plan to use SMI - if she does not go with the maximum rates for vCenter - and you are correct to look at the number of hosts since it is the ESX hosts that communicate to the SAN not vCenter-

Reading excel data file in Oracle form data blocks
Hi all
I want to read the data from the excel file in the data block of the module of the form. There are many resources available that explain how to put the data in oracle forms in the excel sheet, but I can't find a single resource to achieve this functionality. Can someone please help me get around this problem. Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance
BilalBilal,.
There is little documentation available through My Oracle Support, which shows how to read an Excel file in a form, but you need a support contract with Oracle to access the document (how to read data from an EXCEL worksheet in a form using WebUtil Client_OLE2 [813535.1 ID]).I've seen this issue come up in the forum from time to time, so I wrote a small form demo which illustrates playback in Excel in a form. Discover forms: how to read an Excel file in a form. This demonstration uses the WebUtil library, so you must make sure have WebUtil correctly configured in the Forms Designer, as well as on your application server.
Hope this helps,

What is the maximum number of messages/files that Thunderbird can handle?
I plan to migrate from Outlook (2007) to Thunderbird (on a PC MsWin7 - Ultimate 64-bit). Unfortunately, I have a lot of historical emails that I still have and periodically reference; Currently, these are several PST files. Reading some of your prior support questions, I discovered that Thunderbird use monolithic mail a database, apparently mapped in the structure of normal file/folder of the operating system (i.e., anything that the user selectable, as supply of PST files); but that Thunderbird will suck in all messages from Outlook PST files during installation, assuming that all of him are open at the time of the installation of Thunderbird (?).
QUESTION: Which is the case, is there the ALL LIMITS on the number of files or messages that Thunderbird can handle?
No, I really am aware, other than the available disk space on the computer.
The limit of 4 GB (per folder) on local files was lifted, but I don't know that I hope the fix. SO think 4 GB as a limit on the size of the folder.
I'm not aware of any practical limit to the number of accounts. I've heard hundreds and dozens of personally.
I guess that the file system file size limit still applies, but because it is in windows 7 from 16 to 256 TB in Windows 8, I don't think it's really a matter of concern. (I have not heard a single hard drive this size still).
With optional mailDir structure to store messages in Thunderbird 38 (a mail a file), then even this limit is theoretical, otherwise than for the overall index and the index file. Note that this is an option for 'New' accounts, those not imported and is not the default.

sqlloader to load two tables of the single data file in a single operation
Oracle 11.2.0.3 SE - One
Oracle Linux 5.6
I don't know if I need a second set of eyes or if I am missing something.
Problem: Given a file of text csv with header and detail records (identified by the first field in the file) use sql loader to load the header and detail of the tables in a single operation.
The header record is to take, but the detail records are rejected by omitting the WHEN clause.

I try to help the developer on this, and it resists change to use external tables. Even if I can overcome that, I now have a puzzle I want to solve, just to add to my knowledge. Plus, I have some concerns at this stage that whatever it is that miss me here could also come into play if I convert external tables.
Ed,
Are you sure that put you the post in the right place? It should be located in the first definition of the following field each time after the first when clause clause. Put after the first when the clause is optional. When I use the following with what you have provided, it loads 1 record in the table header and 3 records in the Details table. Did you actually do or tell your developer to do and wish that he understood and put it in the right place?

Mobile without restarting DATA file?
Hello
I extended the Tablespace and my error, I added one of the data file in this place: /oracle prododuct /- as shown below. I have not updated + symbol while adding the file, for example, Alter tablespace add datafile '+ DATA01;
All other data files are stored on DISKGROUP + DATA01.
Can I move this data file to the same location as the other files without restarting the database or anything like that? I saw in log backup script to database auto that all data files are included that I added, but not this one (/ oracle /... / DATA01)

How to split a large data file
Hi people,
I have problem here in oracle 10g on Windows 2003 (32 bit) so we have a datafile (.dbf) of 21GB size and we are not able to copy during cold backup OS throwing under error, we are working with the provider of the OS on this. Please let me know if any best way to divide data files in oracle.
Operating system error: insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
Thank you
RambeauHello
If the data file size is 21 GB and you want to get rid of it, then I suggest to create a new tablespace with fixed data file size and then move all the objects in this tablespace to new tablespace and drop the old tablespace and rename tablespace again with the old.

