Questions of linear workflow with Media Encoder CC 2014

I use after effects CC 2014 and doesn't seem to be the option the most export through AE to H264. There was formerly a button in the preferences to allow obsolete codecs... not there more with CC 2014. Then... I added my renders in Media Encoder. The problem is that it does not calculate my project working in linear Workflow so all my renders are very dark and evil.

Someone at - he found a work around for this? is there a Media Encoder button that I need to put on for linear workflow?

I have usually make an intermediate file without loss of AE render queue and then use that file in Adobe Media Encoder.

I did it for years.

I have never cared for After Effects h.264 encoder and was happy to see it go. I'd rather the AE team focus their limited resources on the program of work well and let the Media Encoder team working on the best way to code something.

  • Video error setting DirectShow with Media Encoder

I have a software named Swift with which I create subtitles for various clients.  I have a client, however, whose videos regularly give me an error message of the following type (when I try to load them): "impossible to define DirectShow Protocol."   My question is: can I use Media Encoder to export a version of the video that will not give me this error message?  So far, the answer appears to be 'no,' because I exported the original mov file as an avi and a mp4 and two videos gave me the same error message.  But there seems to be a lot of options in Media Encoder, I thought that perhaps a combination of these options can output a video that works in fact for me (who wouldn't give me a piece of error message "DirectShow" Protocol).

Any ideas how (or if) I can use Media Encoder to create a version without video problems?

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: For some reason, the same Swift software on another computer usually seems to load the videos without problem.  I can't solve this because Swift is telling me that their product is not licensed for Windows 10, both of my computers using.

I think I answered my own question.  I've exported the problem as a wmv file and that wmv seems to work very well.

  • A HLS (*.m3u8) file is possible with Media Encoder CC2014?

Hi all - I have a first sequence (on a Mac) runs 30 seconds to export to a file HLS. I was unable to find this option in Media Encoder CC 2014. The platform that it's going to is the network of CIP12. Their specifications which troubles me are below:

Size/size: 640 x 360 - flv, mp4, wmv or mov files accepted; File size: up to 500 MB

    Recommended format is HLS (*.m3u8)

    Video: 600 kbit/s COMPRESSED

Audio: 48 kbps, with a sampling rate to 22 k Hz stereo

    Video codecs: VP6

    Audio codec: MP3

    Framerate: 28 fps

    Bitrate: MAX 1000

    Thank you for the ideas!

I found that Sorenson Squeeze can this output format. No Adobe are supported at all.

  • Larger file Media Encoder CC 2014 exports Media Encoder CC with the same settings

We would like to offer final exports to most of our customers with the following parameters:

    Format: Quicktime

    Codec: H.264

    Quality: 100

    1920 x 1080, 23.976, progressive, square pixels

    make maximum use

Audio: uncompressed, 48 kHz, stereo, 16-bit, single track

When I used to export video for ~ 5 minutes using these parameters with the first or Media Encoder CC (7.2.2.29), I would get a file ~ 1 GB. If I export a video of 5 minutes using these parameters in the first or Media Encoder CC 2014 (8.0.1.48), the result is ~ 4 GB.

Any ideas on what this could be? I guess it's a user error, but I can't nail down what it is.

    Thanks for your help!

OK, so it was a problem with the user. On the model that I had created in the former CP, the flow was limited to 10 Mbps, and I does not have a limit in the 2014 version. I don't take this in my original test because I ran on another computer I normally use.

  • How to uninstall Media Encoder CC Mac OS (after installation of Media Encoder CC 2014)

    Hello

I would like to uninstall Media Encoder CC as I now Media Encoder CC 2014 installed.

It is close to 2 GB and I need the space.

It is not a shortcut to uninstall as it is for most other applications CC?

Could I try by dragging to the trash but having read that adobe apps must be uninstalled with a uninstaller?

    Thank you

    Alan.

Alan that you need to remove all applications that use Media Encoder CC.  You can find more details about uninstalling applications Adobe Creative to install and update the apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html.

  • Alpha out with Media Encoder

    Hallo

I would use the "Export to Adobe Media Encoder" command in After Effects to send a demo of an Alpha channel for be coded in the Media Encoder, but this workflow does not support Alpha channels, or am I missing something? I use CC2014

    Help, please

    Nick

You want alpha RIGHT in almost all cases. Avid, FCP, organization, AE and any other composition or editing app I've ever used prefer straight alphas.

Create a custom template that is using, for example, QuickTime JPEG2000 and choose 32-bit like that.

You'll find yourself with a straight alpha QT which will work properly in any application. If you multiplied before, then you must use the mark to make and to beware of the edges when compositing.

Here is the result to make test in AE. Note the file interpretation and transparency.

BTW, you can save the preset (I did it) and use it at any time by setting the preferences of the SOUL.

