If you still encounter this problem, please try the following troubleshooting steps.
Solution 1: Sign out of Lightroom 5.5 and then connect back with your Adobe ID
Solution 2:
Set the permission to the folder SLStore & SLCache:
NOTE: Do this twice, once each for the SLCache and SLStore files.
Mac:
- Use the Finder to navigate to/Library/Application Support / Adobe / SLStore or/Library/Application Support / Adobe / SLStore.
- Control-click on the folder and choose read information.
- Expand the section sharing & permissions.
- Click on the padlock icon in the lower corner on the right. Enter your administrator user name and password when you are prompted, and then click OK.
- Set permissions:
System: read/write
Admin: read/write
Everyone: read/write
- Click the gear icon and select apply to closed. Close the dialog box for information.
Win 7 / 8 to win:
SLStore: ProgramData\Adobe\SLStore
SLCache:Win 32 bit: program files Files\Adobe\SLCache\
Win 64 bit: Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Adobe\SLCache\
- In the file Explorer, right click on the SLCache or SLStore folder, and then select Properties.
- Click the Security tab and set the permissions:
Administrators: Full control
Power users: all except extraordinary and a total control
System: Full control
Users: Read and extraordinary
- Click on advanced and, if requested, accept the (UAC) user account control elevation prompt.
- Click on the owner tab, select administrators and click on modify.
- Select Replace owner of subcontainers and objects. Click on apply and then click OK.
- Click the permissions tab, and then click on change permissions.
- Select Replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable of this object. Click OK, click Yes.
- Click OK, and then click OK in the Windows Security dialog box. Click OK to close the advanced security settings dialog box.
Suggestion 2: Rename the SLCache folder and relaunch Lightroom 5.5

Trial version of Lightroom does not recognize my creative cloud membership!
I downloaded the trial version of lightroom and then joined the creative cloud. Now, whenever I run lightroom what he asks of you sign up. How do I recognize that I have the cloud membership creative lightroom?
Jeff, thanks that worked. I think that when I bought creative cloud, I also created a new id for adobe membership. I think that adobe application manager kept referring to the old id until I disconnected and then again ID associated with the composition of the creative cloud. Everything is OK now. Thanks for your help.

Creative cloud showing not updated to Lightroom CC
My creative cloud is not see the update of Lightroom CC. When I start the program it tells me there's an update. To upgrade to the latest version of Lightroom for use with your creative cloud membership, exit Lightroom, launch the creative cloud application and click the button 'Install' next to Lightroom 5. It doesn't have the button 'Install' next to Lightroom 5. What should I do?
I was able to update once I signed of cloud creative and back as he showed the LightRoom CC with the installation option. I was not seeing this until I disconnected and back in. Thanks for your time to help with my situation.

If I choose "Check for updates" in the Help menu in Lightroom 5.7 I get the message that an upgrade is available. If I click on the button 'Download' from there I get sent to a web page with this message... «To upgrade to the latest version of Lightroom for use with your creative cloud membership, exit Lightroom, launch the creative cloud application and click on the 'Install' button next to Lightroom 5 "well there is no button 'Install' next to Lightroom 5 because creative cloud app reports that Lightroom is ' day'"»
You must sign out of creative cloud in creative application cloud and then reconnect.

recently, I changed my credit card and I forgot to update the info card in adobe then my Ps and Lr are closed and I just paid but lightroom says 'update your membership' what should I do?
I see that the CC purchased February 22, 2016 is active.

I'm totally frustrated trying to buy a membership Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
I enter via the German Web site, and after choosing the product and enter my data CC asked me to CONFIRM, however, I get redirected to the front side with the payment again instrucktions.
I have alredady tried three times, no change.
There is no support from Adobe on the weekends, but assuming the peaple that many are active buying from Friday to Sunday I really don't understand why Adobe does not support.
Can someone give me a hint?

A unique creative cloud membership can only be installed on both machines only and you will be able to use one of them at a time. This is a special exception that we have provided to our clients creative cloud.
