  We would like to offer final exports to most of our customers with the following parameters:

  Format: Quicktime

  Codec: H.264

  Quality: 100

  1920 x 1080, 23.976, progressive, square pixels

  make maximum use

  Audio: uncompressed, 48 kHz, stereo, 16-bit, single track

  When I used to export video for ~ 5 minutes using these parameters with the first or Media Encoder CC (7.2.2.29), I would get a file ~ 1 GB. If I export a video of 5 minutes using these parameters in the first or Media Encoder CC 2014 (8.0.1.48), the result is ~ 4 GB.

  Any ideas on what this could be? I guess it's a user error, but I can't nail down what it is.

  OK, so it was a problem with the user. On the model that I had created in the former CP, the flow was limited to 10 Mbps, and I does not have a limit in the 2014 version. I don't take this in my original test because I ran on another computer I normally use.

  I use after effects CC 2014 and doesn't seem to be the option the most export through AE to H264. There was formerly a button in the preferences to allow obsolete codecs... not there more with CC 2014. Then... I added my renders in Media Encoder. The problem is that it does not calculate my project working in linear Workflow so all my renders are very dark and evil.

  Someone at - he found a work around for this? is there a Media Encoder button that I need to put on for linear workflow?

  I have usually make an intermediate file without loss of AE render queue and then use that file in Adobe Media Encoder.

  I have never cared for After Effects h.264 encoder and was happy to see it go. I'd rather the AE team focus their limited resources on the program of work well and let the Media Encoder team working on the best way to code something.

• DW seems to be saving and using a version cached of my stylesheet.css

  In our workflow we (note that several people) will often use transmitted to pull on a page and the css file associated with our live server in the Sites folder on my local drive using transmission. I'll then use Dreamweaver to make the changes I need to do and then push the files back up the server. We can end up making the number of iterations of these files over several days.  I'm pretty positive that the files on my local drive are to be replaced. (I tested) However, recently I had a problem where it would seem that the css file I am edit in Dreamweaver is not the file I'm parked, but is instead an earlier version. So, I make my changes to the page, I am train, pushing the html and the CSS to the live server and note that while the page I was working on all the changes I made, other pages will appear to be using an older version of the css which may not reflect the latest changes often made by another colleague.

  Does anyone know if Dreamweaver maintains a cache of files? May DW load a version cached instead of the version I'm parked? If so, is there a way to disable this "feature"?

  The cache is done by the browser and most likely by the server. Google's browser cache to rid the evil browser, see the it guy for your server.

  I have been using Adobe first CC and CC encoder, but today all of a sudden it will no longer send footage out of the window of export and first on Encoder settings.

  I had the same problem the week last in first Pro CC.

  I pressed the SHIFT key while I started manually Media Encoder.

  Make sure that you hold down until it loads completely.

  Sometimes something will get corrupted in the boot process and the programs lose their connection.

  I also did the same thing with the first start-up.

• Media Encoder CS6 not using all cores of CPU or RAM

  I currently exports a second video 90 (using the preset of 1080 p HD Vimeo), and it takes about 30 minutes. It is extremely odd that I have an i7 990 x OC'ed @4.5, 12 GB RAM, SSD, etc..

  I looked at the performance tab in Windows Task Manager and saw 4 wires were not used at all, only 20 to 25% of the CPU has been used and only 6GB on the 9 GB I've specified is used.

  After playing with it a bit more, it seems that the problem is with the new layer of Adobe Premiere Pro setting.

  Initially, I had an adjustment layer sitting in my whole 90 seconds of video with the effect of the USM in it. It took 30 minutes to render.

  A test, I deleted the adjustment layer and applied USM to each individual element in the second sequence 90. This reduction in the time of rendering in two and the Media Encoder has finished the video in a little less than 15 minutes.

  Since the timecode effect uses the Arial fonts, the font must be installed and active on your Mac.  By default, this font is installed on a Mac system.  I wonder if this font is accidentally turned off or removed.  Could you launch an application named 'Book fonts' in your Mac application and see if the Arial is installed and active?  There are a few types of police Arial such as Arial Black, Arial Narrow, Arial Hebrew and so on.  What you need is the ordinary 'Arial '.  Do you see it?

• After Effects and Media Encoder do not use system resources!

  Hi all.

  I have a small problem with the AE and me. None of them use all the resources of my computer.

  I have 8 GB (2 * 4 GB) of RAM and an Intel i5 - 2500 K CPU.

  When rendering previews, AE takes forever to load the clip (about a second image every 10 seconds). When rendering (encoding) clips inside of ME and AE, everything is extremely slow. This only happens when I'm making large compositions, or using pre-made (and very large) model effects.

  Course of the coding, AE / ME use about 50% of the CPU and RAM, instead of the full capacity. Surely they would be better if the use of the full system resources?

  I even tried setting the priorities of processes for AE and ME "Very urgent", but this doesn't make much difference.

  AE already has 39 GB of space available for the cache, preview is disabled during the encoding in me. I gave them as much RAM in their respective preferences, but this makes no difference. I understand that the programs will be a bit slow when the compositions of work with high calibre, but they do not even use as much capacity is available on the system.

  I take a little over an hour to encode 30 seconds a clip.

  Nothing to correct because nothing is broken. The programs wil ltake what they need and not beyond that, or more specifically, what are their internal infrastructure can be used. Many encoding jobs require a strict linear processing, like many effects in AE, which severely limits the ability to use multiple cores / processors to anything. Moreover, things like access to the linear files in formats based video suite would consist of the issue. And finally, of course, it matters a lot what is happening in your projects. If your film is loading slowly, move it to a faster drive. If it is compressed, decompress / convert. If you use slow effects, replace them with faster commercial third-party plug-ins if you return to clips, speaker of image sequences. The list for the optimisation potential could go on and on, but suffice it to say that none of this implies simply by pushing a magic button or checking a specific option. You must learn these things and refine their experience.