  • 10 x slower with media encode that Premiere pro direct export of rendering

We use CS5 (use Adobe since 2004). I opened a sequence (published in first without length fantasy effect - it just open title & title closing - 4 minutes). It's HDV so nothing special or out of the ordinary.

If I turn the sequence by clicking on FILE = > EXPORT = > MEDIA and export in this way it will take about 1 minute to make the file.

If I close first and open Media Encoder and import the same sequence and return with exactly the same settings, it will take 10 or 11 minutes to render.

I tried the most obvious areas such as closing all other programs and only opening media encoder, as well as ensure that the allocation of RAM is the same for media encode, but nothing seems to restore Media Encoder at the same speed.

No matter what video format is on the entry or export... media encoding is always much slower.

Why Media Encoder takes much longer to make?

You have a CUDA card that can run hardware MPE?  You're upgrading scaling and deinterlacing of video on export?  You have a maximum quality made verified?

If you answered Yes to all 3 questions, then this is the answer to your question.  SOUL CS5 uses the MPE software for certain operations (such as scaling and deinterlacing) even if the MPE material is available.  Direct export of the Pr use an MPE material for these same operations.

  • Transcode files to DNxHD with Media Encoder 6 .mov

I want to transcode .mov files (H.264 shot on Canon 5 d Mark III) to 175 in Avid DNxHD for editing. I know that later versions of Media Encoder allow to transcode at DNx. Y there a way to download the DNX to Media Encoder codec.

Is there a way to upgrade to the latest version of Media Encoder without buying any monthly option creative cloud?  I bought one of big packages of software before they switched to creative cloud. I wouldn't pay for the monthly fee when I just paid for software.

Lol all versions of SOUL are now on creative cloud.

Sorry if a creative cloud subscription will not work for you, but it's the only way to stay current with Adobe software.

My confusion is if will satisfy these parameters:

    2-channel stereo multiplexed with video

The flow of Transport MPEG-2 or MPEG - 2 Program Stream

No, I think that the default values are sufficient.

  • Serving images while making the project After Effects with Media Encoder?

    SOOOOO.

I went with SPECIFIC anti-aliasing on vector files.

This causes rendering to crash if I do not purge every image.

    IF

I want to make in the background using Media Encoder,

    PEUT

I get to purge all images too?

Does it not follow the project settings?

Or is it a different preference in Media Encoder?

    Thank you

    TRIS

As a process dynamic link, rendering SOUL does not allow for such deceptions. Eitehr it works or it's not. Only AErender and AE itself obey this setting particular pref. If you are simply interested in the rendering of BG, consider buying the BGRender of AEScripts script.

  • No help no wiggle effect when rendering with Media Encoder

    Hey!

I wanted to make my project (by 'add an AE project') media CS4 encoder. After the rendering process

My effects wiggle that I asked my images did not regard and seemed not at all. When I

    make right with AE4 work.

I need to change settings or choose a special format in media encoder?

I would be happy to answer!

    best,

    Alex

Unfortunately, this is a bug in Adobe Media Encoder - it does not properly handle expressions, if they are created in the default language. If your AE works in English but in German, SOUL SOUL runs the instance of AE context it uses to manage the AE projects also in German and your break expressions, because they are language-specific. Nothing, that you can change. To work around the problem, consider using the wizard to Convert the Expressions into keyframes keyframe before rendering with SOUL. For some layers with simple stuff that should be acceptable, but of course it will be a nightmare with many expressions.

  • Problem with Media encode CC 2015

I tried to encode H.264 files less than 2 hours... I did the show Wednesday but would now do the Show Thursday, but he's given me problems.  I get the follow-up:

    -Encoding Time: 01:42:08
    31/05/2016 21:08:47: encoding failed
    Export error
    Movie compilation error.

    Unknown error.

I cleared the cache file to rebuild Prime Minister.  Still having the same problem... Sometimes a quarter of the way in and some in half or more and I have the error.  I can encode a smaller file without problem, but I don't know what to do.  and I have this project and 2 more to go... I've been holding place... Please help... I can't find anyway to contact adobe.  He says that I don't have phone support... I use to do not know why... I pay my monthly... Any help thanks!

  • Media Encoder CC 2014 using updated versions cached Precomps in AE and sequences nested first?

I see this weird thing where Media Encoder uses earlier versions of certain assets when you export a sequence first Pro CC 2014.  I see problems with nested sequences... Media Encoder uses an older version of a linked AE comp or it does not make a certain video track. With linked AE comp... I see Media Encoder use an earlier version of a precomp into the main computer.

When I look at the video in the export settings dialog in Media Encoder, shows the old version of the model of EI.

    Calvin,

Please try to disable "Import of the sequences in native mode" in the preferences of the SOUL. I have confirmed there is a bug there and turn that off comes back to the old behavior of dynamic links that have not experienced this problem.

    Thank you