I'm sorry, but I do not understand that "Instance" means here.

Are you do not use a spfile? The file actually contains 3 values? What's the latest? Have you checked the value in the database side "see the db_files parameter?

Still, I don't know what that means.

I am sure, you have not a problem with this setting, 1500 files in the database is fairly large. Recently, I've built a demo, the default 1021 was ok for me. You should have done something wrong somewhere.

I don't see why this should be failed.
Hello
the problem is bounded by default, char (255) data... Very useful, I know...
you need two, IE sqlldr Hat data is longer than this.
so change notes to notes char (4000) you control file and it should work.
see you soon,
Harry

I use Photos as a screensaver as described here:It seems that if I have too many image files for the photos as screensaver. After the screen saver slide show has worked for at least 20 minutes, it lags behind trying to leave the screen saver and return to the desktop.What are the specifications of file recommended for use of photos as a screen saver?
- file size in MB (which resembles all default values in C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper
- dimensions maximum file (which looks like all default values in C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper
- types of files (extensions)
- maximum number of images supported
When you look at the pictures in my file they all seem to be in the 2 MB and range 1920 x 1200. So my only guess is that having too many is the problem. It does not lag when I change the directory of C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper. I'm only here a hypothesis, some data of real functional specs would help immensely.Stats of the computerThis built in May 2011 (summer operational solid with zero problems, with the exception of the GAL Photo screen saver when you return to the office)OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bitCPU: AMD Phenom II X 6 1100 T 3.30 GHzRAM: 16 GB memory DDR3 1600Graphics card: Radeon HD 4670 1 GB 128 - bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x 16Hello
-Did you do changes on the computer before this problem?
Method 1: Run the Microsoft FIXIT from the link and if this resolves the issue.
Fixed problems with Windows Live Photo Gallery that does not
http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/windows_photo_and_slideshow_diag/en-us
Method 2: Follow the steps mentioned below that can help you in the matter of fixing.
(a) open with Windows Explorer %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\(you will find files there are two: TranscodedWallpaper.jpg and slideshow.ini).(b) open slideshow.ini > Remove its content > Save changes.(c) delete TranscodedWallpaper.jpg (you can substitute your own file of that name).(d) restart the computer.(e) re - create the slide show and check if it helps.Method 3: If the problem persists, I suggest to maintain the computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem persists.
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the troubleshooting steps, see step 7 in binding boot is a way of putting your computer to normal startup mode.Hope this information helps.

sqlldr question: field in the data file exceeds the maximum length
Hello friends,
I am struggling with a load of simple data using sqlldr and hoping someone can guide me.
Ref: I use Oracle 11.2 on Linux 5.7.
===========================
Here is my table:
When I try to load a text file data using sqlldr, I get the following errors on some files that do not charge.SQL> desc ntwkrep.CARD Name Null? Type ----------------------------------------------------------------- -------- ------------------ CIM_DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(255) CIM_NAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) COMPOSEDOF VARCHAR2(4000) DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(4000) DISPLAYNAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) LOCATION VARCHAR2(4000) PARTOF VARCHAR2(255) *REALIZES VARCHAR2(4000)* SERIALNUMBER VARCHAR2(255) SYSTEMNAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) TYPE VARCHAR2(255) STATUS VARCHAR2(255) LASTMODIFIED DATE
Example:
=======
Sheet 1: Rejected - error on the NTWKREP table. CARD, column REALIZES.
Field in the data file exceeds the maximum length
Looking at the actual data and count the characters for the data of the "CONSCIOUS" column, I see that it is basically a little more of 1000 characters.
So try various ideas to solve the problem, I tried to change to "tank" nls_length_semantics and re-create the table, but this does not always helped and always got the same errors of loading data on the same lines.
Then, I changed back to byte nls_length_semantics and recreated the table again.
This time, I have changed the table manually as:
Yet once, loading data failed with the same error on the same lines.SQL> ALTER TABLE ntwkrep.CARD MODIFY (REALIZES VARCHAR2(4000 char)); Table altered. SQL> desc ntwkrep.card Name Null? Type ----------------------------------------------------------------- -------- -------------------------------------------- CIM_DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(255) CIM_NAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) COMPOSEDOF VARCHAR2(4000) DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(4000) DISPLAYNAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) LOCATION VARCHAR2(4000) PARTOF VARCHAR2(255) REALIZES VARCHAR2(4000 CHAR) SERIALNUMBER VARCHAR2(255) SYSTEMNAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) TYPE VARCHAR2(255) STATUS VARCHAR2(255) LASTMODIFIED DATE
So, this time, I thought that I would try to change the data type of column in a clob (navigation), and again, it is still impossible to load on the same lines.
Any ideas?SQL> desc ntwkrep.CARD Name Null? Type ----------------------------------------------------------------- -------- ----------------------- CIM_DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(255) CIM_NAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) COMPOSEDOF VARCHAR2(4000) DESCRIPTION VARCHAR2(4000) DISPLAYNAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) LOCATION VARCHAR2(4000) PARTOF VARCHAR2(255) REALIZES CLOB SERIALNUMBER VARCHAR2(255) SYSTEMNAME NOT NULL VARCHAR2(255) TYPE VARCHAR2(255) STATUS VARCHAR2(255) LASTMODIFIED DATE
Here's a copy of the first line of data that fails to load each time any how to change the column 'TRUE' in the table.
Finally, for reference, here's the controlfile I use.other(1)`CARD-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1` `other(1)`CARD-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1 [other(1)]`HwVersion:C0|SwVersion:12.2(40)SE|Serial#:FOC1302U2S6|` Chassis::CHASSIS-mes-fhnb-bldg-137, Switch::mes-fhnb-bldg-137 ` Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.23, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.21, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.5, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.7, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.14, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.12, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.6, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.4, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.20, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.22, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.15, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.13, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.18, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.24, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.26, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.17, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.11, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.2, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.8, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.10, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.16, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.9, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.3, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.1, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.19, Port::PORT-mes-fhnb-bldg-137/1.25 `Serial#:FOC1302U2S6`mes-fhnb-bldg-137`other(1)
load data infile '/opt/EMC/data/out/Card.txt' badfile '/dbadmin/data_loads/logs/Card.bad' append into table ntwkrep.CARD fields terminated by "`" TRAILING NULLCOLS ( CIM_DESCRIPTION, CIM_NAME, COMPOSEDOF, DESCRIPTION, DISPLAYNAME, LOCATION, PARTOF, REALIZES, SERIALNUMBER, SYSTEMNAME, TYPE, STATUS, LASTMODIFIED "sysdate" )
The default data in sqlldr type is char (255)
Modify your control file following which I think should work with VARCHAR2 (4000) REALIZES:
COMPOSEDOF char(4000), DESCRIPTION char(4000), LOCATION char(4000), REALIZES char(4000),

What is the maximum number of files that I can place in a subfolder in FAT32
FAT32 maximum number of files in a folder
The maximum size of a directory of FAT32 is 32-bit 65536 entries. A file it will take at least 2 entries according to the length of the file name. Long filenames are stored in 16-bit UNICODE characters, and only thirteen characters are stored in the directory entry.
Big directories should be avoided for performance reasons. For example, adding a file requires all existing entries to be analysed in order to avoid duplicates.
FAT32 specification can be downloaded here:

How can I add data file to an existing table on Oracle RAC ASM with no OMF? Thank you!
Hello
So I guess you have some files in ASM, see your first existing file structure
Select file_name
from dba_data_files;
and to add to an existing table, the example below (even if you're better sticking with OMFs!)-is that what you are looking for?
SQL > create tablespace TEST1
2 datafile '+ DATA' size 1 M;
Created tablespace.
SQL > select file_name in dba_data_files;
